I have gone through carefully and note the following; 1. The documents provides specific information about the events , people , places and all these are verifiable.....I happen to have some of the numbers quoted by Okah and they are spot on correct 2. I was shocked to the bone marrow when the president declared on tv just a few hours after the bombing that the bombs were not planted by mend 3. The activities of Boko haram are to huge for the government not to know about it.... in a place where you have state of emergency ...200 children and moved without being challenged, why are the Nig Army troops being deliberately denied of hardware? 4. Who is possibly gaining from the bombings? a. More money to be embezzled by the government officials b. Sympathy for the current govt by people who do not see through the deception c. Limited possibility of elections taking place in the areas ravaged by boko haram and these areas are the support base of opposition d. Why the increasing wave of bombings as we approach election period......would you vote under an atmosphere of insecurity? e. The northerners are the greatest losers in the BH scourge they are being killed , rendered homeless and their economy is being destroyed My opinion is that the current govt of the day knows more than they are disclosing. If truly the blood of the dead can cry for justice, it should fight for justice to reveal whoever is behind all the bombings |
RIP and I pray for strength and fortitude for the Fiance and family to bear the loss A lesson to all and sundry as I notice a trend of people daring vehicles, bikes and bicycles on the road..life has no duplicate If you horn most will ignore or even turn around as if to say what is your problem! I don't have the story behind this one if the car veered off to hit her or on the road....but RIP I feel the pain of her loved ones and friends. |

Hi all, I usually advice that facts should drive conversations. I am not an expert in construction but the 35k kms road network sounded too low for a country like ours. I checked google and one site says 200k kms and another says 100k The truth is as many other things in Nigeria, we probably do not have the accurate information. In my opinion 35k kms is too low to be the total paved road network while the 100k kms tarred by GMB may be exaggerated...what do you know really either may be right! Google is your friend! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Highways[edit] Nigeria has the largest road network in West Africa and the second largest south of the Sahara, with roughly 108,000 km of surfaced roads in 1990. However they are poorly maintained and are often cited as a cause for the country’s high rate of traffic fatalities. In 2004 Nigeria’s Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) began to patch the 32,000-kilometre federal roads network, and in 2005 FERMA initiated a more substantial rehabilitation. The rainy season and poor equipment pose challenges to road maintenance.[1] Figures from CIA World Factbook (1999): Total: 194,394 km paved: 60,068 km (including 1,194 km of expressways) unpaved: 134,326 km (1998 est.) note: Some paved roads have lost their asphalt surface and are in very poor condition or have reverted to being gravel roads. Some of the road system is barely usable, especially in high rainfall areas of the south. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Roads - total network (km) in Nigeria Total road network includes motorways, highways, and main or national roads, secondary or regional roads, and all other roads in a country. A motorway is a road designed and built for motor traffic that separates the traffic flowing in opposite directions. This page has the latest values, historical data, forecasts, charts, statistics, an economic calendar and news for Roads - total network (km) in Nigeria. This is so wrong and I hope the DPO and all the officers involved will get punished severely for this ..........very stiff punishment. how do you beat up a woman like that and beat up the guy in front of each other. The Dada guy is an animal and I know the police authorities will come out denying. However the reality of Nigeria Police foot soldiers of today is ; 1. They are under paid and under motivated 2. Work under the harshest conditions 3. Are used and abused by their superior officers 4. Lack knowledge , instruction, guidance, morals and discipline 5. Morbidly frustrated, depressed and depend on drugs , cults and alcohol to get through their lives 6. .......carry assault weapons I would not talk back or argue with such a person. The lesson for me is to respect yourself and don't get on the wrong side of those men at checking points. Its cheaper , more convenient and better to PLAY nice and report afterwards. You don't argue with a man behind a gun at 10 pm! There are no rights in the grave. Men should learn to keep their wives under control to avoid complexities in their lives. During my last trip to UK a police officer stopped my cabbie for speeding and he shone the torch into our eyes........its not out of place to do so. They check the eyes for evidence of guilt and fear as part of their work. Finally Policemen are not from outer space, they are our families and blood....... they reflect our values and ways as a people we cannot play ostrich by demanding them to act like American police. Just my opinion not a point for arguement |
frustratedman:Hey mate your generalization is too sweeping! People have individual challenges that require them to have a maid. In those days why I was growing up families offered help and support , nowadays everybody is hustling to cater for himself. Look at this situation...A man works with a company that treats him like a slave and he does the hours..............his wife works in a bank and gives significant support and does the hours,........both have to keep working to give a better life to the children. Couple's parents are ill of passed on....what do you expect them to do? Its easy to blame but the one who wears the shoes knows where it hurts. All our thoughts and prayers should be channeled to recovering the children not blame game it can happen to anyone! |

