This is quite sad. A popular disc jockey of Unity 93.3 FM in Jos, Plateau state, is dead. According to reports, the deceased identified as DJ Silver woke up yesterday morning hale and hearty and led his fellow DJs to the prison to play a friendly match with the inmates.

He was said to have prayed for his team before the match started. 

It was gathered that the DJ who was the goalkeeper - suddenly collapsed.

He was rushed to the prison hospital from where he was transferred to Faith Alive clinic where he later gave up the ghost.

May his soul rest in peace.

A 14-year-old girl was hospitalised after she was raped by ten boys during a cult initiation in Nkpor, Anambra state. According to a report sent in, the shocking incident happened last two weeks after the said girl decided to join the cult group and in the process, agreed to have sex with all the guys present during the initiation.

In the process of having sex with the cult guys, the young girl collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.

It was also revealed that some of the cultists who participated in the act, have been arrested while others are currently on the run.

This is not the first time an issue like this has happened. 

Some months ago, the police in Enugu state made a startling revelation of how female students in Junior Secondary Schools in the state, are getting gang raped as part of requirements before joining different female cult groups in the state.

This was after 30 female Junior Secondary School students were busted by police while about to be initiated into different cult groups, Viron Queens/White Angels confraternities.

Inconclusive admission.

A man has taken to social media to cry out for help after securing admission into the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu state only to find out the department never existed. This is after paying the required fees and completing the registration. 

Matthew Etopobong Udeme, took to twitter to narrate his ordeal which has seen him waste almost one year without collecting the refund.

He wrote; 

"Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu gave me HND admission in Mechatronics Engineering, Dec 2017. Following the steps on the website, I completed full payment hoping to start school in January 2018. On getting there, I realized the department does not exist".

"I wrote the first letter asking for a change of department from Mechatronics Engineering to E/E, the school replied that department cannot be changed in HND, leaving me with no other option than to forfeit the admission, stay at home for another one year and seek fresh admission".

"Feb. 2018, I wrote another letter asking for refund of the total money paid (68,500), since the admission did not work. The school rather approved ONLY 40,000. Well, I accepted and kept checking on the cashier so I can get the 40,000".

"Since February till October, cashier keeps saying, "there's no order to pay yet, we're still waiting for the management". The worst was after I relocated with my family from Enugu to Lagos, I travelled back to Enugu just to follow up on this money, still the "no order yet".

"I have already lost so much; - one full year wasted, I'm currently trying to get admission else where. - on the way returning from Enugu, I was attacked, my laptop and phone taken from me. - I've wasted a lot of money going to the school since February to track the progress".

 "I call on the authorities to assist me get back my complete money. They say they cannot refund the acceptance fees. What exactly did I accept? Admission into a department that does not exist? Even the 40,000, it's been 8 good months, nothing is coming out. Please help me. Thanks".

Congratulations are in order for Chia Diko Detimbir, who will today hold his Passing out Parade, convocation, pipping & presidential commissioning from the Nigerian Defence Academy to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant into the Nigerian Army.

The cadet was 14 years old when he discovered the Nigerian Air Force Dornier 228 aircraft which crashed on the Ngokugh Hills, Mbakunu Shangev -ya local government Area of Benue State, 12 years ago.

On Sunday 17th September 2006, a Nigerian Air Force plane Dornier 228 conveying Senior Military personnel to Obudu for a conference crashed at Ngokugh Hills, Mbakunu Shangev-ya in Kwande LGA of Benue state, killing 13 of the officers while 5 of them were rescued courtesy of a telephone call from the crash site by Chia Diko Detimbir who led a rescue operation that saved the survivors.

Immediately the news of the crash got to the military headquarters, a search and rescue team made up of a military helicopter, and another from the police were dispatched to the scene of the crash.

A member of the House of Assembly in Anambra, Humphrey Chukwuemeka Nsofor, and others were injured following an alleged gunmen attack which caused a chaos during the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) House of representatives primary election conducted earlier today in Imo state. 

According to reports, gunmen allegedly invaded a hotel where the election was held and started shooting sporadically, thereby injuring some persons in the process. 

The former majority leader, Hon. Nsofor, who was among the delegates to monitor the exercise in the state - was hit in the neck by a stray bullet as can be seen in the pictures before he was taken to the hospital.

