Hello everyone, I kindy want to know if anyone has been admitted for study in Rheinland Pfälzische Technische Universitat for the coming 2025 Winter session. I asked becuase my brother got admission into the institution and we want to know if someone has same plan and will be willing to meet up and scale through all processes and accomodation together. My brother is already is Germany though, he changed from his current school to this new one. As for me, I have been in Germany since 2018 and this platform really helped me alot back then. I am glad that this platform is sustained in form of credible information and all. Thanks!

Congratulations to you and your family.

Festaco:
Finally my wife and daughter got the Family Reunion visa to join me in Germany.

Below is the detailed process

6th May, 2022: We applied for visa appointment

July 10, 2023: We wrote the embassy asking for expedited process as we were expecting our baby but we received the usual email that they have numerous applications and shortage of staff.

July 21, 2023: Wifey got a mail for visa appointment

14th August, 2023: Appointment date, everything was provided including 180k for verification but it was skipped by the VO; we had a missing document (my blue card). I had gotten a job then but was still using my student residence permit waiting for the appointment at the ABH to change it in order to get a new work/residence permit.
NB: We also informed the embassy of my wife's possibility of putting to bed before the visa is issued and they asked us to inform them as soon as the baby arrives and to submit the baby's application indicating my wife's application number so that the could add it up to my wife's application. This was handy as it reduced the waiting time for the baby.

26th October, 2023: Our princess arrived, we equally informed the embassy a few days later.

6th November, 2023: Blue card was submitted to the embassy. we were given until October 30, 2023 to submit this, but wasn't possible as appointment with the ABH could not be accelerated. But in all the waiting time, we kept the embassy updated with the whole situation.

6th December, 2023: Baby's application was initiated, with her passport data page and birth cert properly attached as required.

7th December, 2023: Got a mail at my address to submit the usual documents (Payslips, house contract, job contracts etc) to the ABH

8th December, 2023: Got appointment mail from the Embassy for our daughters visa interview

18th December, 2023: Submitted all the necessary documents to the ABH

8th January, 2024: Went for the Visa interview of our baby girl

5th February, 2024: Embassy requested for NPC birth certificate of our baby, we asked them to check in their custody, we submitted the said document on the interview date as we had no missing document for our daughter.

13th February, 2024: Went to the ABH in my Stadt to sign the Verpflichtungserklärung (sponsorship declaration for my wife and baby)

15th February, 2024: Approval Mail to submit passport for Visa

28th February, 2024: Passport and travel insurance was sent to the Embassy.

21st March, 2024: Received passport with visa via DHL

Glory be to God.

It was a lengthy process but with patience and the grace of God, success will be achieved. All the best to everyone still in the process. Feel free to contact me, if you need any suggestion/advice.

Good day everyone, Please I have an important enquiry and any helpful information will be highly appreciated and most importantly if anyone has encountered similar challenge in the past.

My wife had her interview for family reunion last year June. All requirement fulfilled but in the end, the application was rejected on two grounds.
1. That we got married after I entered Germany and
2. That my study visa's validity was less than 1 year.

I appealed the rejection on the ground that i already found a full time job and I already submitted my application for full time Work permit at the Berlin Immigration and awaiting response.
Unfortunately, my application for the work permit was not approved by federal job agency in Berlin due to some issues (long story). All this back and forth took 6 months or thereabout. At the end, German embassy in Nigeria replied my appeal and finally rejected our appeal in January, 2024.

By the end of Feb. 2024, my work permit was finally approved and I wrote to embassy in Nigeria, we got an instant reply that we should book a new appointment. This is really sad, one can imagine waiting for another 16months or more to get a new appointment.

Meanwhile, while the issue was going back and forth since last year, we attempted to atleast book a new appointment for my wife since we didnt know what the outcome would be but the system was not allowing us and it kept saying "A different appointment with the same entry was already booked". When this first happened, we thought it was bcs our application was still ongoing. So now, after the final rejection, we still got the same error till this moment.
My questions now are:
1. Has anyone been faced with such scenerio before in term of not being able to book a new appointment after rejection?
2. What are the options available for us if we don't want to wait for another appointment which is over a year?

I forgot to add that we welcomed our first child in December last year. Would such development may atleast also move the German embassy in Nigeria to give or reduce the appointment waiting time?

Thanks for your anticipated response/s

Wait.... How did you receive admission letter 26th of June and have interview 2nd of July.... in LAGOShuh huh How e take happen?
Let me clear the uncertainty, yes I got visa appointment while I was still waiting for my admission. Now how did it happen? I remember posting on this thread sometimes April that the university I applied to sent me a document addressed to the embassy stating that I had a proper application for admission in their school and that the embassy should grant me an interview date with the document. I used that document with my BA confirmation and international passport to book appointment in April and the embassy gave me 2nd of July, I also remember urging others to request for such document from their various schools which would enable us to book appointment ahead so that what happened in 2017 would not repeat itself and some people sent me DM which I put them through.
I hope I have cleared that.

