You don't need human connection to make the admission list in UI on merit.

As Babablogger rightly said, just meet the necessary criteria and you are assured of a spot. I'll explain further from there.

1. Make sure you have the appropriate O'Level and UTME combinations for your course. This is a very big mistake that can deny someone admission, even with the best grades. So, ensure you get the updated course requirements. its on UI website... anyone that has access to the link should help paste it for extrovertAishat to go through .

2. Attain a minimum of 200 in Jamb. However, you might decide to target way higher than that, because

a. Admission aggregate is decided by jamb and postume scores. (jamb/eight)+(postume/two).

b. In case you are aspiring for a very competitive course that will have a high cutoff. Infact if you go through the cutoffs for this year, you will notice most courses that used to be 50,52 in past years rose to 59,60,63. So, don't leave any stone unturned.

3. Prepare well for the postume. if you're a science student, pls prepare harder. 100 questions, 90 mins. No calculator.

4. Keep praying without ceasing.

1. I cannot state with total confidence that the admission process has been completed because of the ongoing strike and the yet to be released comprehensive admission list.. But the admission process has gone a very long way. I'm sure when the strike is over, lots will be done within a short period of time regarding admission list and clearance.

2. The strike is still very much in progress.

Just one meeting has been held between JAC and the FG. As usual, it was deadlocked.

Direct entry admission is a bottleneck. 10% of the total class quota is reserved for direct entry applicants. thats a very small number. even first class goons aren't totally assured of spots in very competitive courses like medicine and engineering. UTME remains the best bet, with a higher chance to gain admission.

But if you want to come in to ui through DE make sure atleast you av second class upper, Ui DE candidates writes no exam, your fate will be decided using your Alevel/ Degree/ND/ NCE Grade and your O/level grade. So having more A's in your o/level will be an added advantage

what the bolded means is that the degree offered to them is not classified. most courses in the college of medicine are not classified. there's nothing like first class or second class as we have in classified degrees where you use the CGPA system.

If you're referring to your UI portal, that's how it is for me, and , safely guessing, by extension, the same for everyone else.

Just my jamb, postume and aggregate scores are there.

For now, anything pertaining to admission status is on jamb and caps portal. But since u scaled d cutoff, you're very very much safe

Traditionally 10% of the quota is usually for Direct entry.
UIs quota is 180, so they can admit about 18 students for DE
Dentistry quota is 30. Last year, 30 students were admitted; 27 from UTME, 3 from DE.
