High level politics is going on. Soft landing is going on. Corruption is being us to cover up corruption. That's what is going on. Those of you who thought this is a done deal for the case against Otedollar are sorely mistaken. |
kingoflag: Ingridients of murder? Ok, lets see . . . . em Palm Oil, Pepper, Salt, 2oz water. . . .Giving and offering are 2 different things. Of course Otedola GAVE it. He may have been the one who made an OFFER of bribe in the first place. |
kingoflag: Wrong!Convicted for Murder without a body being found? Where is this one coming from? What are the ingredients of murder? Can you at this point establish that it was not Otedola that offered the bribe? |
Tonitelli: Bros..order his arrest for refusing to honor the summons of the house of rep??or for honoring, but saying he would give his own side of the story in public??which was wat the house of reps promised us in the first place??i don't understand this your arrest o!!!!What is the point of honouring the invitation and now the telling the house how to conduct its affairs? If its not grandstanding, how does a session in camera jeopardize Otedola's case when his counsel is right there with him? I think the media circus is overshadowing whatever gains we stand to make from this debacle. A bad precedence is being set and ee all seem to be applauding it. |
Download ucweb and your problem is solved. I have used ucweb to download up to 360mb once. |
Tonitelli: Bros....no vex..but let's try to be rational here now...not everyone has taken sides here to the best of our knowledge...otedola or Farouk, we know say dem get am for body..all we're saying is there should be transparency in the way this stuff is to be handled..naija don tire for hidden stuff..let everything be out in the open....u have people here supporting otedola's demand for a public hearing!and we Nigerians deserve it.this is a house of reps dat had said this hearing would be public, then they throw out the media when Farouk came in, wit the silly excuse that they didn't want to compromise the other witnesses or some crap or the other....u cannot blame otedola for playing to the public gallery..it's what the reps had the chance to do but since they probably chopped the money together they dare not!pls read otedola's statement again...d guy make sense naa....u did all the so called Farouk hearings in public, why go closed door now ??The thing is that the House has brought shame upon itself otherwise Otedola has not business asking the House to co duct its business in a particular manner. Sentiments aside, he could be held in contempt. Yes, the House has the power to order his arrest. |
noblezone: The night the "honourable members" gathered to move a motion to ask Mr. President to revert to N65.00 but at the same time turned down a motion for a probe in the subsidy scam, some of us knew that the House is not but a fraud.I hope you are buying fuel @N141 otherwise you are a hypocrite. |
edicolove: The 3 key components in a criminal case are hard evidence, witnesses and motive. Of the 3, motive is the hardest to establish and motive is what cements the evidence. But like I said before, Farouk has actually done the whole saga a favour when he became Otedolla's advocate at the floor of the house. That again is cemented by the house hurried session to re-indict Otedolla. It is simply laughable and f00lish.Evidence must be linked with motive. Motive cannot exist just like that. For now, I cant see any evidence or can you? Dont tell the audio is evidence. one million witnesses either will not convict. You need just one credible witness. We wait. |
edicolove: Everyone trying to defend Farouk here because they don't like Otedolla is just being silly. The evidence is overwhelming and Farouk himself have aided the evidence against himself. The logic of who initiated the conversation is irrelevant. In fact, if Otedolla wants to execute a sting, he might have to be the one to initiate it. That's why it is called a sting. What is important in court is that he collected bribe, not who initiated it.Criminal cases are not easy to prove. Any lawyer will tell you that. If you have 99.9 evidence and .9 doubt, Farouk will be set free. The courts don't work on sentiments. Even if Otedola has 100% proof and cannot establish it IN COURT, Farouk walks free. |

