Yes. It's most likely jamb will change it automatically.

If u check previous posts, someone said his course was changed on caps and he's been offered admission.

It's not possible for someone who chose MBBS initially and later did change of course to maybe chemistry to later get MBBS on CAPS. If UI admits d person for chemistry, jamb will change d person's course to chemistry then offer admission.

U need to be more patient
Its in 2 ways now

1. If UI admits u through the COC, Jamb might automatically change the course for you and the status will be admitted.

2. If it doesn't happen as I described above, UI might admit you into your new course. Then you will have to go to jamb and do change of course, so that jamb will recognise your new admission.

The second one is d way it has been before this year so its unlikely its going to be like that.
Since there's caps now and jamb is monitoring all d admissions, I guess it will follow d first way I explained.

2017/2018 ADMISSION CLEARANCE EXERCISE
This is to inform all candidates who have been offered provisional admission in the 2017/ 2018 UTME admission exercise that the clearance exercise will commence on Monday, 27 November, 2017. Candidates are, therefore, advised to proceed to the admissions portal on www.admissions.ui.edu.ng to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Thirty-Five Thousand Naira only (N35, 000:00) using the approved payment mode. Candidates are requested to bring the underlisted documents for the clearance exercise:
1. Biodata and Acceptance Fee Forms to be filled online and downloaded from the University of Ibadan Admissions webpage
2. Institution and candidate’s copies of the Admission Letter (To be printed from jamb website)
3. Original and 2 photocopies of the UTME Result Slip.
4. Original and 2 photocopies of the credentials uploaded for the screening exercise - SSCE/GCE/CAMBRIDGE O/LEVEL. Presentation of credentials different from what was uploaded will lead to automatic disqualification.
5. Four (4) recent passport size photographs
6. Original and 2 photocopies of Birth Certificate and Immunization Card. Certificates issued by private hospitals and religious institutions are not acceptable.
7. Two letters of reference from two reputable persons on Letter-Head Papers

I greet all the bosses in the house. Goodday everyone. Pls I am a UI aspirant and i took the post utme this year for geology (with English Physics and Biology) and got 39(time factor) but I was not given any aggregate score because I didnt score up to fifty though 234 in jamb. But I plan on taking it again next year but this time with a different course probably an engineering course because I love mathematics . And then I have a job on my hand and I work nine to six, so please is there any way I can balance the job with my reading or should I just drop the Job and focus more on reading?. And which engineering course can I take to guarantee quick job after school? Pls I need your advice

PS:I wrote biology for geology because I had chosen mbbs at first due to parental pressure and when things didn't turn out right I changed to geology with aim of switching to engineering in second year.

Mehn! It's really complicated oh.. But there will always be a way around....

Now, since you're not a fan of biology, it will be highly suicidal to enter the MBBS train. Thank God u freed yourself from that pressure.

Now, about engineering... Well, all engineering courses are okay. However, I can recommend Civil, Mechanical, Elect/Elect (which UI offers) and lastly Chemical engineering (which UI doesn't offer). Let me add, you need to be good at what u do to get a good job in Nigeria. U might also need some additional degrees and certification.

About the job, I don't want u to sacrifice too much, but for d main time, u can still try reading 2-3 hrs daily.. Maybe before u sleep or if u can wake at nyt.

Then, when its like 2 wks to jamb, u could be excused from work so u can face ur readings and revision squarely. I'm saying this cos u claim.to be good at maths, and being good at maths guarantees being good at physics to an extent.


In all, I wish u d very best.

Well, officially, admission list is not yet out. What we have of recent is just confirmation of admission status on jamb CAPS portal. We still expect an official admission list from the school.

IF Ui will maintain this year's policy towards next admission, then the o'level has nothing to do with admission. If she has C6 parallel sef, she will enter if she meets cutoff.

Tell her to prepare well for the next jamb. Its taking 50% of the aggregate. (Jamb score/eight)
Then postume also takes 50% of the aggregate (postume score/2)

Yes. Most of the time, candidates admitted via change of course have to change their course to the one they were offered admission after d list is out. This is called regularization. It might not be compulsory now but it might affect you when preparing for nysc.. Which might cost u 10k by then. Your focus for now should be on the school list. CAPS will be sorted out once the school decides to admit you.

If your affect means you won't be given your original course, Yes, it will.

However, same procedure as I highlighted above will also apply to you if you're admitted.

God is great what a coincidence
don't even know if I should cry or Smile

I can remember vividly this time last year when I went to check my name at the cyber cafe for 2016 admission list but lo and behold! my name was missing even with my 72 weighted score.


But life goes on I moved on prepare for JAMB and did well my aggregate based on point grading system was 82.
But reality was dawn on me when the ban on post UTME was lifted.
I wasn't happy initially, but I've got no choice than to prepare and give it my best. Thank God I did.

The last time I cried was a few days after my UTME exam
when I was going through text book and saw the cheap questions I've missed when I recall all the silly mistakes I made I cried and I was afraid I might score below expectation. what a bad day ,Thank God the results was Awesome.


Thank God I was able to beat the cut off mark for. MBBS all thanks to God.
this same year I was given opportunity/ scholarship to go and study any course of my choice at Brazil.


Thank God UI has offered me Admission I will forfeit Brazil
UI is the best..
