Solmax: Here they are claiming it all started last year... Forgetting to say that the slots where shared to the Connected and High Bidders...
Please name the connected and high bidders that were allotted slots so we can collectively shame them.
Name them with evidence and I can personally assure you that before Friday the whole Nigeria including President Buhari would be aware of it so that justice will be done.
If you can't take up this challenge please refrain from making false allegations.
kingandamy4life: How can they be recruiting since last year till date. they are newly recruiting again and hiding under the advert of last year. i can authoritatively tell you that those they recruited since last year are even receiving 13th month salary this December. The truth is Nigeria is corrupt under this useless country and it is normal for Buhari to allow it because he has an agenda. It is only God that can help the poor and God is fighting for us
SalamRushdie: Why exactly are they holding interviews for a Federal govt parastatal that has to do with sea Ports in a private hotel (Tahir Guest Palace) based in Kano state as state with no port or NPA station and why were the secret candidates all of Northern extraction ...The nepotism in the Buhari govt jas become too glaring to ignore
Did you even read where the statement said: "Interviews took place across the six geo-political locations"?
All you could see was Tahir Guest House, Kano. Do you have comprehension problem or just displaying your usual bigotry?
Blind mind, they say, don't see, can't see and won't see.
AreaFada2: Election lie in 2015. He was kicked out before he could. He applied for membership. Buhari applied for membership. I made it clear that membership approved when IBB was in power. Because I knew you would make that claim.
GEJ did what was incumbent on a country that signed up to something. Why be a member and only send ministers? You're either in or out.
I know only a few years from now, many like you will say GEJ made us a member of OIC.
Again, you've got your history twisted again. Buhari refused registering. IBB registered. GEJ attended. Even IBB that registered us didn't attend the meetings. Sanu Abacha didn't. Abdulsalam Abubakar didn't. OBJ didn't. Yaradua didn't. But GEJ did.
And again, you didn't answer my questions. Anyway, Goodluck. And bye. Mention me when you're ready to answer those simple questions.
AreaFada2: Maybe you were not born then but Buhari is punishing Dasuki because it was the same Dasuki who arrested Buhari when his ass was kicked out after 20 months in which he built nothing on ground. Despite his penchant for imprisoning Southerners (including Ekweme & Pa Ajasin that the court ordered released due to no case against them), he did not build even a single prison cell in 20 months.
All he did was take us to join (applied for) Islamic Organisation. That finally came through in IBB regime.
Buhari has a long history of Vendetta. Buhari was the first Nigerian kidnapper. Long before Evans.
He ordered Isrealis to kidnap Umaru Dikko in the streets of London. Now the reason is not corruption. The reason was that Dikko nearly cost him his dream of being Head of State. Dikko had warned Shagari about Buhari, from his military insider contacts. But instead of retiring Buhari, he sent him to faraway Jos as GOC. Believing that being faraway from the critical Ibadan & Lagos commands was enough to thwart his coup.
Buhari had a history with the only other core-Northern civilian governor (guess his name without google search) that he arrested/imprisoned then. I have written exclusively on it over the years here on NL. Many kiddies like you think life began with google. It did not. Many like me witnessed life long before it. With family member doing proper investigative journalism. Of course they endured the wrath of the brutal Buhari back then. But his boys kicked his ass out soon enough.
Buhari is a vengeful Fulani man. Every Fulani will admit that they never forget things done to them.
As for tribalism, it is only a pregnant woman that has ever had sex. Others are virgins.
You spew tribalism, your approach to life and perspectives are steeped in tribalism, yet you accuse someone pointing it out to you as a tribalist? GEJ is low hanging because he has no influence over Lagos-Ibadan press, has a small ethnic base and therefore an easy prey for those who believe they own Nigeria.
Pretend you do not know that everything in Nigeria is along the lines of ethno-religious consideration, school admission, political zoning, govt employment, number of NASS members, FEC members, etc. Keep doing the ostrich.
Lol. You're just driving about the bush.
You didn't even answer my question. Are you suggesting that because GEJbis Ijaw and minority he shouldn't be probed by PMB who is a Fulani and majority? Is it PMB fault that his predecessor is a minority? Simple questions are you jumped into history.
