Adedibu/Alakalakala thugs also went to because (the State TV station) to assault the members of staff and vandalise the property only to return a few hours later to coerce the engineers to effect repairs so Alakalakala's inauguration could be aired live. . . . Only in Nigeria. undecided cry

90% of the time they do. What's the point learning from personal experience when I can just hearken to sound counsel and be safe especially considering the fact that some mistakes have life-long consequences and are irrevocable. 90% of the pain and misery many of us go through are outrightly unnecessary and avoidable. . but hey! what do old school Papa/Mama know?. . .
FamilyRe: Is The Love Of A Mother For Her Child Greater Than That Of A Wife 4 Her Husband by Bolarge(m): 2:04pm On Jun 26, 2007
It's a good thing this came up and it has really thrown light on gross misconceptions we have pertaining to the two kinds of love. We need to understand and define the two relationships:

The woman is just a temporary caretaker of the child who himself/herself has a different life purpose and destiny to pursue which more often than not is exclusive of the mother once he/she has attained the age of reason and responsibility and the mother's tenure as caregiver is over.

The woman and her husband however ARE ONE.
The deluge of people that are foolishly mishandling this sacred union should not make us deviate or lose sight of the teleological design of MARRIAGE. The two become ONE.
We need to blow the dust off God's original blueprint for marriage and the home.

PoliticsRe: Calabar: Missplaced Project by Bolarge(m): 12:25pm On Jun 26, 2007
GNature:
For the most part, government should not be involved in businesses, it should just leave that to the private sector (of course, it should provide an environment in which the businesses can thrive). While the GSM story has been met with relative success in this regard, this is not necessarily applicable to all lines of businesses.

I believe there are times when govt funds helps kick start an industry. Many corporations in the west were started by the govt and later privatized. This is what I hope will take place in the power sector in Nigeria, where private investors have been reluctant in partaking in the building of generation and transmission facilities. The govt can build the facilities (as it is now) and then privatize them later.
Excellent post I must say. cool

The guy belongs in jail 'c os he's definitely determined to rot there. One would have thought with the antecedence of his immediate predecessor (Tafa Balogun) this guy wld shape up and put things right in the force. .but what do we see?. .  By the time we've jailed like 5 or 6 of them and I mean meaningful jail terms of like 15-30yrs (not the paltry 6mths Tafa was given), maybe sanity, integrity and accoutability will return to the Nigerian Police.

It's all about what kind of guy your best friend is- which also goes to say tons 'bout the kind of person you are yourself.
It would be a dream come true if Val (my best friend) decides to date my sister. Too bad I ain't got one. tongue

Check this out: Do you know there've been instances where a guy loved his (good guy/responsible) friend so much that he candidly advised him that he (the friend) deserved someone better than his sister. shocked
