Death of just one presiding officer in one Polling-unit is such a delicate issue., and it can cause a lot of negative impact.

Meanwhile, if there are 1,200 registered voters, and only 2 persons came out for accreditation, and they got accreditated, and the 2 of them voted,, that election is very very valid.

The person you quoted is correct.
If all the people sat at home, and only few people voted (even if it is 0.000001%), so far that there are no cancellations of any Polling-units (which may cause the number of affected voters in the cancelled Polling-units to be bigger than the margin between the first and the second person), then a winner is definitely going to emerge.

Thus, for the Election to inconclusive in the midst of the Sit-at-home Order, there should also be widespread violence at the Polling-units..
If not, if in the midst of the Sit-at-home Order, the elections were generally peaceful, then there is no need for any cancellations.
And therefore, a winner must emerge.

And if Anambra people don't come out to vote, they have delivered automatic victory to APC that needs to take over Anambra through Andy Uba through whom Buhari intends to use to fight IPOB in Anambra. That is the game plan

All these while there was Insecurity in the state, they never cared.

Kudos to the IGP and his team. No ragtag group should be allowed to challenge the democratic order in Nigeria to the extent of threatening the smooth conduct of an election, it is unheard of. IPOB and its criminal members over to you, this is a challenge the security agents.
If Anambra election goes on as planned despite IPOB misyarns of no election, then IPOB is weak and should never be obeyed by anyone.

So, what if there still happened to be disruptions and deaths (which I really don't pray for) and then an inconclusive Election in the end, what would you say??

ANAMBRA ELECTIONS: IGP OVERHAULS SECURITY LANDSCAPE AHEAD OF POLLS

• Deploys DIG Joseph Egbunike to Anambra as Coordinating DIG Election Duties..

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc has ordered a major overhauling of the security landscape in Anambra State ahead of the 6th November, 2021 Gubernatorial Elections in the State. The overhauling includes the deployment of selected seasoned Strategic Commanders from the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police and above to Anambra State for effective supervision of security personnel and operations in the Elections. The IGP noted that Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Joseph Egbunike has been deployed to Anambra State as the Coordinator of the security component for the Elections.

2. DIG Egbunike is saddled with the responsibility of overseeing the implementation of the Operation Order evolved from the Election Security Threat Assessment, to ensure a peaceful environment devoid of violence and conducive enough to guarantee that law abiding citizens freely perform their civic responsibilities without molestation or intimidation. DIG Egbunike will be assisted by the DIG in-charge of Operations, Acting DIG Zaki Ahmed. Other Strategic Commanders deployed to Anambra State include five (5) Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs), fourteen (14) Commissioners of Police (CPs), thirty-one (31) Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) and forty-eight (48) Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs). The Senior Officers are to coordinate human and other operational deployments in the three (3) Senatorial Districts, twenty-one (21) Local Government Areas and the 5720 polling units in Anambra State.

3. The IGP reassures the nation that the Force is adequately prepared for the Gubernatorial Elections in Anambra State come November 6th, 2021. He reiterates that the Force will do everything within its powers to work with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and all stakeholders to protect democratic values, provide level playing field for all political actors, ensure adequate protection of voters, INEC personnel and equipment, accredited observers and other key players in Anambra State.

4. The IGP calls on citizens in Anambra State to come out en masse and exercise their franchise as adequate security has been emplaced to protect them before, during and after the elections.

UPDATE ON PREPARATIONS FOR THE ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) met today Tuesday 26th October 2021 to review preparations for the Anambra State Governorship Election holding on Saturday 6th November 2021.

Submission of List of Polling Agents

Section 45 of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) requires political parties participating in elections to submit the names and addresses of their Polling Agents, accompanied by two passport photographs and sample signatures of each Polling Agent to the Commission at least 14 days before the date fixed for the election. The last date for the submission of such list for the Anambra Governorship election was 21st October 2021.

In line with the Commission's avowed commitment to deepen the use of technology in elections, a dedicated portal was designed for political parties to upload the names and other details of their Polling Agents for Polling Units and all the three levels of collation (Registration Areas/Wards, Local Government Areas and State collation). A detailed breakdown of the submissions by political parties has been uploaded to the Commission's website and social media platforms for public information.

COLLECTION OF PVCS BY NEW REGISTRANTS

In our previous update, the Commission informed the public that a total of 138,802 Nigerians completed the registration in Anambra State.

After a thorough cleaning up of the data, it was discovered that the number of multiple registrants was 62,698. Consequently, the number of valid registrants dropped to 76,104. During the same period, there were 5,674 requests for transfers, update of voter information and replacement of lost or damaged cards, giving a cumulative total of 81,778 PVCs. These cards have been printed and will be delivered to our office in Anambra State on Thursday 28th October 2021.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Anambra State and his staff shall work out the most efficient means of ensuring that the voters concerned collect their PVCs in earnest. Fortunately, the Commission has the telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of all the new registrants. They will be contacted to make the collection seamless.

The Commission once again assures the people of Anambra State of its determination to proceed with the conduct of the election and appeals to all the critical stakeholders and citizens in the state to cooperate with the Commission for a successful exercise.