The funny part is that you're even getting your history wrong. Lol. FYI, Buhari was the first Head of State to refuse to register Nigeria with IOC. IBB eventually registered Nigeria. And GEJ was the first President to attend their meetings.
And you're still viewing issues with your tainted glass. Wane yourself off of your tribalism perhaps you can be a patriot, perhaps.
It is because of people like the youths here accusing Buhari of stealing N2bn that JAMB is existing. How could y'all be so lazy to read through the article and so bird-brained to comprehend the story?
DoTheNeedful: The trade balance should have been presented in dollars. I believe the weakening of the naira against the dollar might be a factor in the high figure.
And as an aspiring exporting country is that a bad thing?
AreaFada2: Low hanging as in the one that is not from SW or Hausa-Fulani? If you believe alleged corruption by minority people is what you need to fight to cleanse 9ja of the monumental corruption since 1960, then you are not serious. Just tribalistic. Every govt should be probed. All including GEJ's. But I only wonder if someone who ran the corrupt PTDF under Abacha even has the moral high ground to probe anyone. Or someone who refused to attend Oputa Panel can talk of any democratic credentials or integrity.
But your type only work on primitive tribal instincts devoid of any sense of justice or fairness. Funny that in the third year of APC regime they are still struggling to prove the corruption allegations against the previous govt. Is it that they are recovering money and quietly pocketing it.....another group's turn or their wild allegations were largely baseless and are too ashamed to admit it?
Because the govt has the resources and institutions to do its job that it claimed it would. Oh! I forgot, most APC members today were the people who ran PDP as ministers, governors, commissioners and other PDP officials. Let them be fooling you.
From your submission it's obvious you're a tribalist who sees everything through the tainted glass of tribe and religion.
Is it PMB fault that his predecessor is an Ijaw man? Or are suggesting because GEJ is from Ijaw he shouldn't be probed. Why didn't GEJ, a minority probe OBJ, a majority? By the way the guy that's been in jail since PMB started his war against corruption is your so-called Hausa/Fulani, Sambo Dasuki. Is he a minority? What would you have said your so-called minority was the guy that's been jailed for over 2 years now? Guy, it's obvious you've ran out ideas.
Like I said picking low-hanging fruits is what's happening. You could apply such tactic to your own work and personal life. It will help you a great deal.
soulpeppersoup: Only kids and lazy students beg others to do their assignment. Go get the figures yourself that is the essence of the links.
You read without comprehension. Those who save to invest have not start up capital that is what the books you mentioned was talking about - raising capital to start investing. Nigeria has more capital than they can use. PMB 2016 budget was 6 plus trillions. That is no small amount of capital.
First, let me apologize for forcing you to embarrass yourself here, it wasn't intentional. Pele.
Now, are you suggesting DFID are kid and lazy students when they put a figure on the corruption perpetuated under GEJ? They said $32bn. They put a figure to it. What's yours? Put a figure to it and stop evading doing simple arithmetic. Anyway, I ain't doing that for you. If you can't put a figure to it then stop claiming there corruption.
Then, it is obvious you haven't read those books. Try and read them.
If you think Nigeria has enough capital than we can use, I'm sure you don't even know how government works. You don't know how economy works either. Let me help you a little. Even US as the biggest economy in the world doesn't even have enough capital or whyndo you think US National debt is about $20tr?
Also, if you think N6tr budget is huge, please go check UK budget for education alone. Then check US budget for defence also.
Finally, if you don't save enough you MUST borrow to invest and a debt overhang is not so great, even for countries.
soulpeppersoup: He described the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Ibe Kachikwu’s allegation of award of $25 billion contracts without following due process against the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC); Dr. Maikanti Baru, as messy and an embarrassment to the country.
Speaking further, Governor Fayose said; “While Nigerians are still asking questions as to what has happened to the report of the committee that investigated the $43 million discovered in an apartment at Osbourne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos, allegation of $25 billion was made by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, and as usual, the allegation like others before it, is being treated as family affairs.