Prikie, Add I wish to the front of the earn and why do you keep talking about money as a measure of fulfillment...Ok I understand you are managing advance down syndrome. I really think you should go for counselling because the hope of making money will not address your life issues. Material Poverty is bad but if it persists it degenerates to poverty of the mind which is most dangerous. No worry Indomie will jack up the price of packaging b carton and you will make more money next year. Dog, rape, frustrate , mad men, bus driver and poverty are central in your discourse because unfortunately this is all you have seen in your cotton picking life (google again) Now , you make about three short sentences and it full of errors , you see the limit of your grey matter? your coconut water has gone flat again. It is spelt FRUSTRATED not frautrated prickie. Don't post within the quote so that we can differentiate between my comment and your ranting. Your very low self confidence and obvious metal inadequacy has made you feel i'm an intellectual threat!...yes knowledge is power! Finally it is not SCALAWAG (its not a yoruba word) but SCALLYWAG meaning a badly behaved child........yes I am badly behaved to you because you are in a forum where your unintelligence is in the red zone.... beyond acceptable Akudayya,....oya return to face book the servers are now up! |
mrborntodoit:Obviously you have read the piece on increasing your IQ! at least you are no longer monotonous (check google)....you see you can do it if you try.....you cant be mentally handicapped for life im adding value to your life. I said it that you are a factory worker packaging indomie.... ...Thank God for free MB in your life .......Your own generations will be President i.e President of bedbugs ......Idile Oba idun .....Arole Oba idun!!!!Omo ton fi pa ji baba e.....ashi bi omo! |
kaec:Has it been fixed , do you want to share the issue for us to learn more |
SirShymex:Sir, Normally that is what one will like to do but now he is ok but the children will have to deal with this at such a tender age............If Femi had tamed his dick probably he would have still been with his first wife and faithful wife. Sir, a man should be able to take anything for his children.......the true test of a father is when he needs to die for his kids to live! |
naijababe:He is a 50year old with the brain of a child....you dont make such things public...........where has the love for those children gone to....You can fight the mum secretly but never allow this to the third ear for the sake of the CHILDREN!!! Another reason to confirm IGBO is not good for anyone. |
mrborntodoit:Prickie, Fine!...... but from your User ID you sound like a commercial sex worker ....and you sound really monotonous. Add flavour so that you can get more customers........ I can give you some useful tips to improve your IQ; See below; http://www.wikihow.com/Increase-Your-IQ ![]() Onifunkan ........omugo....sun mondere... even Gej get sense pass you Again go back to face book ! |
mrborntodoit:What !!!! please say it in yoruba this cannot be English....please make sense! Being coherent comes with IQ and education please dont force it....stay with your face book na! ![]() |
Attorney1Lawz:I have just browsed through the Nigerian Evidence Act 2001, It has about 230!! sections and it seems to be focus strictly on court administration ........i am not a lawyer oooo but sir with due respect can you draw my attention to the relevant section that has to do with the Biometric data being discussed. im trying to see the angle you are coming from. S5 of the NIMC Act no 23 of 2007 defines the role of the National Identity Management Commissions and please permit me to copy and paste as follows "5. Functions of the Commission The Commission shall- (a) create, manage, maintain and operate the National Identity Database estab- lished under section 14 of this Act including the harmonisation and integration of existing identification databases in Government agencies and integrating them into the National Identity Database; (b) carry out the registration of citizens of Nigeria into the National Identity Database; (c) carry out the registration of non-citizens of Nigeria who are lawfully resident in Nigeria; (d) issue a General Multi-purpose Identity Card to any person registered pursuant to paragraphs (b) and (c) of this section; (e) collate information obtained by the Commission in pursuance of its functions under this Act and reproducing such information as may be required, from time to time; (f) assign a unique National Identification Number to any person registered pursuant to paragraphs (b) and (c) of this section and the National Identification Number shall be incorporated into or made compatible with other existing identity related databases or registers in respect of which information or data relating to the registered person has been registered, documented or stored; (g) ensure the preservation, protection, sanctity and security (including cyber- security) of any information or data collected, obtained, maintained or stored in respect of the National Identity Database; (h) establish and maintain secured communication links with any existing relevant identity related database or agency; (i) maintain secured communication links with end-users in any public or private organisation, agency or body including card acceptance devices, Government service centres; (j ) collaborate with relevant bodies and agencies in the setting of standards and technical specifications for telecommunications links between organisations and for the devices utilised for such communications established or maintained pursuant to