Nonsense.... |
Beamborla:same thing i am talking about. |
We use social media as if we own it. Of course, all of us aknowledge the fact that it has changed our lives in many ways, but we don't realise that it has made us lonlier than never before. Posting pictures of what you ate and drank last weekend to show the world yes, i enjoyed, seems like a trend going on for all age groups. I do this all the time, and in fact facebook is like my second home. What we are not realising is that the moment of joy with our loved ones is getting lost by the day. Family dinners or gossip sessions with sisters are getting replaced by the habit of posting status updates every second of the day. Social media has taken over our lives in such a way that now as i sit in my room with my sister, silence overtakes us and it is not because of a fight but because she is busy with what she calls her 'life'. No matter how hard i try to converse and tell her about a new exciting movie coming up, it eventually ends up with a tablet in her hands as she says, 'yes, i'm listening'. Is social media stronger than our relationship? Are we so consumed by it that if it was taken away from us, we can say it would be a matter of life and death? It saddens me that my generation and the coming generations are losing their path to something so dark and lonely. Trying to overcome this epidemic seems impossible, which is sad because in the meantime, we are losing personal touch. Communication is not necessarily just about expressing ourselves or listening to others, rather about feeling the emotions of the person, and that is something that social media has taken away from us. |
3rdeye1:yes, she has to be in uae before dis date. |
3rdeye1:refer to the date on top of the visa. She has to make sure she is in dubai before that date elapses. |
Guykhena:mp4 pls |
Any link for the mp4 format? |
TellBlazer:my brother you already have a nice business on your mind, please pursue it and forget about all these scammers. |
Can you live like this? You are probably above 28years old and you live with 6 or more people in a room. You are probably married and have kids but your wife and kids are in nigeria and you are in uae. Ok good, you are lucky your wife is with u in uae but when she becomes pregnant you send her to naija to be delivered of the baby. After post natal, she leaves the baby back home and comes to uae to continue hustle because you can't afford the schools in uae. the people that enjoy uae are people with salary of above 500k. Those of you that brag about salary of 120k and above, let me ask you. Do you live alone? If you are married, is your wife there with you? If yes, are your kids living there with you? If yes, are they schooling in uae? I bet you can't answer a ''yes'' to any of the questions? If you never travell you no go see. |

Gooci:i mean the employment visa, its not easy to get, therefore there is bound to be a lot of scam. |
Teeboy22:contact dem and dey will tell u all u need. |
Op you missed one of their qualities. They also wear medicated glasses. |
Teeboy22:contact emirates or etihad or some hotels, they can get you a 2week visa. If you are coming to look for a job, pls apply for 1,2 or 3months visa. Go to dubai and look for the job. Or if you can get an employent visa, it is still ok, but be careful about the latest. |
amen1967:heheheheeh amen1967 u ar a funny dude. ''where can i go?'' like seriosly? Please don't be desperate to leave naija. As a matter of fact, for naija, we have so many things on a platter of gold, but we don't appreciate them. When you visit some countries you will understand better. Education is never cheap, but it ought to. I don't know where i will tell you to go now. But if you have a lot of money, i mean a lot, US, canada, australia and european embassies will be happy to stamp their visas on ur passport, but mind you, education is not cheap their either. |
Teeboy22:capital NO. en oo. NO |
Gooci:it is an option for those that can afford to live apart from their kids. Some people can't stay away for so long from their wives and kids. |
Who be dis naijasingle girl sef. If i catch you der eh? Why you wan make laff tear my belle dis early morning. Nice one. Keep it up. |
amen1967:dubai is mostly dominated by single expats, and married couples that usually send their children home for education. With a salary of 3500, doubt the possibilty of your kid schooling in dubai along with other bills you have to pay. Even some people that earn more than 10k/month do send their kids to their home country. The high tuition is not only limited to dubai, but also applicable to other emirates. The government schools are strictly for locals, and a few arabs. This is as far as i know, i stand to be corrected sha. |
No play dat kind joke come my side. Very irritating. |
amen1967:you can get a selfcon room in dubai for as low as aed4k, as for pri sch fess, it ranges from 15k dirham up per year, and that's likely the cheapest u can get. And that is for sch fees only cos u have to pay other fees seperately, like uniforms, text books, sports/games, excortions, now most schools insist on compulsory tablets for their pupil, which u must buy, and some other things. |
dublinkmy6:can u tell me the negative impacts if you know of any? |
NK internet was down for 9hrs, but they have restored it back. |
If observation of cultures and traditions is idol worshiping, then christianity, islam, hinduism and all other non-indigenous religious observations are also idol worshiping. By the way who set the status quo of what idol worshiping is and isn't. It is just the white man's language of making of traditional values to be seen as inferior. So my dear, our cultures and traditions is not idol worshiping. It is who we are, our heritage, our identity, but it's a pity we are losing it too fast. |
Why can't people think with their heads. I'm ashamed of this. Fooooolssss.... |
Sweet bitter kola. My hand no dey. |
