Conspiracy theories are fantastic. Psychologists can give a reason why when conspiracy theories are spun, people begin to see some truth in it. For me l, I think it’s simple, they give a story and leave it to our imagination to build the rest. The story multiplies and goes as far as your imagination can go, how wild you can think and sometimes based on the level of intelligence. Some have told us how Coca Cola contained a human blood hence its color, some told us how someone injected drinks with his HIV infected blood and how he planned on infecting the world and lots more. That points out to why I said, sometimes, the Level of intelligence can determine how far one can take some stories and theories. Many have called for the withdrawal of the term “human beings” from those who believe the JUBRIL story. Many have questioned their intelligence and will not touch them with a ten mile spoon. I on the other hand wish to weigh the different angles and let those who are for or against pick a side. Which ever side you pick or remain on, you will personally know your level of intelligence and how smart you are. First, it is necessary to note that to talk about the President is to understand that he does not belong to himself anymore but to the safety/security apparatus set out for his protection. Sometimes when we ask why will our President go to a foreign country for check up or for treatment, it is laughable to believe he is the one that will choose to say “oyah take me to Bolayemi health Center”. You need to understand that the the best medical care and best treatment for the President is the concern of those tasked with that responsibility even without the President’s say so. I’m pointing this out so we know that whatever concerns the President is not in even his own hands or the hands of the politicians who can say for Politics or Party’s sake, let us do this or do that but rather, the Body that bears that responsibility; the designated security agency/department. FOR AND AGAINST:- FOR:- National Security and Interest.:- There are some issues and things that occur that we citizens don’t know about. We sleep with our eyes closed and wake up peacefully without knowing things that were averted by our Intelligence/security agencies that could burn the country aground should something have gone amiss. They work just to keep us safe, believe that or not. Some things are distasteful to the ears and we may see as being off but may be in the interest of National security. It is on this premise that I want to say, let us say for National interests sake, 2015 could have been a bad time in our history if the President died (God forbid). There were tensions during this period and people peddling rumors that could destroy the country. Southerners in the north could have fallen victim of the worst form of Massacre in the country’s history should something bad have happened to the president. People peddled rumors of a plan against North for mischief’s sake. So let us say, in the interest of National Security, the Security apparatus decided to save the situation, we needed a double, to keep the country working and avert a national disaster. Create a less evil to birth a greater good. You are feeling my own theory too and seeing the possibility too now baa?? AGAINST:- A stunt of creating a “Double” cannot be done by our country alone, singlehandedly pulling such stunt, that is a fact. Such news cannot be hidden in such a country except ofcourse, the host country, UK had a hand in it and helped to perfect the plan but If for anything, the mere fact that all that was said to have occurred did not occur on our soil, in our hospital, forget it. You may say it was a private ward I’ll ask ; with our doctors too? Our nurses? All black faces?? Without cameras?? Let me cast our minds back a little to the “journey to the great beyond” of a former prominent King, the former Ooni of Ife. When the news came in that the King was gone, his people without performing the required rights before announcement came out to debunk the news. In a span of few hours, his picture was out there . The picture of the former King, where he “journeyed” in that faraway country. Not in this ‘World’ can such a secret hold. AGAINST:- Let us say, in the interest of our country (Not forgetting my National Interest theory) they needed to save the nation with a double, so our Intelligence and security agencies leave the shores of their nation and commit the greatest TREASON OF ALL TIME, bringing a FOREIGNER to be our Commander in Chief ![]() AGAINST:- Let us assume he was the only available option there was for that period which needed urgent attention, do we sincerely believe a foreigner will be allowed to go a Second term and again control the affairs of our country ?? Interesting. The truth is neither dead nor buried but is only hidden and whatever is hidden will one day be found. Do we believe with the different intelligence reports of countries, such happening will be concealed and unknown to other countries?? So much so that in July 2018, such committee of Nations will appoint President Buhari as a Chairman of Ecowas ![]() JUBRIL from Sudan could be a movie title, a superstitious postulation, a Conspiracy theory but never in the league of all the things that make up Reality. Come back to the real world, vote for who you want in Peace, peacefully. Do that however in the confines of reality. |
