ambale: You say calling to order??
Who owns the territory they are in??
You say a governor is a guest in his own state but same una supported some governors telling a private citizen to write them before coming into their state
Why are we like this in this country now She can call him to order. A governor is not a demi-god. He does not own any territory, and yes, a governor can be a guest in his own state. If I own a house in the state and he visits me, he becomes a guest. Same way if he is invited to an event. As simple as that. |

correctyourself: I'm surprised to read your comments using these fraises and you could not think she could have used alternative . There was MC and Protocols she could have signal and they would deliver her message to the governor and nobody would understand
Her idea was good, but she would have delivered it through protocll. Better still, She could have even wrote short notice on the back of her complementary card and sent to him it will send a strong signal. I like White people for this way of communication. She did nothing wrong. I am disappointed by the responses here and feel sorry for this country. A lot of people don't know what it means to be entrusted with a public office. They want entertainment and the nonsense they call "catching cruise". The demands for apology here shows the people deserve the government they have. That is how you get unserious and irresponsible government. You elected a governor for singing and dancing? Circus? And you wonder why nothing works? The people in government are truly the reflection of the people. They reflect people like you guys, so I wonder why you still complain about the condition of the country. |

Oh please. The French narrative is trite. Sometimes you can't escape these narratives. Yes, there is much to be said about the fatigue of France in its former colonies, still I don't think military rule is the solution. The people should make that discontent known and their voices heard through democracy. So far, those military officers who have seized power are yet to transition to democracy. The President of Benin asked for assistance, what should President Tinubu have done? Look away? Does Tinubu want a coup in Nigeria? I don't want military rule in Nigeria, so should such attempt be made, I welcome such foreign help, if sought. |

Politics › Re: Benin Government Asked Nigeria For Fighter Jets, Ground Troops - Onanuga by BondRiv: 4:13pm On Dec 09, 2025 |
Ofunaofu: How exactly was the invitation communicated?
Even if Nigeria received an invitation to participate, does the constitution permit the President to unilaterally deploy air assets and military personnel to another country without National Assembly authorization? That is the core issue, not the vague explanations being offered by Bayo Onanuga
The National Assembly must thoroughly investigate whether this action, along with others, constitutes a breach of constitutional obligations. If the President is found to have violated the Constitution, the impeachment process should commence without delay.
This is not a banana republic; this is a nation governed by law, and no one is above it Impeachment my foot. I hate when people unnecessarily channel so much energy to things that do not warrant it. Did we declare war? We were INVITED by the President of Benin to render urgent assistance. Do some of you think at all? You expected the president to hold a joint sitting with the National Assembly or what? Whatever information the National Assembly needs will be communicated to them. The executive knows how to relay that. The president acted within his powers as commander in chief. Also, this is different from what some of you were advocating for, which was U.S. unilateral intervention (invasion) without invitation. Suddenly, you guys have remembered the constitution and sovereignty. Anyway, the president acted appropriately in this situation with his foreign counterpart. |

It is only under Sharia law that it is explicitly stated that a man who rapes his wife cannot be prosecuted or punished by law for the act.
Are you telling us that you are a Muslim married under Sharia law? You will leave your field and start arguing with someone trained in the profession. I have told you the position of the law in Nigeria. It has nothing to do with Sharia. |
Romance › Re: I Know This Is A Sensitive Topic But Can A Man Rape His Wife by BondRiv: 9:11pm On Dec 08, 2025 |
Kobojunkie: In Nigeria, only those under Sharia law, which explicitly states that a man is exempt for punishment on the case that he raped his wife, are excluded from the rape laws in Nigeria. Everyone else is subject to the same ordinances which state that forcible nonconsensual sex is punishable by law. 🥱🥱 A man cannot rape his wife in Nigeria. That is the position of the law. |

[b]US is watching closely and I think they will intervene and kick someone out before that country falls, because if the country falls, it could destabilize an entire continent. /b] That person they will kick out is powerless, he's unpopular in the country and very dependent on the votes of people who have another agenda to overrun the country. If the USA cared about the stability of this continent or even Nigeria, they wouldn't have inflicted us with terrorism to destabilise us.