This is not the first time President Buhari's make-believe anti-corruption posture will go through credibility test. In the early life of this administration, President Muhammad Buhari received concrete evidence that his Chief of Staff (CoS), Abba Kyari, took N500m from operators of MTN to help the telecommunications giant mitigate the fine imposed on it by the federal government. Sadly, while the MTN directors who were in the game of shortchanging Nigerians were sacked when the story broke out, Mr. Abba Kyari still carries on as President Buhari's Chief (Cabal) of Staff. The man was not even invited for interrogation, let alone being arrested and prosecuted. http://saharareporters.com/2017/10/06/presidential-corruption-buhari-more-same-erasmus-ikhide-3
Also, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Abdulrahman Dambazau, bought homes for millions of dollars in Boston in the United States; Several other aides and officials within the government have been exposed for involvement in illegal employments and forgery of age and certificates. As in the case of Mr. Kyari, they have so far been shielded by President Buhari. Speaking earlier to journalists in Daura, his hometown, the president said his “anti-corruption war” was being implemented on the basis of justice and fairness.
The hypocrisy surrounding President Buhari's anti-corruption gambit becomes obvious when the former Secretary to the Federal Government, SGF, Babachir Lawal was exposed for awarding grass cutting contract to a company for which he's a director. Babachir was indicted for awarding a contract to his own company to clear "invasive plant species" in a small IDP camp for N200 million, more than a quarter of the money allocated to feed displaced persons!
SaharaReporters has obtained a letter written on behalf of the Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed to the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) requesting a loan of N13,120,470.
The letter, authored by the Director of Public Relations and Protocol, NPD Dama, begins by stating “I am directed to inform you [NBC] that the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed is proceeding on official assignment to China on Sunday, 15th May 2016.
We still never enter first half and all these are leaking out. If opposition succeed in taking over from APC we will all be shocked of the corruption that was done within this short period of time.
No one grows rich saving. You spend in investment to grow. This ignorance is what has destroyed our economy as it's today. No economic sense.
First, I asked you to put a number to it, I didn't asked you to go extracting pages of newspaper. So please, put a figure, a number to it. Be precise.
Second, you have little knowledge of economics obviously. If you say nobody grows rich by saving then you need to go and read more about China and how they become the largest economy by PPP. Remember to read how China is US biggest Creditor and how they got money to invest in US debt instruments.
Also, I will advice you to go and read these books so you can understand importance of savings: 1. The Millionaire Next Door 2. The Richest Man in Babylon
Then finally, go read more about GDP. Spend more time on National Savings. Try to understand that without Savings there won't be Investment.
Then come back and let's discuss this statement of yours: "No one grows rich saving. You spend in investment to grow. This ignorance is what has destroyed our economy as it's today. No economic sense".
AreaFada2: It is only idiots who would claim that any Nigerian regime since 1960 has never been corrupt. In fact no govt in the world can claim not to have corrupt elements in it.
Have you heard of Okotieh-Eboh and corruption in the first republic? Corruption was there. I still remember Buhari using corruption to justify his coup that killed our position as a beacon of African democracy in 1983.
If there was corruption during GEJ govt is because corruption is now in Nigeria's DNA. You see in universities, all places of work, contract awards, schools, everywhere. This current govt where the president goes abroad for months and leave the country to the cabals is even more economically & morally corrupt. Especially a president that came to power shouting integrity but even his wife and kid complain of no paracetamol in state house clinic, despite the huge budget.
Only Zombies claim that their politicians are saints ruling in a heaven-like kingdom. And only others are corrupt.
Buhari even claimed that Abacha was a saint. Yet Abacha loot are still being returned till today. Buhari had to say that to cover his loot and reckless spending of billions running PTDF under Abacha.
Now what we're saying is let any talk of corruption be comprehensive including all regimes, the "estimated" loot amounts and how much recovered. With a breakdown of how they arrived at the estimates. Any organisation can claim anything whether government owned or independent. Are independent bodies not run by people? People of any persuasion can be corrupt and be used to do anybody's bidding. We need full details to judge if they are serious or kekerebo people. Simple.
Lol see epistle abeg. Anyway, after taking time to read through your story I discovered you haven't heard of the phrase: "low-hanging fruit".
Just to be clear you know what I'm talking about, plucking the low-hanging fruits is "a course of action that can be undertaken quickly and easily as part of a wider range of changes or solutions to a problem."
To start an investigation you start from the closest clues you have. Before PMB there was GEJ, before GEJ there was OBJ, before OBJ there AA, before AA there was SA, before SA there was IBB. So, are you saying PMB should start investigation of corruption by jumping 5 administration and start from IBB? Does that even make any sense to you?