N96m bribery scandal probe hits dead end June 28th, 2012 by zebbook Police investigators are in a dilemma over the whereabouts of the N96m bribe received by the Chairman of the House of Representatives ad hoc committee on fuel subsidy, Mr. Farouk Lawan, from the Chairman of Zenon Oil and Gas, Mr. Femi Otedola. Our correspondent gathered in Abuja that Lawan, who appeared at the Force Headquarters on Wednesday, insisted that he gave the money to the Chairman, Committee on Narcotics and Anti-corruption, Adams Jagaba. Investigations showed that the police probe into the matter was compounded by the refusal of the State Security Service to provide the Special Task Force with the original copy of the video recording of what transpired between Lawan and Otedola. The police STF had also not received details of marked money allegedly given to Lawan by Otedola. Saturday PUNCH had exclusively reported on June 23 that the police had written the Director-General of the SSS asking for the materials, but the latter had not released the items. Our correspondents learnt that the STF was not making progress in the investigation because of its inability to know the whereabouts of the money. This came to the fore on Wednesday as Jagaba and members of the committee on fuel subsidy again shunned the police invitation. They were expected to appear before the STF on Wednesday, but only Lawan and the clerk of the ad hoc committee, Boniface Emenalo, turned up. The police had last week invited Jagaba and the committee members. Jagaba was asked to bring the exhibit money. The lawmaker declined, but however wrote the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar, saying he did not collect any money from Lawan. Sources said the STF confused about the next step to take, following the ‘dribbling‘ by Lawan and the refusal of other committee members and Jagaba to honour police invitation. Other committee members that were invited had yet to appear before the police too. A source said, “Investigators are confused and didn’t know what to do because Lawan kept dribbling them about the whereabouts of the money and it seems the STF is intimidated by the caliber of people involved in the matter. “I think the fact that the Inspector- General of Police, is in acting capacity is an issue and that may be why the police are afraid to go tough with the lawmakers. “The fact that the SSS has not been cooperating with us by releasing materials in its possession is not helping the matter. This investigation is heading for the rock.” Meanwhile, Lawan has stated that Otedola offered to bribe the members of ad hoc committee on fuel subsidy with huge money from the Presidency so that the final report on subsidy payment could be watered down. Lawan explained that the Zenon Oil and Gas chairman touted his close friendship with President Goodluck Jonathan and how he assisted him (Jonathan) in various ways when he was the Vice President. According to him, Otedola threatened him to remove the names of his companies AP and Zenon Oil from the list of indicted firms, otherwise he would use his connections in the Presidency to ruin his future political ambition. The diminutive lawmaker, in his statement to the STF investigating the N96m bribery scandal involving him, Boniface Emenalo, and other committee members claimed that Otedola pestered him to exonerate his companies and went as far as threatening to truncate his political ambition. “Otedola told me he could serve as a link to collect money from the Presidency so that the report will be watered down. Having seen him as a friend, I consistently turned down such offers politely but firmly, but when I saw his desperation after the release of the report, I decided to play along and use his case as example of those who tried to compromise us (committee members),” Lawan wrote. Police sources told our correspondent in Abuja on Wednesday that Lawan claimed he visited the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde, on April 27, 2012, where he reported Otedola’s attempts to induce him with money in order to destroy the fuel subsidy report. |
Billyonaire: The internet package modules can virtually be tailored to network, in a lay word, I could say, pay $3000 to MTN and you browse for a whole month, but with my Galaxy Note, 1000 gives me 200MB of data which is exhausted in a day while streaming youtube but same youtube on BB, you still have 1 full month. Need I say more, email arrives at BB servers before hitting your mail server. Lets talk about IMAP and POP protocols, I hardly can configure my domain email to work with android without goint through a lot of manual configurations and the system refreshes itself every 5 minutes to upload new emails but BB is instant even before getting to mail servers, infact there are many features I cant start comparing now, but with BB, my Galaxy Note is just for a show....How do you watch video on Youtube using you BB (does BIS allow you to stream video) mine doesn't. Teach me abeg. |
GEJ don give una new line - "Boko Haram should not stop governance". Carry on. |

Location is Benin. Contact Kelebe7@gmail.com. Urgent please. |
What we are saying is that even if GEJ has credible Intel that the likes of IBB, Buhari, Atiku and co are behind BH, he doesn't come across as someone man enough to take them on. |
GEJ struck me as someone having Socia Media trauma. The likes of Reno Omokri must have told him that BBM, facebook and twitter is where all the lies are manafactured. |
