Anyway I don move on oh. Yesterday I got my son passport at Tucson, same day. But what I understand is 1) You can get your passport same day if your try is 6days from the time you apply at Tucson otherwise it would be mailed to you 2) For Nigerians if your trip is two weeks away, they can still process same day Passport issuance if you inform them that you baby would be requiring a visa which would take some days to get processed 3) I went with greyhound bus, it was nice but on returning I use a shuttle which was also cool. The shuttle picks and drop you at your desired location 4) If you decide to go to Tucson, it’s wise to arrive early for same day issuance of passport, it took about an hour for me to get the passport issued. Looking forward to porting back home soon. |
STORY STORY, STORYYYY Hello House, Let me begin by thanking you all for your concern and encouragement, it's nice to have a lovely family that cares. Anyway like I said my case was extremely different from those that I have read here but I'm still very much positive about life and feel strong. I came to MIHS from Atlanta after going through this thread with so much review about their amazing services. On the 8th of October I showed up at the labour and delivery section 40mins from the time my water broke (some time to shower, about 20mins for the cab to get to crossland and another 13mins to get to MIHS). I arrived the L& ward at about 10am in the morning, I was check and allowed to stay knowing that the baby was arriving any time, when the doctor check she told me I was fully effaced and 5cm dilated, I was already feeling some hard contraction and informed the nurse that I wanted an epidural administered, this is something I had always told them during my prenatal visit, the nurse said I have to relax that the anesthesiologist was arriving in minutes to administer to the epidural, I waited endlessly for epidural for hours but to my greatest surprise they guy never came, at 12:58am I delivered a 9pounds 4oz baby, natural birth and got a third degree tear. I was in real pain and shock because I had my first baby in California ( Sutter Roseville) and I didn't experience pain from the delivery and never envisaged that I was going to go through so much pain, that whole day passed and I couldn't walk because of the intense pain that I was feeling. I wasn't happy about the pain and cut but I consoled myself that atleast the baby is alive and I am alive and with time the pain will fade out. I stayed for 2days and it was time to be discharged then one of the pediatric nurses came up to me to say my baby would not be discharged because he had high level bilirubin (jaundice) and had to stay under phototherapy for some days, at first I was confused because they didn't inform me that he was going to be staying over, then I told her that it would not necessary because I am very much aware that sunlight can do as much as phototherapy could do but she insisted the baby had to remain in the hospital, I asked the cost of each day stay and how many days he had to stay, they told me it could cost between 1500usd - 1700usd daily and he has to stay for couple of days, I was like tell me exact days so I would know the financial responsibility but they said they have no specific days, I asked her if I was going to get some form of discount then she told me she was going to ask the social worker, to my greatest surprise a social worker walked up to me and said if we try to discharge the baby we would be reported to child support service and they would be taking custody of the baby, I was looking at her in shocked because we haven't even had a discussion for her to begin such statement, I told my husband that we should go home and let them do whatever they want to do, the following day we arrived at the NICU and good as it was they told me the bilirubin level had dropped and we could go home with the baby. After about 10days of staying at home, I was readmitted to the hospital. I checked in to the emergency unit at about 2am (Saturday 18th, mid-night). I was home on Saturday, I tried to sleep but I couldn't sleep for hours, my feet were so swollen, severe headache and chest pain, I told my husband that I suspect I am having and that it isn’t wise to be home because I might have a seizure, he went to walgreens, bought a blood pressure machine and we checked my BP, it read 168/89, we had no option but to go to the emergency unit. When I got to the emergency unit, they asked if I already had my first prenatal visit and I said no, so they referred me to the labour and delivery unit to be checked, I met a nurse and she called a second nurse to go through my package then they sent me back to the emergency unit downstairs. I went and was taken into one of the rooms, the nurses took my blood pressure and asked what was wrong, I told her as i felt (headache, chest pain, swollen feet , and high BP which she also confirm after checking). A doctor came in and asked me again I said same thing, thinking they would commence treatment but they did not do anything until after an hours, when then they took blood sample , after 30mins they returned and said i had something abnormal in my blood, they said I have heart problems, I told them I have never had any issue with my heart and not a BP patient, they refused, rather they went on with their test, did 2 ultrasound for my heart, then they said my heart was larger than normal but they needed further screening to confirm, I was worried. after