Those citadels of learning dont do so because it is not pragmatic nor possible to access over 1500 student based on Spirituality or Community. Heck, even the chaplain cannot claim to personally know 200 of those students. I am saying this because I know what spirituality means-it certainly isn't about Church attendance or even service. Spirituality is something personal and only God can truly judge who is Spiritual than the other. This is an academic environment and things must be done on verifiable metrics. If you tell us that spirituality is a consideration then please tell us what percentage it Carries and tell us the methodology used in concluding such "facts". If CGPA carries 70% and Spirituality 30% then I would like to see the Spirituality score of the guy with the highest CGPA to be sure he was actually surpassed since we've all turned ourselves to the Holy Spirit who knows the intents and motives of all men. So you get my point? No one can truly ascertain that one is better than the other in terms of Character.

I guess you didn't understand my point. I am also not concerned about the spirituality of the students but since we are talking about a faith based organisation here, there are several ways the school might have used to come up with how it was measured e.g attendance at fellowship services or something like that. It will be a case of double or inconsistent standards if this was not communicated to the students from the beginning.

We have heard stories of students punished for not coming to evening fellowship with their bibles or rusticated for skipping these services...

It doesn't count in the CGPA....

It counts in the award of the best graduating student!

Yes, especially in a faith based university.

There is a big problem here. The lady had the second highest CGPA and yet was giving best graduating students. Now unless the actual highest CGPA earner had been sanctioned by the student affairs during his course of study then this would be a case of fraud and injustice. I know a University is supposed to certify Character and Learning but there is no such reliable metric that can measure Character. Character is only a perception based on subjective judgement. If i was the actual highest CGPA earner i would feel cheated here especially if i did nothing wrong.
TheVictorious lalasticlala what y'all think?

I am not all about spirituality and church activities but the award is not "student with the highest CGPA" but the best among all the graduating students, many universities would naturally give this award to the student with the highest CGPA. While these citadels might not have bothered about character and community service, I suppose a purely faith based school will.

Several other criteria would have been used to grade these students which might have been made known to the students "ab inito".

7. You don’t carve out time to declutter your house

Decluttering your living space is one of the best things you can do to save money. Not only because you can sell many of your old items and actually make money, but also it transforms the space in your mind as well. Once you realize that you don’t need so many possessions to make you happy, it will shift your mindset and make you more aware of unnecessary spending in the future.

Cultivating this mindset is what will save you the most money in the long-term and help you to re-evaluate what’s important to you. So adopt the mindfulness of spending your money to create a better way of saving it.

This point is precious...I remember clearing out my unneeded stuffs a few months back and the funds i got was more than enough to upgrade my wife's poultry.

if you insist sir, i'm afraid you are wrong, mortar is meant for jointing which is just 25mm thick, this can never stop moisture from penetrating, even concrete is still a medium that allows for diffusion which is why we introduce a polythene layer to stop moisture from penetrating.

Is it that without german floor a storey building cannot be ercected ?

It can...but strongly not advisable or recommended...
Remember that apart from the numerous benefits of a German floor to the building, you will require a strong and level ground support for the suspended floor. You don't want to have an undulating "decking" because a part of the ground floor sank due to the weight of the suspended floor.

I found this disturbing! why? Oversite concrete not only good for damp proofing but also for preventing floor punching. That's why oversite concrete thickness defers based on the live load coming on top.

It's not necessary to add oversite concrete weight to the structure, it can be separated.

This is where you mixed them together, Oversite concrete and DPC are different though oversite concrete can be used as a DPC material.

You're partially correct but about the thickness it depends on the load, imaging a floor for heavy duty machine or banking hall. The thickness and preparation must be different.

I didn't mix this up, I am saying concrete or mortar can be used as DPC. And if this is what the OP was trying to do, he can achieve this with a 3 to inch thick slab. I didn't imagine the OP was planning to install heavy duty machinery in a two bedroom bungalow.

please do not miss inform the public if you are not sure of what you saying, Concrete slab and not DPC is a structural member of the foundation, it bears the load to be transmitted to the foundation thus requires rigidity, DPC Damp proof Course is just a thin membrane of polymer laid beneath the courses of the wall to prevent moisture from percolating through the wall leading to dampness, unlike DPM damp proof membrane which is a thin membrane of polymer laid over thr entire area of the foundation before casting the oversite concrete. oversite concrete in some cases are not even sufficient to prevent ground water from percolating.

I am not misinforming the public, I only expressed my opinion which I am sure of. You are however free to disagree with superior argument not just conjectures.

I still insist that mortar is one of the materials used in damp proofing.

In my opinion...the slab only does one job...damp proofing, I pressume that's why it's called the damp proof course.

It adds to the dead load on the house but does nothing directly to improve the strength of the building.

From my little research, the are many types of materials used in the dpc, we have only adopted the concrete slab here as the method used in most cases.

The dpc majorly prevents upward movement of damp or moisture and seals the inside of the house from ants and some nasty rodents. A three or four inch thick of concrete slab should suffice.

I don't know when away wins became the sign that the league is good...

Like the reply just above, there were 3 away wins and 2 draws on match day 20, I guess the OP does not even follow the league he is complaining about.

The teams in the NFPL have very little in between them...most are supported or financed solely by state governments who are even struggling to pay workers salaries.

There are just one or two money bags supporting local clubs and their results are becoming obvious, with time and more local support, our league will compete with other leagues around the world.
