Oh my! I've been had. ![]() I however still believe taxation can be made to follow the forementioned course,my reason being that most of the wealth we're talking about here were not made honestly anyway. Those with some degree of honesty still had some "connection" factor that puts Mr A well ahead of Mr B in the scheme of things. On a level terrain,u'd be surprised that Seun's Mallam Onisuya who presently can't feed his kids well might do much better than Aliko Dangote. |
Sit at home and watch the live broadcast of proceedings on NTA. Provided PHCN chooses not to withhold power. ![]() |
Dearie it's all summed up in the ghetto aphorism "U don't f**k with tha nigga on tha trigga". They got the guns.We don't wanna die, that sums it up. I've asked myself this question over a million times: Can I take a bullet? will I take a bullet?. . .for Nigeria? for posterity? will it count in the end? Yet whether we know it or not we all die, daily. . . The death is definitely not averted;only protracted. |
smile4kenn:Did u say this at the point of orgasm? |
Seun:Pls let's make a very clear distinction between dullness and educational disadvantage ocassioned by poverty and the poor educational infrastructure and services that go with it. That I attended Igbo Elerin High School don't know if such exists doesn't exactly make me dull and does not necessarily have to negatively impact on my overall academic performance even though I have an idea what Seun is gunning at here. Your idea/theory is definitely not a feasible one. It's a lot more logical to address the educational sector and reduce the monumental gap/chasm between the elitist/private and public school settings such that poverty has little bearing on the quality of education available to the average Nigerian child. Redistribution of marks is sure not the way out of the morass. And who determines who gets what extra marks anyway? I'm in support of the theory in the context of taxation however as long as we can come up with the political will to implement it. |

6 Days to Go, Obasanjo Vacates Official Residence • Presides over last EXCO today From Josephine Lohor in Abuja, 05.23.2007 With six days left before handing over power on May 29, President Olusegun Obasanjo has moved out of his official residence in Aso Rock to another house within the Villa to allow for renovation of the official residence for his successor, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. According to presidency sources, the out-going president vacated the residence Sunday night soon after he held series of meetings with some of his friends and associates for a house that is called “Glass House”, a small house adjacent to the main residence. Prior to his movement to the “Glass House”, it was also learnt that Obasanjo’s personal effects and belongings have long been moved out of Aso Rock to his Ota farm where he intends to move immediately to after the change of leadership next week Tuesday. culled from This Day Newspaper of today. Does this put an end to the poster's alarmist scepticism? |

The comparison to me is an outright deviation from what really matters which is that for the very first time the youths of Nigeria have people they can actually look up to;heroes(some perhaps in the making). My list include: Donald Duke Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Nasir el-Rufai Nuhu Ribadu Oby Ezekwesili Dora Akunyili Charles Soludo This list is not in any order of preference. |
"Untouchable" ![]() It's not what u know it's what u can prove. ![]() |
Can we for once just quit this "half empty glass" mentality and at least learn to appreciate some things? Like it or not criticism is perhaps the cheapest gift in the world. This is the same crew that asks the eternal question "what are they doing with our money?" Y'all can at least start ur list with this one. Left to these same peeps telecomms wldn't have been necessary when it was introduced (afterall they still hadn't put food on our tables). I stand to know whether or not we have been the better for it. |
It is not the gibberish BBC,CNN and all other imperialist mouthpieces sprout that should bother us but the undeniable ominous conflagration insidiously consuming our makeshift nation. |
Get real dude. OBJ ain't no fool. He's handing over. The polity's too charged right now for him to introduce any incendiary shenanigans. |
Question: Ms Nigeria, how do you describe a male organ in your country? Ms Nigeria: Well, I can say that male organs in Nigeria are like explorers Question: How can you say so? Ms Nigeria: Because it is ever seeking new terrain (Applause! Applause!) |
