Part 2.
DH and kid bro were just in the next room and they could hear everything. Mumsy stayed by my head side, even though her doctor colleague kept asking her to leave. She just wouldn't buldge. All was set and someone was asked to pray. Meanwhile, I had requested for the type where I could watch things happen, but the doctor said no way! I was too curious and wouldn't let him work freely. Remember that we had some sought of relationship and I was really worried if he would be able to deliver.

So they started praying, and that was the last thing I remembered. Then I began to have all kinds of dreams that I couldn't explain. Then I would come back to the subconscious and hear myself groaning. I could hear mumsy by my head side holding my head and consoling me. Then I would zoom off to my inexplicable dreamland. Mum said that I would start groaning when the anesthesia began to wear off, and then some more would be given.

My baby was brought out and guess what? Her cord was tied into a tight nut. This was where she got her food from, and was breathing through, so how come it was tightly nutted and she was still alive?
The surgeon said in all his years of practice, he had never seen a baby survive with a nutted cord.

Secondly, her amniotic fluid was totally exhausted, yet my overcomer baby was still alive and kicking.

Then, even though she was positioned head down, she was going to come out with her face. Like, her face was supposed to face the anus, but it was facing the veejay. Natural labour would have been really stressful, and considering the nutted cord and finished amniotic fluid, who knows how long more she would have survived the stress?

Forthly, fibroids were brought out of me. As in NINE FIBRIODS! Two mighty ones and seven smaller ones. I was initially scared and suggested that they shouldn't touch the fibroids that were seen in scan cos of loss of blood like I read on this thread. Remember that my PCV was already low. Imagine more loss of blood... The doctor himself said not many doctors would agree to do both together, it was quite risky. He just trusted God to make it successful.

The doctor really took his time searching everywhere for anymore fibroids, cos scan only picked two. My dh was called in to see the fibroids while doctor was still working, and the guy almost fainted. He had to be taken out immediately. Doc then asked mum to call dad since hubby no get liver.
Dad came in, saw all the fibroids and walked out without saying a word.
Guyman had stepped into the next room and was weeping! Like real tears.
Mumsy followed him out since he didn't say a word only to meet my old man in tears. He was like, so all those things were in my daughter and she was still able to conceive? And the baby survived all the toxic environment and still came out 3.8? That he was shedding tears of joy.

Mum came back to me in the theatre and they finished up. I was shuffling between the subconscious world and the unconscious. I knew when I was being lifted back to my room. Gradually I came through. When I could talk, I simply asked dh, boy or girl? He said girl and I immediately slept back. They brought her picture to me and all I could see were pink lips.
She came out so hairy that anyone who saw her was just ogling. One said that was the reason for my consistent heartburn.
I could see dh all over her, from her skin colour to her hair and even facial features.
It really did end in praise, and my testimonies are unquantifiable.

The only thing now is, since yesterday, I'm not being allowed to even taste water till I fart. Me that was Queen of Farts in my pregnancy is using torchlight to find it now.
Baby farted one big one and I asked her to dash me.
You people should help me beg God to dash me fart so I can at least take water and feed my girl. I don't even need food, just fart...

END OF BS.

What a Mighty God we serve! We bless God for victory.Your Joy shall know no bounds and may She forever bring you Joy and happiness.Amen

At the delivery table
The fetal monitor was strapped again and was so discomforting. As its been strapped, I would loosening it to feel comfortable. Each time I did this, the nurse would return to tighten again..lolz. Then she tried to check how far I had gone, but I found it difficult again. In my head I was like, you people are wicked faa trying to check me for dilation while contracting was the highest form of wickedness…lotflmao.
She couldn’t again and she told me categorically that I would be taken to the theatre for delivery. Immediately, I rejected it telling her I would have a normal delivery. Not that CS is a bad idea but I would probably need to break a bank to have that option. While on the table, I would gist with the nurse asking them to either carry my leg or massage it etc. At a point, I held one of the Nurses’ trousers firmly to relieve contraction, then I would pull my hair(natural hair gang tinz) for relief (thank God the Hairdresser babe no show up, I for don loss the hair at the delivery table).
While I was gisting with the nurses trying to know what was happening to me and my baby at every point my pastor’s wife was wishing I would just stop talking to save my strength when it was time to push. I was checked again and the nurse told me I wasn’t cooperating at all and I shouldn’t blame them if anything happened to the baby. I responded I was returning home with my baby alive. DH was called to get me some thing to drink and I opted for water. I drank some water and few minutes later, I saw the nurses(English speakers and native speakers) packing there baggages and I felt they had given up on me. I called them and asked what was happening and I heard the greatness news ever “we can see the head of your baby and we are going to bring in the delivery things”. I was super excited that the wait was over. I spoke to my Lo told her she need to cooperate at this point and to receive the strength to come forth. She replied me “mum, I am trying”…Lolz funny, right?. But I heard her.
I was quickly tutored on how to push and to the glory of God My Joy arrived weighing 3.0kg with some tears at about 1am officially (Hospital report) but my husband recorded 12:53am was when he heard her cry. Going by DH timing, I delivered on 11:53pm Nigerian time on sept 25 and September 26 at 12:53am (Rwandan time).

