No, Graelish was not "very good" last season. He had a brief moment in either April or March where he scored or made remarkable assists. But that was it.

If Graelish was a United player and he scored 5 PL goals last season, as a 100m player, you'd be calling for his head today.

Just admit you didn't watch Grealish for City last season instead of doing plus and minus with stats. You saying he was poor in the champions league confirms it even more. Even using stats Grealish created the Most chances for City last season in the Champions league and was only 2nd for city i the League behind Kdb while having the most dribbles in both competition. I already know that champions league stats is incorrect because from the top of my head I remember Grealish providing the assists for Mahrez In the quarter final away at Leipzig. He also provided an assist against Bayern after he robbed Upamecano of the ball. If Sancho can perform like for a season we will be happy.

It's not just by comparing statistics alone. Grealish performance was very good for Man city last season especially after the world Cup. Sancho has never had anything like that at United so this comparism doesn't really work.

Excellent is B+ to B- : 80 to 90 while World class is A+ to A- : 90 to 100. Even in world class categories they are grades.

Now, if the rumors transfer budget is to be believed, signing Kane will see us lock up shop as far as incomings are concerned since we haven't been able to raise anything substantial from player sales.

You can accuse the owners of numerous things but being greedy and not spending money on players is definitely not one of them. We are the top spending clubs in the last decade or close 2nd behind City. We broke our transfer spending in a window just last season here.

Look at Cit with Sterling, Sane etc. Our problem is that we buy top players at the wrong end of their careers for so much money when we know they don't have any resale value. At other times, we buy average players and place them on ridiculously high wages making it impossible for us to sell when they don't meet our expectations.

Top clubs don't care about resale value. Are you buying him in the hope of selling him for profits or you are buying him to drop world class performances to win trophies? It's better to spend 100milliion on a player that will give 3 to 4 world class seasons like Kane than spending 60 to 80million on potential like Hojund and Kolo Muani.