LordXaaan:What your comment here means is that you don't even know the difference between the word "context" and " contest". That is why the statement does not make sense to you because you are internally interpreting the word wrongly. 1st, context means 'within the scope of this', 'in this regard', 'as it concerns this particular topic' etc. Secondly, the first quotation with double marks ( " ) is when you want to quote a statement, a speech, a title, etc putting the statement, speech or title the way it is, or the way it was coined by whoever initiated it. E. G: Tolu told me " Hey, I will break it if you stick it in". I just quoted verbatim what Tolu said. Also, "A million ways to die in the West" is the title of that movie. Here, I just quoted exactly, the title of the movie. The single mark quote ( ' ) is telling you en quote, or in quotes; explaining an emphasis on the quoted and trying to make you take note of that particular word, letter or phrase, encouraging you to understand that it needs a second look as either significant or has what it means in that case. Eg, You ask me what Tolu does for a living and I respond by saying; She? Tolu? Hmmmm, if you must know, she does 'business '. Now what this is saying is the known business is not the real thing she does, but other things... But I put emphasis on the word business so the person knows that I don't mean business in the real sense of it Now take what the guy tweeted. There is a "No 's' in a million in this context" class by 9:am. First remove the quoted and complete the statement. Does it make sense? Yes. :-There is a class by 9am. So what is the title of the topic/class? "No s in a million in this context". However, he decided to put the 'S' in quote for emphasis' sake. Probably to make you understand that 'S' is the bone of contention here, or that 'S' and it's usage should be noted. The most reasonable reason which most likely is, is because ordinarily, "S" AS A LETTER DOES NOT FORM A WORD AND MEANS NOTHING STANDING ALONE IN A SENTENCE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE. HOWEVER, IN THIS CASE, THE PERSON HAD TO MAKE YOU KNOW THAT "S" MEANT SOMETHING ALONE, MAKING IT EASIER FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND THE SENTENCE WITHOUT IT LOOKING AWKWARD SEEING "S" STAND ALONE IN THE SENTENCE. YOU CAN TRY REMOVING THE QUOTE ON "S" AND SEE IF THE SENTENCE WONT LOOK AND STAND ODD. The fact is, 'S' was for emphasis. I sincerely hope you understand now. If you don't, don't struggle, you never will, maybe you never had it in you. Cheers. |

It has become so annoying on Nairaland these days. Agwu was booed, yes, I was there, but was it on an account of his tribe? Y would someone now say such a thing that it was cos he was Igbo. We are destroying ourselves everyday wiv dis tribalism nonsense and some people are making positions, appointments and money out of it. All sides have been told numerous lies to create a programmed machine ready to fight against the other, ad they understand best from the stories heard. But what ever happened to critical thinking by youths these days. What ever happened to objectivity? U better all start thinking of forging ahead as many would be consumed and destroyed by it due to their own self inflicted problems and hatred for another. Agwu was booed, next is his tribe. ![]() Long live Nigeria |

Jakumo:Perhaps, the most informed contribution by an international relations student, a strategic studies know-ee; highly cerebral. U are informed. Mighty likes for you. You know more of what the international circle is like than numerous naive commentators. Bless you |