Two suspects: Emeka Ebunoha and Igwe Obumneme Samuel have been arrested in Port Harcourt for examination fraud.

According to reports, they are a part of an internet syndicate selling leaked examination papers to students sitting for the West African School Certificate Examination, WASCE.

They are also allegedly responsible for leakages of examination papers of the National Examination Council, NECO and the Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB.

The two suspects are allegedly running two websites: www.examsort.com and www.expomata..com and confessed that the websites were created to sell leaked examination questions and answers to students and that they were being paid through payments into their bank accounts or through receipt of recharge cards from students patronising them.

The two suspects would soon be charged to court.

Here is a picture of the young lady who was found murdered in Edo state. The mutilated body of the deceased was found dead some days ago along a bush part along Sapele road, Amagba, Benin, Edo State.

The plank probably used in killing her, was found across her face.

According to reports, the deceased left a baby behind. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unknown, but her bag and perfume were found close to her body.

The beautiful, light-skinned lady was dressed in a dark gown and bright red shoes when she met her unfortunate ending at the hands of men of the underworld.

In a video which circulated online, men who recorded it can be heard saying. “Na hustle the girl hustle.” Nobody knows whether she was truly a hustler, and it is immaterial at this time, but nobody deserves this.

Few hours ago, Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, conceded defeat and congratulated Babajide Sanwo-Olu on his victory at the just-concluded Lagos State governorship primary.  Sanwo-Olu who was endorsed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, polled 970,851 votes ahead of the governor who secured 72,901 votes.

In his address, Ambode said APC is a great party, appealing to residents of the state to give Sanwo-Olu the needed support in the 2019 election.

He also promised to ensure a smooth transition.

Now, Nigerians have recalled and reacted to the alleged incident which happened in 2017 after Ambode's wife was accused of instigating her husband to fire Presiding Chaplain of the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Lagos, after purportedly being ignored during church service. 

The Chaplain, Femi Taiwo who was removed from his post allegedly on the orders of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode after it was alleged that his wife, waited endlessly as she joined a queue to be anointed without any preference accorded her; and that she left the church in anger after been anointed.

Chaplain Taiwo and his family were thrown out of the chapel without mercy within 24 hours after the incident, sparking outrage among Nigerians. 

According to some people, this has been highlighted as one of the merciless sins of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

A 15-year-old girl has been reprimanded for allegedly sleeping with cult boys in Delta state.

According to a report, the teenage girl simply identified as Nancy, a student of Orodje Grammar School in Delta state, is alleged to be notorious for sleeping around with boys including cultists in her area.

According to journalist Sapele Oghenek, the girl whose parents are divorced, is said to be living with her mother and is alleged to be a thorn on her flesh due to her promiscuous way.  

The strict measures taken to stop the girl's wayward lifestyle appear not to be working, hence, the decision to share her story online.

Yesterday, it was revealed that a Toyota Hiace bus was discovered in the same pond where Maj Gen. Idria Nur Alkali’s car and other vehicles were found in Jos, Plateau state.

Another vehicle red saloon car with registration number Bauchi (AG 645 TRR), was also recovered from the old mining pond in Lafendeg, Du District of Plateau’s Jos South Local Government Area of the state.

Missing army general, Alkali’s vehicle was pulled out of the pond nine days after the joint task force constituted by the Chief of Army Staff,  Major-General Tukur Buratai, commenced pumping water from the pond into an opposite one.

The white Toyota Hiace (RYM 307 XA) and its driver allegedly went missing three months ago.

Commander of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) Maj.-Gen. Augustine Agundu, who addressed reporters yesterday at the pond site, allayed fears that the communities would be dealt with after the discoveries.

“There is no need for them to fear. We have recovered the vehicle but we still need to find his body. We were asked to find him dead or alive. The community can tell us where they kept him or his body; we will not stop until we find him or his body,” Akinruluyo said.

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in Benue state, has received the sad news of the demise of one of their members, Rev. Pharmacist. David Gbashi, of Zion Ministries, Katsina Ala, Benue state, who was involved in a fatal motor accident that took his life and five others.

The sad event occurred along Tyowanye town in Buruku local government area of Benue state, on Thursday 27th September 2018.