paragraphs (j) and (k) of this section; (k) respond to verification enquiries regarding the identification of individuals; (l) perform such other duties which, in the opinion of the Commission, are necessary or expedient for the discharge of its functions under this Act; (m) enter into any form of agreement with any private or public sector based agency or organisation for the development or establishment of the Identity Management Solution or for the realisation of any of its functions; (n) research and monitor developments in the identity management sector; (o) carry out the registration of births and deaths in Nigeria; and (p) collaborate with relevant bodies and agencies in the setting of standards and technical specifications for ICT links between organisations and for the devices utilised for such communications established or maintained pursuant to paragraphs (i) and (j) of this section." I am trying to relate this to the legality of taking Biometric data by APC....please educate and enlighten me PS: A Fed high court has asked the SSS to open the Data centre and release the detainees....but the items seized were not mentioned |
django1:Thank you sir, You took the words out of my mouth...I saw the Attorney1lawz post yesterday but i held back in order not to derail the post but his post of today seems to point to the fact that taking Biometrics is illegal. I am also not aware of it is so we need to be enlightened. Attorney1law over to you. Please share the relevant portion of the constitution with us. Maybe the SSS acted on that Banks , service providers (GSM coys), States, embassies , MDAs are all taking the biometrics In my opinion that is the age of technology to provide next level security. Computers are now using finger prints to access data etc etc It will be counter productive to be illegal How can you eradicate mutiple registrations easily without biometrics? |
mrborntodoit:Hahahahaha it makes you happy to think so.......even the TAN and PDP people don't know you........if you made cash you will not come here to announce. No worries Poverty will leave you one day just vote for the right candidates.....ok? Your dreams of making cash will come through some day By the way are the facebook servers down again? If you must come to nairaland stay in the romance section or health ! ![]() Apoda |
mrborntodoit:Prikie, I did not say you must vote for Buhari....but I only advised that he can help you be something in life judging from your present predicament. Buhari is Socialist and he can take care of the mentally challenged.....You will be in a better place where you can drool and be happy under govt care. There is a difference between force and advice! Consult that primary school they will help you. There you go again ranting on about religion and politics in a civilised society when you know nothing about being civilised or stand for any values. Raiding oposition party's office is civilised abi? without investigation and intelligence? Again you display your dysfunctional and warped mentality that visa is the ticked to exposure .....no its hidden in books! In this place you want to HELP me get visa to they carry AK47 on the streets like us.....anyway like your dad....AMERICA will know! ![]() What is the problem are the facebook servers down? |
OLADD:To answer your question ...many schools!...... But did you read the APC statement where in they mentioned that no one showed them a court warrant and indeed surfaced after the search. I do not believe the SSS at all as they are now purely political . Recall they accused a politician of offering them money in the last Osun elections....offering bribe as I know is an offence. Why did they not arrest him if it was true. The same SSS set up a politician who tried to collect bribe money from Otedola. They slaughtered innocent squatters in Abuja the other day and lied that they were Boko haram, they claimed they were shot at! The SSS has expanded its work scope to include all other govt agencies and this is making them look very bad bottom line i don't believe them and there is a moral and political side to it. The court warrant may have come after the fact or they should publish it. What you say about APC being discreet about their office is a matter of choice. The data collation centre is not meant to be a public place, one of the requirements of data collation is being in a secure environment.....not open to unauthorised access. It is not Illegal for APC to be discreet about its data centre. If there is a provision of the electoral law or constitution against it let me know I will read it up and revert. Would you arrest a man because he is wearing dark glasses on the streets and looks suspicious ?? or a man who moves at 3am should be automatically regarded as a thief ?The SSS is one of the last powerful and professional institutions we have left and it used to be the pride of our nation but they have been taken out by our politicians same with the army. If the police carried out this raid I would say ok because police has lost any capability of intelligence gathering and professionalism. They are the official tout and thug arm of PDP pas displayed at the national assembly last week SSS should work with intelligence and I wait and watch as they have the burden of proof to show the nation that the Voters cards were being cloned. |
mrborntodoit:LOL....you mean you even attempted to discuss the topic?...hahahahahahaaaa you should be into comedy. If you are older than I pray the Nigerian Army to bring you in and post you to Borno to take you out of your misery. If you are older than I am and you are still thinking and posting this level of nonintellectual remarks...then you are better in LASUTH mortuary as a specimen! Yes I agree you are rich in folly and emptiness. Vote for Buhari, he will take care of the mentally challenged so you can have late hope rather than you ravaging the internet and streets seeing rape and mad men all over ![]() please go log on to face book |
