Kaneneaya:
For purposes of enlightenment, I would like to highlight areas of Obiano's achievement that impressed me;
1. Infrastructure - (a) The international airport, the best in Nigeria with satellite landing system, the technology that enables America to land planes on their aircraft carriers anywhere in the world. (b) 10,000 international conference center, one of the best in Nigeria. This can help make Anambara the entertainment center of West Africa. (c) A lot of road networks for easy movement from one end of the state to the other.
2. Lighting up of Anambara State. Major streets in Anambara have streets light.
3. Education. Anambara is now competing at an international level. For many years Anambara students have been wining many awards, both nationally and internationally. America has now set up a cultural center in the State with the sole purpose of luring these students to America where they will join people like me in the country for more than 40 years, helping to keep America number one in the technology sector. I'm most excited about the 12 technical schools Obiano built which will be producing up to 9,000 graduates a year. Technical education was what helped China to develop so fast. Chinese are today considered as mater builders and manufacturers.
4. Agriculture; Under Obiano, rice production rose from 85,000 metric tons to 530,000 metric tons surpassing the state consumption of 330,000 metric tons. More that 2,000,000 metric turns in casava production. Fish farming and animal husbandry are areas that are currently getting attention from the state government.

No wonder America and Britain voiced concern during attempted rigging of Anambara governorship election because of their interest in the State.
Do you know that in order to complete the Airport Project, the I.C.C Project, and the Awka City Stadium Project before leaving, Obiano had to keep the Whole Economy of Anambra State on a stand-still, and money was not properly circulating...
Only the Legacy Projects were receiving attention, and then the recurrent expenditures of the State..
And what was the resultant effect??
Many people who were doing other contracts with the government reduced the number of the semi-skilled and unskilled staff.
More poverty greeted the people.
And they went back to their villages to do agriculture.
Some of them adhered strictly to agriculture for survival.
While some started adding some other bad stuffs, and doing bad things to survive.

The laziest ones among them had already lost total hope in the whole system, and started waiting on Biafra to come quick and save them from the current frustration.
..
All these were caused by the poorly calculated, badly-timed legacy projects.
And he is planning to name the Airport After his name, in order to immortalise himself.. So selfish of him.

Aba pig. Obiano did many roads and bridges. You think Obiano is your fat incompetent Okezie that has been building one flyover for 7yrs.

Obiano built single handedly an international airport with all the link roads.
You say what??
Apart from the main eye-service entrance from the express,, name any other link he had done and dusted..

Airport road..
Which is an eye-service road.
And it had not been completed on the other side of it.

So, I can't take this response of yours.
Show me another road.

These two pictures are one road.

We have various official and unofficial channels to monitor our Governors and I can not disclose all here. The monitoring begins from Day 1. For example, right from Day 1, from the first week HE Ambode took over and security became low with rising cases of crimes and attack in traffic, Lagosians were all over the channels stridently complaining until he addressed the issue, later was the citizen complaint against Lastma which at some point led Lastma to go on strike which was later resolved. His projects too were being monitored, for example, it was from his first year in office that Lagosians have started complaining that he is not continuing with legacy projects but starting new ones.

When he took the PSP job from the ordinary people he underrated and sent them into bankruptcy despite several appeals to him when he gave the job to a company called Visionscape, he was told to his face( the video is still online) that he will not get a second term and as he is paying them back with evil after supporting him. HE Ambode never got second term.
His wife also had some problems with the Head Clergy in the state chapel who was fired. Do not try the buzz that created especially among the indigenes.
For HE Sanwo olu, the first target was to reverse the unpopular policies of HE Ambode, return to the legacy projects, complete the new projects initiated by HE Ambode before commencing his own projects. He is following through with these agreements including the Lagos Smart city, new universities etc. That is why he is likely to come back.

So if we monitor our own Governor in Lagos and I recommend same to you, please take it in good faith. You may not get anything from Prof Soludo unless you monitor him closely.

He has a penchant for trying outlandish experiments and you need to know that at FG level of CBN , he has so much funds to play with like the multibillion dollar currency minting contract he signed out to an Australian company, the $7 billion gift to private banks etc but at state level, resources are meagre and you must insist on getting value. He will not be signing multibillion dollars contract of free money he had in CBN. Now he has to defend his budget unlike his tenure when he does not submit budget to a legislature and how he will cope now that he is not going to sign off with a jumbo severance package is yet to be seen.

As he is starting first by playing to the gallery, that is the first red flag that he is going to get his priorities wrong and as he is overpromising, he is likely to underdeliver.

