This is misinformation at its highest. I wanted to keep quiet over this but misinforming people about possible refunds when you have been scammed is not only hilarious but unbelievable and it makes me wonder whether or not you've experienced it up close before.

If you are scammed by an someone, the best you can do is to call their bank and share details of the transaction. This won't help you get a refund. As a matter of fact, banks are not authorised to carry out transactions from customers' accounts without authorisation or permission from either the customer or the government and some of its agencies.

At best, a bank can assist prevent the recipient or scammer from using the account until they visit one of the bank's branch but you will need to go all out to be able to do this.

Banks like Kuda and a few others issue disclaimers and make you confirm you could be sending money to a scammer, particularly for non-beneficiaries. The moment you confirm the transaction and it is sent, you are on your own from thereon out.

It is worse when the recipient has withdrawn the money already. So long you initiated the transaction from your end and confirm that the account number tallies with the account name before sending, there's little or nothing the bank can do to help you realise a refund. For transactions over a million Naira, the EFCC can step in and do all the waka on your behalf. If the money in question is in the range of 50k - 500k or 800k, the police through legal means can place a post no debit (PND) on the person's account.

Before falling victim to a fraud, do your due diligence, insist on escrow, where possible or require a physical meeting.

When i saw that whatsapp me i just laugh but next time know who u are dealing with. But you can still get your money though. Visit your bank and report that you did transaction with him and he didn't deliver, his account will be blocked for fraud and his bvn go hear am. Unless you want to dash him

U all keep saying this, it doesn't work like that, I have enough evidence, even printed them went to the guys bank to complain the lady I met was acting like it was all my fault, and she said they don't have the power to block anybody without a police report...