If successive governments have done the right things, SA would have investigated IBB, AA will do SA, OBJ will do AA, GEJ will do OBJ and PMB will do GEJ. Of all these leaders only PMB is doing what is expected of him: probe your immediate predecessor.
Again, picking low-hanging fruits.
Also, investigation shouldn't be for its sake alone, investigation must be done to be effective and efficient. Do you know how long and the resources it will take to investigate from 1985? Do you think PMB would discover any corruption that way before the end of his 8-year tenure?
Again, picking low-hanging fruits.
So forget that your history lecture of starting from Okotie-Eboh, it's superfluous and supererogatory.
Like said I'm glad you didn't deny the fact that GEJ government was corrupt. That's a start. Yet, claiming 'you brother too is a theif' to defend your own brother's kleptomaniac behaviour is not only weak, immoral but also laughable.
AreaFada2: Lol. The DFID has never heard of OBJ regime with all the billions of dollars budgeted for roads that grew wings?
Suddenly DFID is a credible body because it is about GEJ regime. I guess you will differ it is about a regime (state or Federal) led by a person of your tribe. Let us shun hypocrisy. If talking of corruption it should involve all regimes from 1960.
Was it not GEJ who wanted to scrap oil subsidy to prevent the rampant scam? Who led protest against it? Who are the main scammers?
Hypocrites you lot.
You see, the funny thing about you guys is you have never claimed GEJ wasn't corrupt in fact y'all always accept that fact but it seems you only have issues when only GEJ is spoken off. Isn't that the truth.
For instance, you didn't say $32b wasn't lost to corruption under GEJ, you only wonder why DFID didn't talk about OBJ. Well, I'm not concerned about, I'm only bothered about the immediate past which DFID just said stole more than $32b. If DFID talk about OBJ I'll respond that. But if you have information about amount stolen under OBJ inform the world and we will thank you for it.
But for now, all we know is GEJ stole Nigerians future in 6 years. Imagine if that $32b wasn't stolen and it is added to the $38b PMB has built our Reserves to by now we would be having more $70bn in Foreign Reserves. Do you know the impacts that will have on value of Naira? Do you know how that would influence huge FDIs? Do you know how much of developmental projects could be invested on? Do you know the number of jobs that would be created as multiplier effects of these?
Please stop defending corruption, it is not even in your own interest.
soulpeppersoup: It is unfortunate that less than 2 years into your saint of a president we have lost almost more than what PDP lost in 6 years. Now these lost are being discovered when your angelic government are still in power. I wonder what we will hear when an opposition takes over.
Please put a number on what you think has been lost in the last 2. Stop making vague statements.
How could a government building up our Reserves during low crude oil price be compared to a government that depleted our Reserves despite unprecedented high price of crude oil? Make good use of your cognition.
AreaFada2: Oh! That should not surprise you. If they had their way, they'd say GEJ has ruled 9ja since 1960 and responsible for ITT, GULF War windfall loot, Halliburton and everything else that ever afflicted 9ja.
Very interesting how the report never mentioned how the "estimate" was made and forgot about other regimes.
Sanussi Lamido once touted $50 billion dollars. This estimate is small. Expect $1 trillion next time.
This is how you guys will be blowing hot air for nothing.
If you how much was lost to corruption under GEJ please inform the world, if you don't please be quite and let people with the resources and expertise to inform the world.
Also, the report said the $32b could well be an underestimate so the $50b you said Sanusi Lamido touted could be right.
Meanwhile, in claiming that GEJ didn't rule for 6 years kindly tell us when Yaradua died, when GEJ started to be acting President and when he was sworn in as the substantive President before his reelction in 2011.
It is shame that the same youths the DFID was encouraging to stand against corruption because it is your future that's been stolen away, are the same youths defending the most corrupt President in the history of Nigeria. Who did this to you guys?
anonimi: Please tell us when the oil price was ever at $140? Why do All Poverty Congress, APC zombies tell lies as if they are breathing oxygen? BTW, I thought the kwaroshun-fighter has plenty of money for bailouts to governors, where is that coming from Yet the governors are not paying salaries because they know that the barawo in Aso Rock cannot do them nothing since he is busy stealing like there is no tomorrow.
newbornmacho: Thunder fire IBB...mtcheewww....useless corruption master. Atiku should please pursue his constitutional rights and not listen to people who never won even a local council election in Nigeria. IBB is not a Democrat and has not earned the right to lecture anybody on democracy, he should be serving jail time for coup plotting and looting of the treasury. Nonsense. fool.