He is more of Prof. Ayade until he proves otherwise.
It was easier for Lagos to monitor and assess their leaders because there is a template.
Now, he produced a template with which Anambra People should monitor him with.
..
I guess that's a step in the right direction

You are a complete mad man. So Obiano had no plan but he delivered an international airport in 18 months, something that hasn't happened in the history Africa. He has no plan but he delivered on worldclass international airport, built stadium, roads, bridges, flyovers, etc. How was it Obiano's fault that investors that came to partner government failed to fulfill their part of deal? Aside that many more MOUs came through, like Awka Millennium city, and many others.
Even at his swearing in for second tenure,, the Airport was not even in his plan at that point of swearing in.
He just woke up from his dreams one day and dabbled into the airport project,, and he crippled the whole economy of Anambra State for 22 full months (almost two years) just to make sure he delivered the airport.
If not, it would be a wasted dream.
Dreams and plans are two different things.
His scores would be out in the public soon.
Let the sycophants leave the space first.
..
..
Did you say ROADS??
Name just five roads he completed in his second tenure.
..
In fact,, name just three roads that started and completed in his SECOND TENURE.

One hopes that Soludo does not end up a theorist that gets everything right on paper, but can't deliver much in real life.

One thing about Obiano is that he is a hands-on type of leader. he focuses on a few things and makes sure he delivers on them.
You would soon hear the scores of Obiano soon.
He has lots of lots of abandoned projects scattered everywhere.
No good plans For Them before they were awarded.
And no plans for them again after they were awarded.

All these are waste of precious time and resources.

While it is good to have a governance, if you like, a developmental guide for a state, the big issue is, is there any law that criminalizes deviation from such development plan.

What will happen if a governor emerges and decides to execute his own programs outside of the state's development roadmap? That is the issue. It is not all about having a development plan.

What sort of development plan disenfranchises its people by not conducting LG elections and allowing the people choose their leaders, at the lowest level of government?

Shey, you can see that the document is nonsense? Does the document address the lack of transparency in IGR collection and utilization?

These are nothing but facades. I prefer a yearly, thorough prepared, high human impact, and strictly implemented budget to all the compilation of intangible hogwash being paraded all over the media.
You have not seen the document yet.
You have not read and digested it.
..
Why the hasty conclusion naa?

Meanwhile,, there had been yearly budgets, and it's not going to stop.

Ghana is not even in the first 5 in Africa. Also, Ghana redenomimated its cedis in 2007 by knocking off 4 zeros and the new cedi has lost almost 10 times in value.

Last year, Ghana ran out of fx that it took Imf saving them yet this was same Ghana that had its debt written off by imf few years ago.

Ghana has new oil discovery unfortuately it still did not help Ghana's fdi. I honestly worry for Ghana because they are my brothers and sisters too. Comparing Nigeria to Ghana is unfair to Ghana when the worth of the top 10 billionaires in Nigeria is worth more than the GDP of Ghana.

That is why I am telling you not to play to the gallery if you have Governors like Prof Ayade and Prof. Soludo. Go to the real substance of governance, check them.out under HDI parameters and keep eyes on him dispassionately.
As we type here, there are some parameters under the HDI that you will be shocked to know that Lagos towers over Isreal and about 75% of the countries in Europe and most countries in Asia.
If you are from Anambra, monitor Prof Soludo well . Do not make the mistakes Cross Rivers people made with Ayade.

Soludo is drawing 70 year plans. Did Obiano and Obi work without plans? Or why is he not ready to continue from where they stopped?
Obiano signed several MOUs, let Soludo implement the terms. Everything is not to be crying like a baby. Man up and argue like someone with brain.
Peter Obi had short-term plans.
Obiano had no plan at all.
He signed MOUs that he was not ready to implement and he didn't keep to the terms of those MOUs.
So, what is there to Soludo to implement?
Would he rush to implement MOUs without doing full feasibility studies of such MOUs?

Politics › Soludo Submits Anambra State's “VISION-2070” Perspective Development Plan by BluntCrazeMan(op): 5:42am On Mar 11, 2022
According to Professor Charles C. Soludo
..
This afternoon, in the company of some members of the Anambra Vision 2070 Committee, I submitted the final document of the State's 50-year Perspective Development Plan to His Excellency, Chief Willie M. Obiano, the Executive Governor of Anambra State.

Two (2) years ago, precisely in November, 2019, Governor Obiano thoughtfully commissioned this project to draft for ndị Anambra a development plan by and for themselves. This is one unique point of this effort, we strived to secure the imprimatur of every segment of Ndị Anambra. And today, I can boldly say that the Anambra Vision 2070 document is a development plan by the people to the Government. Of course, successive administrations would find this a veritable tool across sectors.

While at this, I worked with a team of dedicated members who worked assiduously to ensure the success we today celebrate. I wish to particularly honour the memory of Chief Oscar Onwudiwe, who transitted to the great beyond in the active service of this committee. May his soul continue to rest in peace. Amen.

Congratulations ndị Anambra! God bless us all Immensely.
