Why can't some of you just read and understand? Is that what you took away from this whole article? This is more about principles, autonomy and narratives than just visa.

USA is selling a narrative about Europe which they claim is false. They are also using democratic principles which they claim are lacking in Europe to justify their Visa ban on EU officials and citizens.

There was bound to be a reaction. This is international relations. Possibly reciprocity too. It is not as mundane as you have reduced it to "fighting for American visa".

After agreeing to something, you start talking about the constitution. Same thing happened last time with the presidential resolutions. You won't get anywhere in politics acting like a snake and not honouring agreements.

Fubara's tenure is chaotic enough. Rivers people don't need that a second time. He should relax in Opobo in 2027. Whoever Wike and his allies back will win the governorship election. Fubara has no political weight. He shouldn't waste his time and energy.

Same can be said about the USA, even though I'm not defending the Nigerian government. It is not as though saints are in political offices in the USA. The USA has the right to impose whatever restrictions. Just as we do too and can reciprocate. We just don't have a lot of people in office who care about the interest of this country. USA is not our friend.

Any informed person who comes across your post will take issue with it. That's because it reveals a lack of knowledge about how the USA conduct its affairs. USA has done a lot of things inconsistent with the label "civilised". Even the ones perpetrated within its borders. They commit and support atrocities all the time in the name of their so-called "interest". Any excuse can be used as a reason. It is made up to serve a purpose. Just so you know, there are other evil things you can do to a nation, aside bombing it (something CIA knows). These things are well documented.
