jayned: Just finished mine in a very relaxed environment. I was asked to submit my SOP which I had luckily printed.
All they checked was my Bsc cert and my awards from my place of work.
I was drilled on my research topic . I could not answer some of the questions.
Meanwhile my time was slated for 2 and I was there by 12 and was interviewed some minutes later.
All the best to us all. Pls, is it d research topic for your undergraduate dissertation or proposed M.SC research topic? |

AlphaPen: Hello ambitious youths. I did mine today at UI. It was for MSc.
I was ushered in and told to submit all my docs. There was a four-man panel and I was seated at the center, making us form some sort of semi-circle.
It was intense I must say. I was bombarded with questions from every corner but I was prepared. My deduction is that, they just wanted to test my readiness. If you wrote your SOP yourself and it's relevant to the Oil sector, you will be fine.
That was my experience.
However, I found out from other applicants that they were interviewed by a two-man panel, in the same UI. They even said it was more of a chat or rendezvous.
Imagine the contrast as against my experience. So, it boils down to grace. Pray and be ready.
And remember, whatever is meant for you will never pass you by.
Best wishes fam.
Let's meet at the top.
#BlessUp Wow. This is serious. God's best |

Sherlock5577: MS or PhD? Most of my answers here are related to that of the MSc applicant. 1. Formal 2. They are all OK, but remember a folder may be considered more presentable than a clear bag. 3. Basically questions from your SOP; Intended career? Relevance of your proposed research to Nigeria's oil and gas industry and your intended career. Depending on the panel, you would be asked some technical questions from your SOP. Have a detailed understanding of your SOP . 4. Composure and Confidence are key. It's just for a few minutes say about 10 mins. Panels vary, so be prepared for any eventuality. Be open minded!!! Carry as many awards or publications as you have to the interview.
You're welcome It's actually MSc. Thank you so much. I really appreciate |

Hi, Please I have some questions. I have an interview this week for the PTDF UK scheme. I will really appreciate answers from those that were interviewed during the FGC scholarship interview.
I have never attended an interview like this.
1. Can you please suggest a dress code/mode of dressing 2. Please how should I package my documents? Should I put them in a parcel, my clear bag or what? 3. Please from your experience, can you state some specific questions to anticipate? 4. Please give any other advice
Thanks |

NYSC › Re: Why I Want Nysc Scrapped by boay(op): 3:44pm On Apr 15, 2017 |
pyman11: my contribution toward this debate was that if the federal govt scrap the scheme did u think the money spent(#32billion)will be judiciously used for the country benefit........I don't think so....let the graduate continue to benefit the little given to them through the so called NYSC scheme...... I don't think graduates are really benefitting in the final analysis. I have not served, but preparing to, the amount I made in a month is more than the 19,800 naira they will be paying during NYSC. This meagre amount cannot sustain an average Nigerian youth in a month. That shows that they (our leaders) still expect graduates to be dependent. That is crazy! |

kaysy: If only you know how fraudulent the average Nigerian mind is..... How i just wish Secondly, can't you people ask yourselves that this NYSC you've been calling FG to scrap and they kept a deaf ear to the call, don't you think there is something they are seeing that you are not seeing? can't u ask your self this question and then start a critical research to unravel the reason behind FG's decision, do this and submit ur report in 2years time, i'll be waiting
There you go again, they should still scrap JAMB? Do u know that JAMB is the only reason why children of the rich and poor sits together in same class in schools like UNILAG & Others? An average Nigerian youth both graduates and undergraduates knows nothing and knows not that he knows nothing. It is crystal clear that you don't know how dumb Nigeria leaders are. They've not lsitened to the call for cancellation of NYSC because some of them are too busy embezzling funds. There reaction to the demand of the public cannot be a yardstick to justify it existence. They do not have the time and the intelligence to do a critical 'cost-benefit analysis' of the scheme. Besides, it is also apparent that you may be oblivious of the fact that many of them are funding there purses from the scheme. If Nigerians can forge B.SC or HND certificate, do you think they cant forge that of NYSC. Well, we've seen that several times. This is where you are missing things about UTME/JAMB. I never said I want it scrapped. Read my post again. |