IBB is corruption master. IBB is not a democrat. IBB is this, IBB is that yet your darling Atiku flew all the way to his house in Minna to seek for his blessings. Who is really fooling who? Look, in Nigeria, few men decides who gets any party's presidential tickets. You want to rule Nigeria and you want to ignore IBB, Abdulsalam, OBJ, Tinubu, then your ambition is dead on arrival.
Nowenuse: Since you are good on analysis, facts and figures, why did you escape analyzing my last point?
Fighting corruption was the major deceit subject Buhari used in coming in. Why has the Ikoyi recovered loot issue been swept under the carpet? is that fighting corruption or promoting corruption? Are we saying nobody could be held responsible or prosecuted? Why has the whistle blower not been embursed? Why did the govt lie to us that he has been embursed, after his life has been endagered?
Pls we are waiting for a response!
If you cannot answer, then it's obvious that you and your shameless president of lies and corruption supporters need to cover your heads in shame!
Lol. Are you for real? So based on a single case of a whistleblower not getting compensated yet is the sole reason this government has failed in its fight against corruption? Seriously?
I'm sure Prof. Ayo Oke has a different idea of the fight against corruption wherever he is right now. I'm sure Babachir Lawal has a different idea about corruption war. I'm yet to see how you got to arrive at that ridiculous fact the Ikoyi case has been swept under the carpet. Because Prof. Oke isn't in court yet? Relax.
Nowenuse: Which North-central are you talking of? The one which Buhari fulani kingsmen have turned upisde down? How many times have you seen Buhari sympathize with middlebelt and now north-east people over the fulani herdsmen killings?
Benue state govt have been waiting for Buhari to confirm and back up their Anti open grazing ban, till now no response from Buhari.
Buhari promised to revive the Ajaokuta steel industry in Kogi, till now nothing! Can you show us any serious project Buhari has started or even comissioned in the North-central since he came into power?
Really, what do you take the people of north-central for? People who will just wake up to vote Buhari because he is a fulani man or what?
Boko haram has been degraded? Yet there are still bombings and attacks on daily basis? IDPs are starving, malnourished, sexually molested e.t.c.
You don't get it do you? You think random cases of herdsme/farmers clash would really make Buhari lose his stronghold? I guess you don't know that Buhari has cult-like followership which is above and beyond clashes that has nothing to do with Buhari. In case you don't know, Buhari is a phenomena. What his administration has done to help the financial stability of farmers superceded whatever clashes you think will dampen his support.
And quote me anywhere, no politician living today can defeat Buhari in the NorthEast. Buhari has restored peace to a large extent to that troubled region. All LGAs under Boko Haram has been recovered. People have been relocated to their homes. Schools have reopened. Football is back to these troubled States. Their respective economy is bouncing back. And you think these people don't notice these? Seriously.
You really don't know what's going in Kogi state, right? Do a little bit of research.
See, it is not the stories you read on Social Media written by same folks who didn't vote for Buhari in 2015, that you will base your conclusion on. Yeah, people are hungry but these same people know Buhari is trying to right the wrongs of 16 years rot years that manifested about 24 months ago. They understand. That's why Buhari will continue to be popular and more preferred to any politician.
Don't underestimate the deep understanding of Nigerian people, that's the mistake GEJ and PDP made in 2014/2015 thinking painting Buhari black and evil will change people's desire to have Mr. Integrity lead them. Nigerians are nobody's fool.
I guess in your own world people go from Bad, worse, worsening, worst to best.
By next year, Nigeria will officially have the largest population of poor people in the world, overtaking India.
The naira is weakening with no signs of recovery.
Inflation is already like a normal thing.
Every single association is going on strike one after the other.
Yeah, fight corruption, true. how come till now no single soul has been prosecuted for the recovered loot at Ikoyi building? Is that how to fight corruption? You can imagine how they shamelessly came out to lie to us that the whistle blower was embursed. No shame! They brought about a policy they could not sustain.