According to Michael Akor Juku who claimed to have confirmed the report from the investigating police officer, it was alleged that the pastor boarded a red Honda vehicle along with four young men and one elderly man before the fatal accident. 

The cleric went to Adikpo, in Kwande local government area, for a function and was travelling to Otukpo, before the ugly incident.

It was said reported that after the accident, various items such as charms, large sums of money, gun and a bible were found in the car as the corpses of the victims were brought out from the wreckage. 

It was gathered that the four boys alleged to be members of a robbery gang, traveled to Adikpo village, to acquire spiritual powers to fortify themselves as it's been reported that the suspected hoodlums are notorious for robbery operations in their area.

According to reports, all the passengers in the vehicle died on the spot due to the heavy impact of the collision as can be seen in the wreckage of the vehicle he boarded that evening. .

A fake military officer who has been parading himself as colonel for over two years, was arrested by one Capt. Buhari Adamu, yesterday, Saturday 29th September 2018..

The fake army officer was arrested at the operational base of the military at Kada Motels Birnin-Gwari, adjacent Bagoma Dam in Kaduna state, where he has been staying for over two years.

He has since been handed to the Major Muhammad Gana, field command officer in-charge of the area.

The arrested fake military officer is being suspected of working secretly with the bandits terrorising Birnin Gwari and motorists.

A call has been made to the general commanding officer, First Division, whose responsibilities are mainly to fight armed bandits, kidnapping and cattle rustling in Birnin-Gwari General area to look deep and fish out all collaborators of these shameful incident that is capable of tarnishing the image of the military."

Operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), in a joint operation with officers from the Nigeria Police Force, busted a human trafficking gang in the nation's capital, Abuja. During the operation, which took place Thursday night at the Kubwa Axis of Abuja, 11 girls were rescued while 4 suspected human traffickers were arrested.

The Hotel where the girls were harboured: Thales Guest House (A.K.A 33) located at Pipeline Area in Kubwa, Abuja was also sealed up.

The raid followed an intelligence report about the place being used for underage and exploitative prostitution. Intense surveillance was mounted by officers of the Agency which led to the arrest of four suspects: Onyinyechi Osuoha-32 years old, Nkechi Chukwuma- 37years old, Sandra Chi- 32 years old, and 27-year-old Favour James during the raid.

In accordance with sections 43 and 52 of the Trafficking In Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015, which authorises NAPTIP to enter, search and seal up properties suspected to be used for human trafficking purposes, Thales Guest House, Kubwa, was sealed off pending further investigations.

Preliminary findings revealed that the suspects often lure the victims, who are underage girls, from various parts of the country with promises of employment in the Federal Capital Territory. However, upon their arrival at Abuja, they are put to work at the Guest House, serving the clients and thereafter introduced to prostitution, at the end of which the suspects collect the money paid to them.

The Director-General of NAPTIP, Dame Julie Okah-Donli, reacting to the news of the raid and arrests, commended the officers for a smooth operation. She also lauded the collaborative efforts of the Nigeria Police Force, which she described as a “true proof of strong partnership between the two law enforcement organisations, aimed at ridding the society of ills such as this”.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu and others are pictured commiserating at the Defence Intelligent Agency (DIA) Hospital in Abuja with an injured pilot of the Air Force fighter jet which crashed on Katampe hill earlier today.

The pilot is said to be responding to treatment.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the family of the Air Force officer, Sqn Ldr Baba Ari that died at the final rehearsal for the 58th Independence Anniversary.

The President who said that he was saddened by the tragedy also wished the two officers that survived in the crash quick recovery.

Already the remains of the dead officer will be buried today (Friday) about 5:30 pm as the family members including the father and wife have visited his corpse.

Osun state governor; Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the governor-elect, Isiaq Gboyega Oyetola, took the the streets of Osogbo to appreciate the people following the outcome of yesterday's rerun election which favoured the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate.

Some of the residents who trooped out on the streets, hailed them during the victory parade.

This happened today after observing Juma'at Prayer at Osogbo Central Mosque .

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gboyega Oyetola, the winner of the Osun governorship election.

INEC declared Oyetola the winner of the poll after the supplementary election held in seven polling units on Thursday.
