Hoarding the poor like cattle in a truck is not the way to go. Just a little help can do a lot to lighten the burden of these poor people. What is wrong if fashola give these poor each like 100k to start a petty trade to help themselves. Helping 70 of them like that will only cost 7million and thats nothing.

Trampling on the down throdden should be discouraged by sane people. 1st it was okada riders, today it's the poor on the streets, tomorrow it might be hawkers or petty traders.

The poor are always a part of a city, you can't escape it, trampling on them because they are poor and voiceless does not make us civil.

I know an American white that I was trying to recruit for a certain business he googled leasing land in Nigeria from that he went to politics sections and told me it looks like a tribal war will start anytime! He was so appalled at the amount of tribalism and started talking about Rwanda and Liberia he thought it was the western influence, but now he is seeing a different side I was really embarrassed and quite speechless. This website is getting a lot of media attention if Forbes.com was to come back and check on progress am sure they would change there tunes. This is really making all Nigerians look bad!

ujchief: All these accusations, counter-accusations and name calling is not necessary. If you all calm down, you will realize that many things are not the way you presume them to be.

For a start, Mods don't take threads to frontpage, so accusing Afam of doing so is wrong. The supermods and Admin is in charge of threads going to frontpage; the mods just recommend. So if you feel they are being biased in that regards, then take it up with semid4lyfe and mukina2 (supermods) and seun the admin.

The fact that there's variety in selection of mods is an added advantage. If you feel the action of a mod towards you is unfair, then you can come to the complaint thread and seek the attention of the co-mod that you feel will redress the issue. Its as simple as that.

I hope this call for truce really works out; it was more fun when we directed our anger on our leaders at aso rock and the political parties that has no framework for the development of this country. But turning every discussion to a tribal warfare is so not funny anymore.