I was expecting statistics not emotion-ladened conjectures.
Hard facts publicly available shows that you've been economical with the truths. The fact remains that after so much beating due to low Foreign Reserves and incontrollable importation Naira is gaining strength. There was a time during the recession it was $1/N450 it isn't so today.
Inflation is also on the downward trend at least for the last 8 months. It's normal and expected to have higher inflation during economic recession.
During the GEJ administration so many trade unions went on strike. Even ASUU went on 8 months or so strike. So, don't use strike to judge the failure of a government.
About that largest population of poor in the world, that's so preposterous and laughable. Do you even know the % of poor people in China alone? Do you know the real population of Indian? Get the % of poor in all 3 countries multiply it by the population and compare.
You see, this is why Buhari critics always fail, y'all don't work with facts and statistics, you just let your emotions, your hatred to prevail. Pity.
Nowenuse: Tell your Buhari to take Nigeria back to where he met it pls. Then we can consider re-voting him.
If you do not know that running successful businesses take extra discipline, a high level of focus, commitment, elightenment, exposure and determination, all of which are supposed to be quintessential attributes of a succesful political leader, then it's unfortunate.
Actually those attributes you listed are necessary to be successful in any endeavour including sports and politics, it is not restricted to business alone. However, there are still folks with such attributes and more that have still failed in business endeavors.
And in case you don't know, no sane and patriotic Nigeria is wishing for Buhari to take us back to days of corruption and impunity, to days where in spite of unprecedented high price of crude oil Nigeria couldn't grow it's Foreign Reserves, to days where we were almost getting close to even importing bottled water from neighbouring countries. No, Nigerians don't want that. Nigerians want Buhari to take us to a better place, far better than the last 16 years of PDP.
Nigerians want a more diversified and balanced economy. Nigerians desire a country where corruption in high places are exposed and culprits are disgraced and possibly arraigned and sentenced. Nigerians want a country where we can feed ourselves, where we eat what we grow and grow what we eat. Nigerians want these and more, not going back to days where FGN was borrowing to pay salaries even though few months earlier we were having huge revenue from high price of crude.
Nowenuse: Point of correction! 70% of Hausa-fulani will vote Buhari. But we in the middlebelt and North-east have no reason to vote for Buhari.
If you think there is a good reason why middlebelters and northern minorities should vote Buhari, can you please tell us?
Actually, the so-called middle belt which is North Central will go for Buhari that's including Kwara and Kogi States. NorthEast will even give Buhari minimum of 85% votes. Do you think the NorthEast isn't happy with the way Boko Haram has been degraded?
Look Atiku is only hoping on gernaring enough votes in the South. But he will be massively disappointed because SouthWest will give Buhari majority of the votes. You can't discount the influence of Jagaban and Osinbajo here. SouthSouth and SouthEast will be shared equally only because of PDP influence not because Atiku is a preferred candidate.
Every objective permutations is pointing to Buhari landslide victory.
Nowenuse: So, who is the right person? Buhari is the worse leader any nation can have. We are not even asking Buhari to change Nigeria now, we have been begging him to take Nigeria back to where he met it. When our exchange rate was still198niara/$. Is that so much to ask?
Right now, any other person is a better option to Buhari.
At least, Atiku has a record of successful businesses and academic institutions. He has a passion for quality and world standard education as can be seen through his university. Apart from past military gra gra, what else does Buhari know?
First, running a successful business is way off different from running a country. This democracy not autocracy. In business you can be autocratic to pursue your vision but in politics you don't have such luxury. Moreover, not every successful business has been a very successful and effective political leader. And not every successful Presidents, all over the world have run a successful business before joining politics. It's too simplistic to equate running business with running a country.
Meanwhile, it is very naïve to say any other person is better than President Buhari. Aside from the fact is proves lack of ambition and paucity of direction, it also shows you have little understanding of basic characters of effective political leaders.
Up your game. Electing Atiku in 2019 would be worse than the mistake Nigerians made in 2011 when Goodluck Jonathan was elected.
calaway: Atiku is also Fulani just like Buhari.....this society needs a breath of fresh revolutionary ideas and ideals.. FAYOSE IS THE BEST BET EVEN IF HE RUNS AS AN INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE OUTSIDE PDP OR APC.