Fast Forward….
On 23rd of September, I was to get my hair braided in preparation for delivery having made appointment for home service a week earlier. On 22/09/2017 (Friday), I cleaned the bathroom and toilet to make fit for a guest to use…She never showed up sha…Awon oni ise owo sha…mtchew.
After urinating on Saturday evening, I used tissue paper to wipe as usual. Alas! I saw a very scanty blood on the tissue, brownish in color (similar to when the menstrual period has ended and the blood was fading away). Immediately, I showed DH and told him I guess the baby is about to make her appearance.
By Sunday, the quantity of the scanty blood had increased and it came with cramps which I felt was usual and would go if I massage with towel soaked in water. I informed my sister who then asked me to time the so called cramps which ended up to be inconsistent.
On Monday morning, DH and I set out to put some things in order and I just decided to put my ANC card in my bag and my delivery deposit ($235) even though I took it along for another purpose should incase we needed more money for our runs.
We walked for several minutes and I started feeling the cramps again (didn’t dawn on me I was having contractions already). I would walked for some minutes and when the cramps came up, I would catch some breathe before we continued. Thereafter, I was thirsty and wanted to take Iced tea but I decided to finish our runs before taking the iced tea. Finally, we got to a food court and DH advised I take a proper meal since the last I had was a small portion of food for breakfast and it was 5pm already (never knew that was the last meal before delivery) thank God I obeyed!!!
We rounded off quickly to meet up with prayers in church which was to run from 6pm-7pm. I encouraged DH to go ahead of me as I decided to just check with my gyneacologist. She checked for vital signs and it was time to be examined through the vagina. Omo no be small something! That thing hard me no be small o. She was dumbfounded and asked the usual question “Madam, how do you intend to deliver?” I replied God will help me. She then gave me a drug to take saying if it were to be false labour, the drug would stop the contraction and if not I should return to the maternity. I took a short trip to the maternity, walked round it, prayed and later left. On my way to church to join DH, 10minutes walk became about 30minutes walk. It was as if the contraction had increased, I would walk for some minutes when the contraction came, I would pretending I was receiving a phone call so as not to attract onlookers.
I got to the church at 7pm and took the drug as instructed. After prayers, DH had to join the ministers meeting while i waited for him in my Pastor’s wife’s office. I shared my experience with the pastor’s wife and she prayed with me. DH checked up on me to have the feedback from the hospital but I asked him to finish up with his meeting first. After the meeting at about 10pm, my pastor’s wife returned to her office and she met me trying to take different positions to relieve myself from the way I was feeling. She called her husband (a Nurse turned fulltime pastor), I explained to him and he said if it was false contraction that it would have ended longtime ago and he suggested I return to the hospital that night. Using my Ijebu mind, I told him my hospital fee would start counting from that night. He then took DH and I in his vehicle accompanied by his wife with the intention of taking us home. At a T junction that leads to either my house or hospital, My pastor asked again, “do you want to go home or hospital?” but he reiterated that there was no crime in checking and if its not the real thing, he would take us home. I then agreed to check at the hospital. He responded that he had decided to take us to the hospital because from his observation, I was in labor. In my mind, I was like this cant be labour as I could talk and didn’t feel pain like what I had read etc.

At the Hospital
When we arrived at the maternity at 10:30pm, we had to ask for an English speaker to attend to me. Then I was to be examined again it became a tug of war! My pastor’s wife had to hold one of my legs while the nurse held the other. Fetal heartbeat monitor was strapped around as the nurse waited for contraction before inserting her finger for dilation. Finally I was checked and I was 6cm gone. It dawned on me that that was it but the books I had read and the things I had seen on this trend were playing back. I remember a mama here adviced that epidural should be taken around that 4cm or so Since I presented at 6cm, I couldnt. so I told God He has brought me this far and wont leave me at that point. My Pastor and DH hurriedly went home to pick my already packed box as the nurse announced that my dilation was progressing.
I was placed on a bed while I tried to relieve myself of the contraction by listening to songs and speaking in tongues. Few minutes later I was placed on the delivery table.

My BS

He has done so much for me
That I cannot tell it all
I cannot tell it(2ce)
He has done so much for me
That I cannot tell it all
I can not tell it all

To the God of my Journeys,
Oba ti n tini leyin ti ki tiniloju,
Obatintetisini… I am the one who has returned with thanks because indeed only you can do what no man can do.
Long before I got married, my elder sister (a Medical Doctor) told me to make it known that my threshold for pain was very low cause I couldn’t bear pain in the body of any kind. Jokingly She would say I shouldn’t call her whenever I am in Labour..lolz
Started ANC at 13 weeks on a foreign soil and I was surprised it wasn’t like back home where people would be educated on the basic things to know before and after birth. You walk in, see your gynaecologist, make necessary complain and leave. Worst part, most fellow pregnant women I meet on my appointment days couldn’t speak my language hence, I couldn’t even relate with them. As a ftm, I was relieved when I discovered this trend on Nairaland…Oh what joy that feels my soul.
I was given 2nd October as my EDD but prayed and wished that Lo shows up in the month of September(My wedding anniversary Month). At 37weeks (15/09/2017) I presented at the hospital and the gynaecologist was to conduct vaginal examination (my worst nightmare) but she couldn’t. I was scared to my marrow. She herself was scared. I cried and screamed. She asked me how I intend to deliver and if I wasn’t careful it will be CS. Meanwhile, my health insurance does not cover pregnancy and having to pay from our pocket was nerve cracking how much more if na CS.
I prayed, declared the word of God, read supernatural childbirth that was shared on the platform and believed God while I said to myself that I would take it one step at a time

Watch out for part 2