OLADD:Sir, I followed many of the electoral cases in the last election and I want you to go and consult a lawyer.....membership register in the law has nothing to do with electoral results and actual voting. The State (in this case the FGN as the lawful tier of government) has the responsibility to ensure voters are registered and registered once. They are required to deploy the needed technology or process to make this happen and ensure one man gets to vote once. In 1993 ,when we did not have the current day technological capabilities, the government adopted option A4 to curb multiple registration and voting took place simultaneously nationwide and it was by physical counting of people. Based on the foregoing if a party boasts of 300m members out of which 100m are doubles ....the INEC should ensure that the biodata captured screens out the 100m from going near the polling booths. Even if a party has 300m registered members there is a very slim possibility that all 300m will go and vote on election day. My point is that membership of parties only stops at the threshold of bragging and campaigns. Hence membership list of a party has nothing to do with the outcome of votes / elections. Afterall ACN delivered Jonathan's presidency in the SW state except osun in 2011. Unfortunately Ribadu was used at that time. I think party registration is strictly an internal affair and all the SSS has said is consistent with party membership registration. I disagree with your so called Ghost voters because I am one of them and i know about 100 other people in my pressure group who voted at the last elections and we suddenly could not find our names on the register and our cards consequently. Strangely we were all Buhari supporters. I am suspecting that some of us may have been deliberately disenfranchised but it is still a suspicion. However I am really worried that SSS has developed interest in APC membership list. We will see the drama unfold and see where it will take us. I used to respect the SSS as an agency that stood out but unfortunately politicians have killed them. There is something called intelligence gathering and infiltration.......why have they put these in the back burner and now use brute force?....in the past SSS was faceless but effective even as NSO....now they have seen the benefit in politics and joined the band wagon. This democracy as we have it offers no hope but a bleak future. |
mrborntodoit:Is this your attempt at one sentence of Intellectualism?..........Now I know there is no hope for this country......where a young supposedly literate mind cannot make coherent and intellectual submissions......I can't blame the guys who made internet cheap such that shallow minds can rant here. But what happened to the debate societies and all those value adding activities......taken over by DSTV and music Read your post and point to any specific and reasonable point you have made? Can registering members of a political party be illegal and in your words unstable which is a direct reference to your roots....gosh making sense is sooo difficult for you ...please consult a primary school near you today for help and counselling. Half knowledge now kills I've not seen any reasonable substance in your post what i see is confirmation that your IQ is probably just high enough to maintain body functions ..dazall Go back to facebook where you can deliver! |
mrborntodoit:Prikie, I have said to you before to stop parading your family history here! Only you......... busstop, Rape , mad men, weed, mad pikin.....clearly poverty and illness has ravaged what is left of your mind. We are discussing the legality of the DSS raid and I dare you to make one intellectual sentence....just one sir. If you can, I will go and join PDP! |
mrborntodoit:Prikie, you just confirmed you are an e retardees and confirms the kindergarten supporter I mentioned. Obviously you are product of a dysfunctional home and you have no family values...I wish you grew up with proper orientation and basic level of intelligence , guess I would have been able to drive my point home. There is a difference in "what is the problem of sss and FGN with multiple registration in APC when there are priority issues" and " the guy did no wrong in multiple registration"......of course I know the saline water that powers your coconut has gone flat hence u cannot understand the difference....nemo dat quod non habet..... , there must be a primary school in your area....talk to one of the pupils they will clarify and then you can get a better understanding ...ok? Ordinarily if the government were alive to its responsibilities it should have made a law to support children with psychological disorders and down syndrome. People like you should be in a special home for down syndrome and have a right to be well taken care of and protected from a intellectual discourse on Nairaland. You should not be allowed to run loose like this otherwise you will end up dancing naked for kids in your area one day...... Seun I think it is unfair to allow the mentally handicapped, junkies, low lifers and NFAs to debate and discuss in the main politics section they should have a special section created for them so that they can rant and exhibit their prognosis on the key board as we have seen in this guys post. They have a right to express their illness when the effects overwhelm them. Finally mr Borntodo it I feel the pain your family has gone through but please keep it to yourself and don't share your family dysfunction on Nairaland. Send me a PM I will help you get an internet modem and pay the subscription so that u don't have to make your family suffer again. Your post reeks of frustration poverty and lack morally , financially and intellectually...i seriously feel your pain, I have a foundation for victims like you and I can help A ko igba ......nkan osu to domo! |