that they did CT Scan, snapped pictures of my heart and in the early hours of the morning came up with a conclusion that my heart was normal and I had no hole in my heart. ( only that one first make my BP spike) I was more relaxed but still they said they haven’t detected what was wrong with me and what was responsible for the High Blood Pressure. A doctor came and asked if I had any visitor from Africa I said yes, my husband visited me a day after my child delivery then he brought up issue of Ebola, my husband said it's not possible because he was coming from UK and not Nigeria and even if he were coming from Nigeria we had no case of Ebola but just if they still have concern they can do whatever test they desire to do. after hours in the room with one treatment which they said was to drop the BP my chest was still paining me, my legs remained swollen, BP was even higher than when I first arrived the hospital, my husband became worried and asked how come they couldn't administer any medication to drop the BP a little atleast but they said they didn’t want to drop it spontaneously, at about 11am they admitted me and moved me to floor three after 25minute a doctor came and said I cannot be on that floor because they cannot administer the medication I would be needing on that floor and moved me to floor 2, postpartum. Finally another doctor came and said i had preclamsia and they would be treating for it with magnesium sulphate, I accepted oh, they fixed IV and began treatment I stayed for two days and I was tired of everything. The lies, up and down tossing and the unprofessionalism displayed. Anyway at the moment I am fine and expecting my bills, but personally I think Nigerians have over pertronize the hospital and possible they have a notion Nigerians are very rich and trying hence they try to exploit and take advantage, possible the reason why they also increase the maternity package. For me sha nah final bye bye to MIHS, I nor go for awoof hospital again never, I would rather go for quality and good care than just cheap. But please not to scare anyone; a lot of mama’s had very good experience so my case is just 1 of, so no shaking. |
Freshface:Babe Awoof dey run belle, this one purge me completely. I am still in shock because with all the great reviews they have been having, I still can comprehend what happened in my case oh. Details coming soon sha. |
Just delivered my baby in MIHS, I am good and baby is fine but my experience with them is very very bad. I would rate them 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 been extremly poor and 10 been great. Me I never still understand becos everyone seem to have had happy ending except me, anyway I thank God for all things. |
Hello MIHS moms whom already gave birth. Please i would like to know if any of you had your child under phototherapy for billirubin, if any what was the cost sent after the treatment? |
raii:Thanks |
Hello, I understand they have been several statements on not attending to people asking questions that have been answered, I beg una, I don check the thread I nor see the page again ooooooo so i wan ask. 1) I am in phoenix how can I apply for Nigeria Visa 2) How does the Tucson same day passport process works I am willing to read so anyone can simply refer me back to the page where this was addressed. |
MadameU: My people don't get it twisted o, some of us looking out for safe areas have no issues with staying in crossland or extended stay east oak or built more, these places have rates that are alarming that's why we are trying to seek out other safe but cheaper options. For the period some of us intend to be in phoenix the bills for crossland and extended stay is as high as 3000-5000 dollars. And I bet most NL that went before now paid a max of 1900 for 60days and above .Yeah, the price at crossland is gone up, when I arrived I paid 20usd a night but right now it's 26.60usd a night, and its for a one bed not double bed. I tried to move to double bed room and they said $1300 a month which is on the high side, so if you find cheaper and safe place then cool. Crossland is not bad though, i think i feel someway safe here. |

Hello, Please what exams do I need to write if I need to apply for undergraduate studies in USA as a science student? and what if I am social science student with intention to go for Masters. I am asking this for my relations |
Stop dehumanizing women, Make una big up nah, this is not the problem of Nigeria right now I beg. Nah solution we need not to analyse our problem |
tivta: Battle of the sexes. Hmmm. Only God knows what will happen if the woman tried that in africa. To all you women of this generation, you cant eat your cake and have it. If you want respect make sure you are financially independent. If on the other hand you depend on your man for every little thing that is not a matter of life and death, then be prepared to dance to his tune. HE WHO PAYS THE BILLS CONTROLS YOUR LIFE ANYWAY HE WANTS TO.Wahala dey ohhh, If it means to beg then women beg una, not hating. Teach your sisters and daughters and female friends on this, I am not insulting you oh, I am saying that explain this to many more young women and girls that you see to understand so that they can be productive. |
My final answer; Yes Nigeria is Unsafe from my eyes. |
If we were to compare Nigeria to USA, then USA is sadly paradisaical. Sorry, that's just the sad truth. Unfortunately, racism in America is more apparent and deadly than tribalism in Nigeria.
