Wouldn't it be nice to read your own version which would be more educative, interesting and flooded with clues, information and facts?

So easy to critic but so impossible reproduce something similar. Talk is cheap.

George Abiye Sekibo win Rivers East Senatorial district election.

PDP: Democracy is working. The people's votes has defeated their rigging machines.

Magnus Abe win Rivers South-East Senatorial district election.

PDP: Nigeria's democracy is dead. APC has destroyed all the gains of democracy we garnered for 16 years.

Who's fooling who?

Politics in Nigeria is a combination of Jenifa Diaries and Professor Johnbull. Just enjoy the show and laugh out loud.
PoliticsRe: Reps Summon Minister, Ex-efcc, SURE-P Bosses Over N1trn Rail Contracts Scam by Bolster(m): 8:38am On Dec 12, 2016
The 5 years of Goodluck Jonathan will go down as the period of the largest heist in the history of Nigeria. The plundering of our wealth during those years was unprecedented. The impunity was record-breaking. History and posterity will never judge him and his bandits kindly. What the Ineffectual Buffoon sowed in those years innocent Nigerians are now harvesting.

I supported buhari in his campaign against Jonathan.. but I am not impressed with his government at all.. they can do so much better... I am personally tired of hearing the words "summon" "investigate" when looters are mentioned . Buhari has done 2 years in govt... we should be hearing words like "jailed" " sent on life imprisonment without parole " " death sentence without appeal". and we should also start seeing the evidence that loot has been recovered and re-distributed to the masses via social welfare programs and quality infrastructure. I have started losing faith in buhari
First, Buhari is only part of the Executive. This particular investigation is by the Legislature. And conviction can only be done by the Judiciary. Separation of Powers, remember. President is limited by how the other two arms of government perform their duties.

Meanwhile, recovered are not funds FG can expend at will. Some of the funds will only be available when the cases are concluded. Some are under interim forfeiture. Some are attached with conditions especially those coming in from abroad. If the recovered loots are eventually available it will also probably be shared according to allocation sharing formula.

And May 29 2017 is when this government will be exactly 2 years.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria: Moody’s Predicts 2.5% GDP Growth In 2017, 4% In 2018 by Bolster(m): 11:05pm On Dec 11, 2016
4Play:
I wish this were true but GDP forecasts are notoriously difficult. For instance, look at Moody's forecasts in December 2015 for the 2016 year:

https://www.moodys.com/research/Moodys-affirms-Nigerias-Ba3-Federal-Government-issuer-rating-with-stable--PR_340099

As this report notes, 2016 GDP is now estimated at -1.5%.
Your analysis is one-sided. You're only looking at the side of NOT meeting the projections. And you're conveniently ignoring the part where GDP growth can exceed projections.

The major driver of Nigeria's economy is Oil. If Oil is booming, Nigeria's economy will on the upside. When there is crisis in Oil sector then we are in trouble.

If Oil continues to perform as projected (considering the cut in output and the waning of vandalism) we are are probably going to exceed the forecast.

My point is forecasts, projections and estimates are necessary and welcome. They help investors make educated decisions. That some projections fell short doesn't negate the usefulness of these exercises.

PDJT:
Taiwan with a population of about 24 million enjoys $1.147 trillion GDP and $48,703 Per capita.

Whilst Nigeria with a population of over 188 million manages only about $1.166 trillion GDP and $6,351 Per capita.

Shows that Nigerians are about 8 times less productive than Taiwanese.

So many freeloaders everywhere!
I'm not sure that's so accurate. Your analysis didn't consider the fact that Nigeria has a population 8 times bigger than Taiwan.

Why don't you calculate that of China which is closer to Taiwan and see the difference. With their relatively smaller population Taiwan will surely have higher Per Capita Income than China. But does that make Taiwan more productive than China?

You can also compare Norway and the US. Does that mean that Norwegians are more productive than Americans?

Just saying.
PoliticsRe: Cooks Get N54m From FG To Feed Anambra Pupils by Bolster(m): 8:57am On Dec 09, 2016
So many dumb comments. So many unintelligent criticism of the FG School-Feeding Programme.

Get this: there are millions of Nigerian school kids not getting properly fed. I have personally meet school kids going to school without having breakfast because their parents couldn't afford it. The kids were told the parents will either come to give them 'pocket money' later or asked to 'come back home at break time to eat'.

Because you had it so good doesn't mean people out there aren't having it so rough. It is said that every little helps count, so even if it is only breakfast the FG can afford, it matters to most of these kids and their parents. No kid can comprehend nor assimilate properly on empty stomachs. Feed first, then build and equip schools later.

I commend the FG, for in spite of the dwindling revenues and recession they are still trying to fulfill the Social Welfare campaign promises. If previous governments had started such programmes then we won't be here discussing it.

By the way most international organizations including UNICEF supports School-Feeding Programs and such programmes are replicated every where, not just in Nigeria.

Gradually we are getting there. Rice self-sufficiency by 2018 is achievable. It has always been that adversity is the mother of invention. With adversity such as recession the best in us is coming forth. Nobody will grow our country for us except us. Kudos Niger State.

So much bile. So much hatred. So much envy.

Let's appreciate her for what she is and for what she's got - brains, beauty and devotion to human welfare.

Yes, she's lucky to be a daughter of a Governor and it's no fault of hers much as it isn't her fault that we all are not governor's children. Moreover, we can't all be.

She's human, African and Nigerian, so I appreciate her. She's very beautiful and I wish her well.
PoliticsRe: 2019: New Power Bloc Takes Shape In Southwest - Daily Sun by Bolster(m): 11:11am On Dec 04, 2016
Nice article but overly optimistic about the so-called Buhari Boys and deceptively confident about the so-called demystification of Tinubu.

Let's be clear I hate godfatherism but you've got to give it to Asiwaju, nobody has been this successful in nurturing successful politicians in Nigeria.

Can Tinubu be demystify? Probably. Is Tinubu overrated? Of course not. You're not overrated if you can fight President Obasanjo for 8 years, won and lived to tell the story. You're not overrated if you can oust a sitting President with all his power and money. You're not overrated if you can successfully brand and package a candidate who've tried unsuccessfully on 3 occasions. You're not overrated if you can conceived and birth an opposition almost from nothing.

All the stories of Buhari boys is NOT a threat to Tinubu in South-West. Is it Fayemi that couldn't win a single LGA that's a threat to the legacies of Jagaban? Is it Bayo Shittu who most people from Oyo know next to nothing about? Is it Fashola who without Tinubu he will never be in politics that will now threaten the influence and reach of Asiwaju? Or is it Oyegun who couldn't win his ward in Edo that will now be threat to Tinubu?

President Buhari understands the power, influence and reach of Tinubu that's why he begged him not to work against APC in the Ondo election. And APC won. We seems to have also forgotten that Olusegun Abraham was Tinubu candidate in APC not Olushola Oke of AD.

Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu can't be this successful without acknowledging that you win some and you lose some. Jagaban can't be this successful without factoring the possibilities of his 'boys' betraying him.

Asiwaju Tinubu is a strategist not blabber. Jagaban is a victor not a nonstarter. BAT is an organiser not a disruptor.

Yes it covered the whole maintenance fund plus some change though minus the tuition fee which has been settled already.

Justwise, I'll like to know if that 28 days requirement actually affect your current balance reducing or not. Because I've funds already counting close to 28 days but I just some cash transferred in increasing the bank balance. Does the new balance need to stay another 28 days or the old balance already getting close 28 days stands. Please note that fund increased NOT reduced. Thank you.