9jakohai: Because if they close down their stations, they would lose more financially
Actually no. If they close their stations they would stop the hemorrhaging of profit. If they continue trading and losing money soon they won't have any equitynto even trade anymore. So making consistent loss for 8 months doesn't fly especially here in Nigeria where profits rules everything.
How can Independent Marketers be running their petrol stations at a loss for the past 8 months and we have not heard of it neither was there their usual strike action.
900 filling stations running their businesses at a loss for 8 straight months? Are they that patriotic? Are they PMS Santa Claus?
Adogleta: This one and powder exporting development, which one better pass?
Like if Yahoo Yahoo SW is better, Share if Drug trafficking & Coke development SE is better.
Is this supposed to be a competition? Do we have to choose between two evils? Why not put these evil deeds side by side with innovations, inventions and problem solving with technology and see how people make the choice.
I'm surprised you want people to celebrate criminal activities instead of condemning it you are there promoting it. SMH.
Bimpe29: That's what incessant strike is availing the students over there in LAUTECH. When the guys and ladies alike becomes idle academically, computer based devils occupy their lives and become versatile in cyber crimes in addition to other vices. LAUTECH has been bastardized for learning purposes.
That's a pathetic excuse to take to life of crimes. If there was incessant strikes what stops these students from gaining some vocational education? There are still few who are learning Barbing or Hair styling. Some are learning tailoring or fashion designing. I know of guy who's Level 500 civil engineering and during the strikes he was learning the interlocking and pavement vocation.
These cyber criminals are just greedy and lazy. They want to drive a Venza but can't wait to toil for years legally to acquire one.
FYI, I'm a son of the soil and I'm on ground in Ogbomoso. Strikes and school closure was never the reasons these guys joined Yahoo Yahoo.
here is a write up of my thinking for leaving Islam
My Father is Muslim and my Mother is Christian. Many atimes my father has beaten my mother and when we complain or my uncles on my mothers side complain my father replies
"You know I am a muslim man and follow the Quo'ran to the letter. In Islam we are told to beat our wives if she mispleases us"
So I asked my father to explain what he said and he showed me the quo'ran that say's clearly you can beat your wife.
Qur'an (38:44) - "And take in your hand a green branch AND BEAT HER WITH IT,"
Qur'an (4:34) - " Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to ....... BEAT THEM;
So I tried to comfort my mum, when she said "She will not encourage her daughters to marry a Muslim" And I asked her why not and she said in her Christianity men are commanded to LOVE THEIR WIVES NOT BEAT
Again I asked for proof and she showed me these in the bible which I checked.
Ephesians 5:25 (KJV) Husbands, LOVE YOUR WIVES, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Colossians 3:19 Husbands, LOVE YOUR WIVES, and BE NOT BITTER AGAINST THEM.
These verses in the bible shocked me.
So brothers please tell me how come our quoran encourages beating our women while the Christians God & Bible says not to beat our wives,
I have even sought teachings on this and all the Imams teach you to beat your wife.
This is worrying to me, as I wont want my sisters to be beaten by her husband. So am I agreeing that my sisters should marry a Christian and not a muslim.?
Also why does your bible command you not to beat your wife, while our quoran commands us to beat our wives?
After doing my research I left Islam.
And can say one striking difference apart from loving your wife, is that Christians have a promise of salvation which muslims do not have.
John 3 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED: BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HATH NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.
Even Mohammed is not promised salvation
Sura 46:9 "I am not something original among the messengers, NOR DO I KNOW WHAT WILL BE DONE WITH ME OR WITH YOU(MUSLIMS)."
So comparing , you can see that Jesus is better.

What message are you trying to pass exactly? That child labour and enslavement in the guise of housemaid shouldn't be banned?
I read it all and I was looking examples of political interference but the hater couldn't list some. He talks about lack of CBN Board. Funny, because despite existence of the Board during GEJ Sanusi was still sacked or if you like suspended without due process, isn't that political interference?
I was expecting the guy to list when CBN wanted a policy thrust but Buhari decided against it or when Ministry of Finance and CBN were fighting over policy thrust to move the economy forward.
But again disgruntled elements of the society are entitled to their freedom of speech.