this thread is meant to answer the question is Nigeria really unsafe? When compared to the USA with some factors, then NO it is not When compared to Haiti and South Sudan Yes it is |
Okay let us close the topic until Nigeria has constant power supply then we will see how many years it will take us to reopen it. |
fckyourman: Look at your exaggeration who sleeps with their eyes open ?Man no disrespect, I slept with my eyes open. In all honesty never you compare Nigeria to USA in terms of security or development. We will never be able to meet this people in our generation, maybe the generations to come would tryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, they really need all the speed in this life to overtake them, but everyone typing here today may never be able to see that happen. Individual preference also matter but real time security I beg I nor fit shout ooooo USA is safer than Nigeria as for Today |
Safety in terms of Road The roads are Bad: To a large extent we know this Light: Light is safety, because if we have street lights then we feel a little confidence moving at night Homes: You need real fence each time you are in possession of large sum, infact you have to sleep with one eyes open My dear friend, Nigeria is safe but not safe. WE NEED SECURITY |
Don't you ever in your darest NL life compare security in Developed nation to security in third-world nation like Nigeria. Ever!!
Leave am please, Not knowing is allowed, we are in the field of study and we must all accept ourselves as trying to find a way to the solution of a need. |
Anyway whether or not is unsafe is dependent on where you have stayed and lived and where you are comparing it to. If you compare Nigeria to Sudan and Somali and Haiti then you can possible say Nigeria is safe but if you compare it to France, Dubai or America then you will tremble and say Nigeria is unsafe. So what is safety with the bomb blast and killings of people everyday, Yes this does not only happen in Nigeria but it still doesn't change the fact that it's happening. Infact how many wealthy people do you see build houses without huge fences? That explains how safe it is, also how many people move without escort also tells you about security. Lets tell yourselves the truth as that is where change begins, we need solution but how can we have one when each time people say Nigeria is safe and Nigeria is Poor and all is okay, Please from my view; We need more security, thanks for the present security but we need more security. No, foreigners are not hyping this, they are only evaluating from the resources they believe we have as to where we should be, in real sense it depends on a lot of factors to reach out a conclusion, but meanwhile everything is based on where you're looking at it from. |
Final Answer, How can a single heart broken young man advice women on how to get married? maybe you should Marry first before you advice ladies on why they are still single, by then you wouldn't even see an article to plagiarize. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: What chores are we even talking about, you women talk like you are working in plantations .... u funny, okay if nah two spoon and two forks I nor mind, no need to share. Go watch match I go wash am |
Babzilla: T0T0 NO DEY TALK TRUEHow old are you? |
StateOfMind: Are nigerian women tormenting nigerian men these days? Almost all the threads lately have been about different advice to women *phew* . Una no dey tire?Yeah Thanks for this post. The men should stop trying to manipulate women minds. If you need a wife focus on yourself, you would get one and stop advising women on how you want them controlled. if you buy your own control her ( you understand marriage as a trade), if you want a union then understand her. Women are dying everyday in Nigeria and you don't think you should be advising on how to close the inequality gap rather your here celebrating inequality in the name of in the past. where you born in the past? why do you want to live the life of the past? |
some of points listed above are as a result of improper upbringing n sort of vicious cycle of faulty foundation.it started from homes where the child/ren was/were overpampered;the children are left watchin tv,playin games, etc. .while their mother do not bother to call them. i hold the beliv that when a child, esp d girl child, starts to walk,he/she shud start learnin how to cook, wash n bath him/herself,. but wat do u see nowadays, househelps have totally taken over the responsibilities of the children at home, leavin them rotten n decayed domestically. the housegirls most times come out of homes better wife material than the spoilt brats. this trend continues like dt n when they eventually get married to the unfortunate men, the cycle continues,it's gettin increasingly alarming
Superman have spoken. Answer the question, why you post here without reference baba plagiarism |