I used the same confirmation letter to book my appointment. It will definitely work.

Tips to anyone awaiting admission decision by July but needs to book visa appointment in advance. It was a bad experience last year for some of us who could not book visa appointment for winter session due to the rush. Because i was also a victim last year and i told myself i must book my appointment ahead.

while i am still awaiting admission letter from the school i applied to, i sent an email to the school explaining my last year experience and the need for me to book in advance, the school then sent me a letter of CONFIRMATION of the existence of a proper application for admission addressed to the consulate general. I used this letter with other required documents to book an appointment via email this morning particularly requesting for a date in early July and it was granted. The implication is that if the school finally give me admission by June ending, i am good to go.
It may also work for you.

Please anyone should help me with a clarification on this issue. I applied for masters in a private university in Germany and according to the school, decision on admission will be made by June ending, the school then sent me a letter of confirmation of "admission in progress" addressed to German consulate and urged the consulate to grant me appointment date by early July in case of admission. Now i have two questions bordering me:
1. Is it advisable or wise for me to use that letter and other required documents to book a visa appointment?
2. Is it also wise for me to apply for appointment by April 1st against July appointment as stipulated by the Consulate putting into consideration the enrollment date which is 1st of October, 2018?

I am also a victim of "booked out appointment" last year and i don't want to take a chance this year. Please any advise will be highly appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.
Below is the email i got from the school:
Thank you very much for your email and further interest in our master’s program.

Dear Mr. Funso,
You should apply for a student visa and therefor you should ask for an interview or visa appointment in July and not in June 2018. Because we need time for the final decision regarding the admission ranking list, you will get your formal admission letter at the latest on 29th June 2018. That is why I suggested to book an appointment in July. On 29th June you will get the message with an admission letter or with information regarding the rejection or follow up procedure for not admitted candidates, so that you can prepare your visa appointment (in case of admission) or cancel it (in case of non-admission.)

PoliticsThe Power Of A Letter: Ignore The Messenger But Not The Message by Bmfunso(op): 1:43pm On Jan 24, 2018
THE POWER OF A LETTER: IGNORE THE MESSENGER BUT NOT THE MESSAGE
The above caption is simply the best way to describe Dr. Obasanjo's letter to President Buhari. Obasanjo's letter is so powerful that anytime it's rocketed into the political airspace, the political atmosphere always become cloudy and moody and everyone is then tempted to watch with keen interest and give a close observation of where it may land. The last time he launched the ballistic missile by way of letter was during Jonathan's administration , he christened the missile with bold inscription of "BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE", many political supporters of Jonathan with biased mind thought the missile was going to be lost in the Bermuda triangle but surprisingly and unfortunately the atmosphere turned into an unpredictable eclipse and at the end, the atmosphere changed from Jonathan's administration to Buhari's adminsitration. That is the power of a letter.

A letter that has kept every lips wagging and nagging, many opinions have been battling for supremacy within the media space, the letter gave birth to PROS AND ANTIS, protagonists and antagonists, that is the power of Dr. Obasanjo's letter and whether we like him or not, the bitter and gospel truth has been said. The main focus of this article is to give the arithmetical and empirical analysis or xray to the message of the messenger and not the messenger of the message. After all the messenger of the message is not a saint and he also contributed to why we are all in this unfortunate condition.

The message emphasized with daring audacity and temerity the failure of this present administration in so many areas including but not limited to insecurity, economic quagmire, nepotism, lopsidedness, abyss of incompetence, killings by marauders and so on. The message also called for coalition movement where a neutral but concerned Nigerians will be at the helm of affairs. Dr Obasanjo's narcissism then kisses its own reflection in the mirror when he suggested to be part of the movement, i consider this a great insult and a slap on our face, he should probably be thinking of how to apologise to us for being part of the problem. The last part and in fact the most sensible message in the message is the emphasis that youths should be accorded the opportunity to lead this country, that leads me to herald his message with trenchancy, an excerpt from his letter says "Youth must be part of the action today and not relegated to leadership of tomorrow which may never come" . Now we are happy that our political leaders and fathers are gradually admitting failure and dereliction, this is a then a wake up call and a clarion call for all of us to actively participate in politics and stop our social media rants (although many of us are guilty of this)..

As 2019 is approaching, we need to relegate all these buccaneer politicians with rudderless and visionless leadership, we just need to stop feeding from crumbs left by the leaders and take charge. God bless Nigeria.