chuna1985:Hearing things like this just make me laugh and wonder how naive some people are. Ohk, let's do some research. Find out what is known as the ""Echelon"" by the U.S, find out how many times the U.S takes the photograph of Africa in a day. Talk about Long term strategic plans. Do u think it was sheer luck that the USER disintegrated? Saying America did not win the Second world war is one other thing that shows u are not aware of Historical antecedents and occurrences. When all the Allied powers were weak, whose entry made the war end? If u said Ussr, u would have even been close to saying they also aided the end of the war, tho not upto the u.S, . And yes, the US was the first to announce and use the atomic bomb before the Ussr and others started to intensify their making and using it. Even if ure ignorant, isn't it everywhere that Hiroshima and Nagasaki ended all things? Saying U.S did not win the war wen u.s single handedly lifted up the down trodden weak allied powers. Check or ask of what is/was known as the Truman Doctrine, the Marshall Plan. It is normal for many to hate the strong, it is normal for anyone to hate the people who are worthy of their power, buh in ur hatred for their greatness which u hope dwindles, never downplay their strength, capability and power. Never joke with America!! |

. Not trying to derail the thread or something. I hate to comment on tribal talks. Also I do not comment just anyhow. But I must say, that now I know the spirit that enters people when they happen to be first to comment. U may tag this an irresponsible talk today, but u will say these words in a different way tomorrow when ure first to comment. So as they say, FTC!! I dedicate it to the North, South ,East and West of Nigeria. And to the beautiful Virgins in the sky waiting to get rolled over by some terrorists. Lastly, u can hate me for it, but, SAI BABA, SAI BUHARI. THANK YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS U ALL. |
Reyginus:Well, ama awusa and all, it's no P, what I'm telling u is that it's an ongoing development and all those u see are now registered. They can not do illegitimate deals like before, if they do, not in the tune of billions. Ask a banker what I'm saying. Not a contract staff. Do that and then get back to me. @ a poster above me who said anyone can open a new account with a fake name and all, I ask if the person is in Nigeria. Now u have to update ur details and give them ur real address, then they go verify ur address without u knowing it After that is done, from time to time, other people are sent to verify those addresses .if not they block ur account. 2: what do u think the bvn is for, and why do u think after the deadline of January 9, u won't be able to do anything without ur national identification number. Well, there are so many minds who are not privy to some developments going on behind the scene, those who do are laughing at so much ignorance here. I hope many will be able to eat the humble pie by coming back to these various threads to say some people were right and they were wrong. |
Reyginus:Ohk, remember I told u, u can not purchase anything in Nigeria with dollars as we speak now, you can not use it to pay bills, and it can't be spent anywhere because who ever takes it to the bank would be investigated. It is no more a legal tender anywhere in Nigeria. As u can not spend naira in d u.S. So the game: how do u convert ur hundred million dollars to naira.?? |
Reyginus:Hi reyginus I've followed ur comments from the beginning of the thread to this moment. And I believe what u don't understand is :if the present currency can curb corruption as we are saying, why change the colour and waste funds?. Thanks for this inquisitive question. I will sincerely hope if u find a good answer u will support the move, which is the mark of an educated/ intelligent mind. Thank you. First, let us understand that this move is in two folds, the stashed up Dollar bills and the stashed up naira notes. Now first on the dollar. U nid to be aware of the new policy that you can not stash up dollar in Nigeria anymore as u can not use it as a legal tender here. All bureau de change have been asked to go and register with the bank. So, all bureau de change are known by the Bank. All those collecting dollars in western union can not withdraw dollars, the money would be converted to naira immediately + when collecting the dollars, it must be in ur name and u must have an account with the bank you want to withdraw and in the name u are withdrawing/receiving with.(the yahoo boys will confirm this to u, lol). This has blocked the loopholes so if u keep changing dollars at the black market, they are monitored as they also will go back to change and all. So this tells us that to change to new naira note becomes more difficult as these black market ppl also go to banks to get the naira they change dollars to, the new naira being monitored by a new and efficient system, knowing Wats in circulation especially what's given to these bureau de change, so they are being watched, they have to go legit to a large extent, trust me. To the old Naira note, how do u change huge amounts? when u wana change wiv dem bureau de change, I've explained d danger, not forgetting how they have to go back to the bank to convert those notes to the new currency, thus, problem. And having the old Naira note too, if ure going to the bank to convert, how much do u wana take? How many banks do u wana use. Whether u have existing accounts or ure opening a new account, there are backdoor intelligent measures being used to watch the flow of currency now.. would you agree it's a smart move now? This is not some Yankee wishful thinking. It is happening now. Ask those who have a reason or the other to deal in dolls. + No society can eliminate corruption totally, but if u can do so to the barest minimum, u have tried. Bless u bro/sis. Shout out to those who towed this line, @ sukkot @arabknights. Bless y'all. I believe, change is here gradually. BOBBY D BOBO. |
