Paris Saint-Germain have dropped Kylian Mbappe from their preseason trip to Japan.

The Ligue 1 champions have now put the 24-year-old up for sale.

This was revealed by transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

“Kylian Mbappé has been left out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad for the pre-season tour in Japan.

“Decision made by PSG tonight.

“Understand PSG consider Mbappé FOR SALE starting from today.

“Paris Saint-Germain feel Kylian Mbappé wants to leave for free in 2024 — he did not communicate anything yet despite Al Khelaifi’s public statement.

“PSG decided to EXCLUDE Kylian from Japan tournée,” Romano tweeted Friday night.

PoliticsSubsidy Removal: NULGE Demands 300 Per Cent Minimum Wage Increment by Bobloco(op): 9:18am On Jul 21, 2023
The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, has called for a 300 percent increment in the minimum wage for workers across all sectors due to the inflation caused by the removal of fuel subsidy.

NULGE National President, Mr Ambali Olatunji, said this in a communique jointly signed by Mr Isah Gambo, General Secretary of the union, at the end of its regular National Executive Council, NEC, meeting on Thursday in Abuja.

Olatunji said that the 300 per cent rise was imperative considering the inflation necessitated by the removal of fuel subsidy.

According to him, it is the position of NULGE that there should be a 300 per cent rise in the minimum wage for all Local Government workers and other public servants, including private sector workers.

Olatunji also said that the government, as a matter of urgency, should create a special intervention fund to take care of aforementioned social welfare and infrastructural decay through the Ministry of Special Duty.

The NUGLE boss said that the proposed fund should be able to cater for projects and programmes in conjunction with local government.

He further called on the federal government to establish a special agency to collaborate with the local government administration in administering the fund for the development and the transformation of the rural areas.

He, however, acknowledged the effort of federal and state governments to cushion the effect of the economic policies on citizens.

Olatunji also urged the government to utilise the 800 million dollars from World Bank to provide mass transit and other interventions especially in the auto-mobile spare parts companies, to cater for the transport needs of the masses.

He also advised the government to give tax rebates/holidays for low income earners and small scale entrepreneurs, as a way of encouraging and sustaining their businesses.

He added that, “It is the conviction of the union that autonomy for local governments remains the best way to return the country to the part of development and growth.

“This will translate to the direct funding of local governments without which no genuine national development can be achieved.”

PoliticsFuel Hike: It’s Cruel, Height Of Insensitivity – Ondo Workers Lament by Bobloco(op): 5:42am On Jul 21, 2023
Workers in Ondo State have described as wicked and the height of insensitivity the recent hike in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), known as petrol, to N617 per litre.

The workers under the aegis of organised labour, comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Trade Union Congress, TUC, and Joint Negotiating Committee, JNC, fumed after an emergency meeting in Akure, the state capital, that Nigerians were grappling with the impacts of the removal of subsidies while the pump price was hiked again by 25 percent.

They demanded that the state government urgently roll out palliatives for the people and also pay all outstanding salaries and allowances to workers.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the workers said, “The organised Labour in Ondo State, comprising NLC, TUC, and JNC rose from an emergency meeting held on July 19, 2023, seriously perturbed by the insensitive increase in the pump price of petroleum products in the country weeks after a similar exercise without any attendant palliative measures for the already pauperized workers and masses of our country.

“We consequently join well-meaning Nigerians in condemning in strong terms this wicked action of government, as it is beyond the reach of the majority of our people.”

PoliticsTinubu Moves To Block Atiku’s Fresh Petition On Chicago Records by Bobloco(op): 11:15pm On Jul 20, 2023
President Bola Tinubu has filed a motion to quash subpoena before the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, Chicago, USA, against a fresh petition by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

Atiku had on July 11 filed the petition seeking to obtain further details of Tinubu’s academic records at the Chicago State University.

Documents sought by Atiku, through his counsel, Angela M. Liu, include record of his admission and acceptance at the university, dates of attendance including degrees, awards and honours attained by Tinubu at the university, among others.

Atiku informed the court that Tinubu subpoena was to test the truth and veracity of Mr. Tinubu’s assertions, adding that he is currently the President of Nigeria and is facing various court proceedings concerning his election and the authenticity of documents relating to his attendance at Chicago State University.”

But in a reply to the petition, Tinubu’s counsel, Victor P. Henderson on July 19, asked the court to strike it out as no judge of the court heard and granted Atiku the subpoena.

He contends that the petition was presumptive invalid for providing only six days for compliance, which was less than 14 days provided under Rules 219 and 137 of the Illinois Supreme Court Rules.

He said Atiku engaged himself in an “improper fishing expedition about a foreign public official utilising the Illinois court’s subpoena power.”

The rate of poverty in Nigeria is alarming. Funny sh*t is that a large number of the poor population seems unaware of the implications of their dire situation. As long as they're "somehow" better than their neighbor (who is also poor), they are fine. Everyone is just adapting and sinking in their penury.
Honestly, this is the reality
