SenecaTheYonger: Terrorist sponsors are telling you gullible Nigerians that USA is not happy about our refinery so they can sway the public against USA’s effort to assist in killing bandits.
Let me educate u Nigeria. There is nothing Trump hates more than immigrants coming to his country. And he knows that any country that is destabilized, their citizens will want to move to the USA, so republicans and republican presidents will do anything in their power to make sure Nigeria is not destabilized.
Now Democrats are different. The more they destabilize other countries, the more they can take in their citizens, care for them, feed them, house them, so they can vote democrats in the future. That is how democrats secure votes.
Now you know the difference between the two parties. This your view is ill-informed. Was George Bush a democrat? You don't understand USA's foreign policy. That country is well structured. It doesn't matter who is in office, certain objectives remain the same. Trump is just a racist who wants only white immigrants. Every other thing remains the same. They are still destabilising other countries. What is the business of the CIA overseas? They are several reports and videos online by former agents. Some of you don't read or care to know the truth. When you make a country inhabitable, the only sensible thing is for the people of that country to join you in your own country. The USA only cares about maintaining its hegemony. They fund terrorists, force regime change and topple democratic governments. It is well documented. They don't want competition. So what are you talking about? It is the height of naivety to think the USA cares about Nigeria or our interest. I don't expect them too either. No one is going to save us but ourselves. The USA is no ones messiah. |

Nteogwuija: Precedent is now set. Successive presidents have taken note.
On a second thought, why are our laws open to discretions and loopholes for circumvention?
Lawyers and others conversant with the law, could you be kind to educate us? The Supreme Court has the power to overrule its previous decision. There is a precedent now, but it can change in the future. It depends on the circumstances of the case, not just the law. Procedurial misstep can lead to the loss of a case. Everything is important. Some laws are somewhat ambiguous, so in such situations, arguments will be made by lawyers from different perspectives to support their case. Just as our opinions differ, people can look at a law and analyse it based on their understanding. Ultimately, it is the judge that decides. Whatever the judge interprets is the law. |

His biggest mistake was riding on the back of Wike to become governor, he never won the election by his own efforts How would he had won without Wike in the first place? Wike is the one that gave him the ambition to be a governor. Do you even understand that?Fubara was just a civil servant. In a thousand years, he wouldn't have won a governorship election in Rivers State. Not even an LGA election. Wike helped his life. |

The governor has declared several times in the past that the crisis is not hindering the performance of his job. You guys keep making excuses. And what business do I have with publication of resolutions? Can you now see the nonsense that do not warrant any response? Are resolutions at private political meetings usually made public? It is at the discretion of the participants. The Speaker simply decided to set the record straight because the governor was misleading the public. Fubara is also notorious for not honouring resolutions. If you don't understand politics, go to the entertainment section. |

Truths9ja: Breaking news Fubara: if he sees his Defêction as gaining supermacy , he will start having power tussle - opuende
Rivers State House of Assembly lawmaker Honourable Lolo Isaiah Opuende has warned Governor Siminalayi Fubara against using his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a strategy to establish dominance over FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and the state legislature.
Speaking during an interview from 7:49 with Nigerian Info FM, Opuende acknowledged the governor’s constitutional right to change party affiliation. “The governor has right and the freedom to associate the constitution, so he empowered him. So we have nothing to say. If he has defected, it is a welcome development. At least we all can be in the same party and work together for the development of the state if he sees it from that angle,” he said.
The lawmaker cautioned that Fubara should not view his party switch as a power play against his former political mentor. “But if he sees his defection as gaining supremacy over whatever that is when he will start having power tussle with some other person. You will start flexing muscle with some other persons because you defecting from PDP where you’ve lost grip and going into APC where you may not even have another grip is another question to ask because if I am leaving a party I should be able to leave with some structures that will be accepted,” Opuende stated. This is the only reasonable thing here. The rest are clowning as they usually do until harsh reality sets in. |