A wise man once said, ""Never believe anyone who tells you that Ransoms are not paid to abductors."" He was a top military man and his wife was kidnapped.... do not be naive. |
I hardly comment on the civil war issue, despite being here seeing how much people have distorted history. Perhaps, the greatest mistake Goon made in the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation era was to make sure the story of the Civil war was not told and never to be revisited so as to help heal the wound. That has been the problem. Cos people have constructed new stories for themselves. And of course, whoever is worse hit, would always tell a story from his/her angle. I would like anyone in a quest for the truth to without bias go and check the build up to the war, the first Coup, then the Aburi accord, how many other Peace talks that were attempted, declarations made after such and who among the two parties Erred. Of course, Oral tradition from those who felt the brunt of what happened have made millions live in another world with a fake history and knowledge of a very important occurrence today. It Pains. Let's try and learn the truth before the gift of truth destroys us. |
yinkarh187:. This is also for u, do some research. There's an endless list.
|
yinkarh187:Oh Fool, where art thy brain? As part of what we re saying, u were thought to forget ur history, not to even know anything about it, buh u can know anything about the western world. U don't even know ur history, u don't know what u had, what u have and what they re still taking from u; giving u a mirage that has so clouded ur thoughts and judgement. I suggest u go and read the Egyptian civilization, I suggest u learn the Trades amongst the great Ghana, Mali, Songhai. Did u even know the old oyo empire had trade and encounters with ppl as far as parts of today's Sokoto(one of the farthest points in naija) our traditional globalisation. U don't even know of any indigenous creation/invention by the black. U have another man's religion and look at ur own traditional religion and belief system as backward and diabolical. The divide and rule was never only physical, they've done that psychologically and today, anything that is urs and of ur culture is inferior to that of the West. In the end, u would see u have missed out and lost it all when u discover ur history can not be traced and u become an individual of no lineage.. if u don't appreciate culture and religion that is urs, don't bother commenting, leave ppl who are discussing about it alone. |
9jacrip, I'm surprised ure joining words with some ignorant and uneducated lots here who have thrown away their birth rights and God given talents. You look up so much to the workings of foreigners, if you believe in that system, it's by choice, believing that Jesus is the one true King is your choice. But believing that those who practice their own traditional religion are bad and trying to relegate them to the background is so backward. Until you know that these people had their religion like u had yours, they came, subdued and conquered u, made u feel they are superior to u, up to the point now that in ur words, thoughts and deeds, all that you are and all yours seems inferior, except it is from the western world. U want to keep taking paracetamol and other drugs that are made specially for ur market, drugs that uve abused so much that ur livers are being eaten up steady, Agbo, u won't take. Wearing native attires to an interview makes u automatically lose ur job but when ure on suit and Tie, ure the man. And then u continue to take this out on culture and religion , annoying thing is this is your culture and tradition, and then the white man even comes to tell u your story, history and tradition. Shame on those lots. Adunni Olorisha(Susan Wenger, God rest her soul) is one of those who lived to appreciate our culture, I bet she would tell u lot your ancestry. Many of u will grow up having children who would know nothing about their history, tradition and all and will live another people's life till they die, once again, SHAME on u lot, likes of dem yinkarh187 and vivalick or what's dat one called. Pity. 9jacrip happen nao? Omu............dun ![]() |
