You couldn’t have said it better. On point Hotfreeze: |
What about millions of Nigerian citizens that don’t have a bank account? In my opinion I would suggest a real time electronic device that will display votes as they come in in each polling unit, this display will be put up like a bill board with the info of each participating party, as people enter the booth to vote, it registers. You’ll eliminate manual counting and manipulation of figures. |
Take a look at these people on the queue, do they look like people who come to Nairaland or who have twitter accounts? Thats why all those twitter polls and online polls are nothing more than circus shows. We still have a long long way to go!!! |
Nsogbu adighi, o ka i muru anya maka ndi ara juru ebe a. Ndewo onye oma!! okenwaa: |

If you cannot trust your own girlfriend without checking her phone then why are you dating her? I would advise you to forget snooping or checking your girlfriends phone, you will just be giving yourself unnecessary high blood pressure. The one who will be loyal will stay loyal, the one that will cheat will cheat. You think it’s by checking of phone that will keep her in check? |
I do not contest about Tonye’s pedigree in Rivers state. What I’m saying that I’m the CURRENT political sphere in PH, Tonye’s candidacy is dead on arrival. Former militants have carved out fiefdoms and all of them are backing Wike, that’s why it will be difficult to wrestle power from PDP in Rivers state. The APC personality on ground in Rivers state is Magnus, he’s more acceptable than Tonye. Lagos politics is entirely different from Rivers state politics, where Tinubu cash push a total neophyte and the person wins. Rivers is more brawn than brain. Aruksman: |
The commitment ends at his mouth!! Abeg talk another thing jare! |
Bro, I understand that there’s a need to launder Tonye’s image in the media. But all these write ups will not change anything on ground in Rivers state. I have lived in Rivers state and I know a little about the local politics there. How many people know Tonye Cole in Portharcourt? Rivers state is a tough place to survive and you must be brutal and violent to be able to survive there. The warlords and gangsters in PH will never accept Tonye over Wike, that’s the plain truth. APC’s best bet would have been Magnus Abe but see as Amaechi is trying everything to scuttle that. It’s a pity really. Wike is in firm control in PH and the warlords are in agreement with him cos he dey settle wella. |
Does this not confirm what Davido tweeted earlier? And one slowpoke in UK was calling him a political novice, and some here were even in agreement and abusing Davido, tomorrow these same ones will complain about how things are bad in Nigeria. Smh!!! |
Bro, for the fact that he was caught shows he wasn’t smart enough. He was caught in less than a month. Even in his petition, Atiku put the guys phone number there. Cos you speak several languages doesn’t mean you have access to the best tools to staying anonymous. Evans was at his trade for 5years or more before he was apprehended. I also never take any news at face value, but I know that whatever necessitated the guy to threaten Atiku and his family will not be revealed but bottom line is that he was caught easily. Of course there’s always an exception to the rule, even in nature. But I’m yet to meet one, and in my family we have a fair share of lawyers, Lol!!! barristerzinny: |

Lmao!! My brother we haff really suffered, dat tin can kill my vibe like kilode ![]() dkronicle: |
I agree with you, especially regarding our skill set to manage and govern ourselves. The average Nigerian will rather leave everything to God, hoping one day, while everyone is asleep, he’ll come down and wave a magic wand and everything will be ok. Meanwhile God has provided us with a land flowing with milk and honey, did I say flowing? It should be over-flowing!! Look at all the mineral resources we posses, look at our population, but we are unable to harness all these effectively to achieve greatness as a nation. Sad really. Naajjii: |
I actually opened this thread cos I was curious to know who took first position!! Let them check very well, Nigeria should be first, abeg, how can common Venezuela be dragging position with us, haba!!! ![]() |
I disagree with your analysis. It does matter a lot. APC is out for blood and an open endorsement by Omisore is all they need to rig the numbers in their favor and claim they were votes from SDP. I doubt if there’s going be low turnout by the way, because a lot of Osun indigenes have been galavanised for and against the incumbent. It’s a fight to finish!!! tigerclaws: |
We got it wrong when we glorify and celebrate ethnicity over competency We got it wrong when we refused to hold elected officials from the local government chairman to our state governors, accountable for not providing these amenities We got it wrong when we refused to be involved in the local politics of where you come from or reside, but only care for your daily bread Until we start stoning and shaming ALL politicians for non-performance and demand answers why things are not the way they are supposed to be. There was a country.......... |
Hahahahahahaha!! You can never make a statesman out of a thug!! Wike grew up politically as a thug, in fact that’s the only way to survive in Rivers state politics. And now time and chance has favored him to be in control of PDP. I know he’s referring to Atiku and it’s a pity cos Atiku IMO is the most credible person who can defeat Buhari, but I also know very well he won’t be picked as their flag bearer come Oct 5th A few months back I opined to a friend that Atiku made a fundamental mistake by going back to PDP. He could have moved to a different party altogether and recreate his identity. PDP will forever have a negative tag even in years to come. Now that Wike is in charge he will never allow someone who’s more powerful than him to be nominated or take over the reigns of PDP, when he’s not a Tinubu, Lol!!!! |
Bro, there are people who devote their time to get stuffs like that. They are ready to spend money to get it, so leave that one. And there are Nigerians who work in intelligence units even outside our shores. As for the dude, he probably just started and not well researched in the art. Maybe he never heard of using foreign sms gateways and cloaking techniques. Anyways, las las dem don catch am, good riddance!!! ogatboy: |
Damn, this guy must be a learner, for you to threaten someone like Atiku and think you won’t be traced and u did it with a Nigerian mobile number smh for u. And to those thinking it’s scripted, kill that thought. You see this IRT team that arrested him are one of the most sophisticated police units in Nigeria, if they come after you just know that they’ll get you unless you are not inside this country. I was one of those who thought the whole thing was scripted when the news was posted here, but from what I can see, they had already started tracing the guy even before we all read the news of the threat. Nice!! |
See as that one hold spoon like pesin wey dey disabled, all in the name of posing abi forming posh!! Lmao!! ![]() |
Exactly my point!! sogodihno: |
If you remember, rumors have been flying around even before now that Tinubu wasn’t backing Ambode for 2nd tenure, it has never been substantiated until now. Moreover Tinubu is one who doesn’t show his hand very early, so most of the APC loyalists weren’t even sure. What I know is, Ambode’s administration has positives so also there are the negatives, but in a situation where the negatives out weigh the positives, then there’s a problem. wizzypro12: |
Out of the 36 state governors, Ambode will rank among the first 3, even if he wasn’t returned for 2nd term. I mentioned his positives. But like I said, you can’t be a leader and not carry your party along, that’s a recipe for disaster, which is what’s happening now. For you to survive in the Nigerian political sphere, you need to carry your party along. It was on the shoulders of these party men that he was lifted up and made a governor. And when you juxtapose his performance with his immediate predecessor, I wouldn’t say he did better. Mklanceee: |
