redgem: Standing fan do not cover large areas... If the hook is installed before the pop is set, I don't think it should have any effect on the pop There are standing fans that covers more areas than the ceiling fans. |

mufutau55: Not only the beauty of the POP, but I always think sometimes in feature the installation will be weak and then start rubbing on the POP. So, I have always prefer the rotating standing fans to distribute the air in support of the ACs. There is always a big result when you combine the ACs and fans. My personal two cents.

redgem: They said it spoils the beauty of the pop... 😁😁😁 If your Palour is big, imagine installing two ceiling fans.... If it's not big, one ceiling fan will spoil the show and it wouldn't reach all corners. Classy Chandelier, no matter how small brings out the beauty of pop. |

What if I send the artisan tfare and story come enter (scam things) .... What if as an artisan I use my money and travel from Abuja to lagos and story come enter (call no pick) This is Nigeria, don't blame anyone (the artisan nor client). Our story no good. |

I love this discussion so much (minus the insults).... I may invite an artisan to lagos all the way from Abuja without sending him a dime for transportation. If eventually I didn't give him the job I will surely compensate him for his money, time and all. This is me, some people may choose not to but that doesn't mean they are wrong or bad people. When you put humanity first before your bible or Koran, there would be no need quoting quoting any bible/koran verse for people. Humans were, before the scriptures. |

michlins: I want to do your job and you want to give me your job so it was easy for us to reach a middle ground.
The first job I came to Lagos to do, the client was generous to pay for my transport to take measurements and didn't even ask me to refund or deduct from the job cost.
The most important thing is someone who wants to offer you his job and you understanding that he owes you nothing and can take his money elsewhere There's no fast rule to determine someone who wants to offer you his job. |

What will take your traditional banks bureaucratic lengthy days to process, it takes seconds here. It's called the power of knowledge.

diordaves: You made a very important point: small space. So let me start from the beginning with the assumption that VT is a must.
Academically speaking, I will reject this plan with the VT in the living room. It is possible architecturally not to put the VT in the living room and still have a great plan.
Now let's assume I bought this building from you, like you said, it is what it is.
The improvement I will make will include closing off the toilet door to the living room and place the door in the entry pouch. So visitors access the VT from the entry pouch. I've seen this done. This will mean doing a floor to ceiling burglary proof in the entry pouch to prevent unauthorised access to the VT. You have finished the talk here... This is what I've been waiting for someone to say.... This is why I miss n3xt... |

visaclick: I rather have my vt beside the dining just in between the lobby to the rooms. It gives the visitor a sense of belonging and you are leaving a great impression. The VT at the living room is a still okay as long as there's a lobby to close of any four odour but a vt outside is kind of insulting in my opinion. It's like telling a visitor to take your his or her shit outside. If you didn't want him or her in the first place why the invite? Having a VT in a somewhat isolated part of the house will give the visitor more freedom to shit and mess freely, especially if it is those kind of shit that makes sound like bomb and the shit probably smells like rotten egg..... Ladies would free to change their pads and wash the inner caucus properly in an isolated VT than in the SR VT |

toyeoye: I think there's a misunderstanding here, the guest toilet is isolated and for quick runs but if a guest is sleeping over, there should always be a toilet inside the visitors room. Yes there's a misunderstanding. We are not condemning VT but we frown at it being in the sitting room. There are a million places to site a VT inside a house without sun nor rain touching the visitor.... We all have toilets inside the guest's room, but it won't serve as a VT for me. The architects here know what we are talking about but they won't say a thing. |

KolaShangOne: Bros,
The 597 sqm was used on your building. Every roofing has waste / off cuts.
You owe him 200 x 597sqm. That's what Sonnie was trying to say.
If you decide to pay him less, you're not being fair to him.
You can ask your QS @QSFEMI how its done.
I still don't know how your roof has more than 100sqm "waste". He does owe him anything |

KolaShangOne: Waste means he's breaking your tiles for no reason.
This isn't the case here. Your analogy doesn't fit. Yes some artisans are witches, they can waste materials for no reason. Some can waste it so they will be paid for, as if they used the materials. |
