And anytime I listen to her voice on fone I always feel guilty for not getting married to her mom. But I want a kind of satisfaction 4 myself in †ђξ future but at †ђξ same time I always feel sorry for my baby girl for allowing her to come into dis world and not enjoy dat parental care and affection she needs to ave. Dat guilty conscience burns my heart everryday. And I always try to make her happy by meeting up with her needs.

One of the major determinant (if not the only determinant) of having 2 persons with the same 'paper qualification' but different ability, skill and capacity is leadership

Leadership accounts for while some command attention (because they deserve attention) while others beg for it, it accounts for while some with good grade are not making it (they are toiling) while their colleagues with meagre grades are excelling, it also accounts for while some suceeded where others stumbled.

It accounts for while some embraced something (because they saw it as a great opportunity) while other run away because they saw the same thing as an insurmountable problem....

snoopy: The abuzaria vs delsu topic...."Childhood experience...." I felt the topic didn't elicit much passion, interest and vigour as against the uniben vs oau topic on amalgamation which was infinitely rich in content and served as an enthralling read post after post. Its also arguable that some topics tend to favour one side more than the other not necessarily as regards what side has more points at its disposal but that some side might have work extra hard with more research. For example the topic.."We need to focus more attention on agriculture as a nation than oil and gas" ordinarily the supporting side to a topic as this will have it easier as the topic seemingly mirrors the general consensus. It would be great if the topics that allow for equal tasking be used in the next round. Just my honest opinion tho which is very much subject to disapproval

I must point out that some debaters make mistakes which are not very obvious.

One of those mistakes is in the interpretation of the topic. Take an instance the topic 'we need TO FOCUS MORE on agriculture rather than............' is wrong. Because it is ambiguous. Audience and even judges may take for placing agriculture over oil and gas. What the topic really suggest is to manage both sector simultaneously. The topic is 'we need to EXTEND OUR FOCUS to agriculture rather than major in oil and gas'.

I believe the two topics are different.

Even if the topic is as you claim I expect debaters to shift ground when making conclusions. This ushers in the second mistake I observe. There are some topics that debaters need to shift ground when making their conclusion. E.g 'Posting of NYSC members should be limited to their.......'

Also, topics in debates may not favour both sides with the same magnitude. I believe the aforementioned should be employed. *Just my observation*

However, I believe coordinators will duly consider the topics and your observations for better debates.

niyi20: To be honest with you fynestboi I am really disappointed with you and your coordinator . Initially I thought it was 5p.m because of Friday debate . I asked for more time but you gave us an extension of 2p.m if I can recall it was around 12:30p.m . I had serious problems with my phone and all my write up but since you said its 2p.m I had to search for cyber cafe .when I get one it ws almost 1:30 .yout can't imaging d way I was typing like a mad man in the cafe and you have the guts to say I can't represent my school well.
its not our fault that futminna didn't show up my partner was not feeling OK and I was ready to go solo with them . You have absolutely no right to disqualify us just like that . To me it seems you guys already have the school you want in mind . I am really angry and very disappointed in you guys . I wasted my time , my energy and my money
