A police van veered off the Eastern bypass Bridge in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital and plunged into a canal. The incident happened early this morning while the officers where allegedly chasing a vehicle believed to be carrying diesel.

Reports have it that no life was lost in the crash but some officers sustained injuries from impact of the fall.

The accident caused a scene in the area of people gathered in their number at the scene.

A Nigerian lady is lucky to be alive after being involved in an armed robbery attack yesterday night. The lady identified as Tessy Osso took to social media to reveal how the men of the underworld left her with a deep cut after using machete on her. She said the hoodlums inflicted the injury on her after they couldn't find anything to steal.

The young lady was rushed for treatment after the scary attack.

She appears to be doing well now (physically), according to information gathered online.

Since President Muhammadu Buhari reportedly made a statement at a Commonwealth event in London, about 60 per cent of Nigerian youths being lazy and entitled people, Nigerians have spilled gallons of ink trying to either prove he is right or wrong.

“More than 60 per cent of the population is below 30, a lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria is an oil producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education free,” president Buhari was quoted as saying during a panel appearance with world leaders at the Commonwealth Business Forum in London last month.

A Facebook user who lives in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state has shared pictures of two billboards that have been erected following the president's controversial comment.

In one of the billboards, the presidency was questioned about the 3 million jobs annually that were promised to the masses.

According to reports, he was attack by some Hausa's hoodlums living in that area. They threw stones at him and they caused a major damage on some government facilities as seen in the pictures below;

Some ladies are yet to learn about the consequence of sending a nude videos to their boyfriends in the name of love because it may backfire in an unexpected way. A young lady who decided to trend that path - has got herself trending online after her unclad video was posted online by her jealous boyfriend.

The Ugandan lady identified as Shamim Mutesi had her nude video released online by one of her aggrieved lovers after she allegedly failed to raise money for him.

The video footage which has gone viral online - was reported to have been posted by her rumored lover who is said to a businessman that deals in clothes in Kampala, the country's capital city.

Some passengers were killed in a fatal motor accident in Marabar Gwanda, Sabon Gari in Kaduna state. According to reports, the accident happened after a car collided with a bus before bursting into flames on the highway. Some passengers had already died before they were rescued by other road users. People of Birnin-Gwari local government area of Kaduna State, where a village was attacked and scores killed on Saturday, said more bodies have been discovered. The Birnin-Gwari people under the auspices of Birnin-Gwari Vanguards for Security and Good Governance said, death toll in the Saturday attack has now risen to over 71.

A journalist, Olatunji Saliu who paid a visit to the scene, narrated his experience. Read below;

Corpses still litter Nigeria's northwestern village of Gwaska attacked by gunmen last Saturday. I've just returned from the place, on an on-the-spot reporting of the incident. I joined the villagers to search for corpses in the thick bushes surrounding the village in Birnin-Gwari area of the northern state of Kaduna. Our team found two corpses during the search. They were quickly buried in shallow graves. We saw dozens of bullet shells, burnt bicycles and mud houses.

At least 73 bodies have been buried so far. Gwaska is a populated village in Birnin-Gwari. It is 291 kilometers away from the Kaduna city center. It has no good road, no school, no fence, no functional health facility, no source of water supply. Most of its dwellers are farmers who go to source for water in other villages to do their farming work, drink, cook and bath.

The place is prone to more attacks, with no presence of security operatives. Only the brave can go to that place without police/military escort. I did. I went there with two other brave colleagues. We're back and happy that we made the trip.

Here's the burial poster of the 50-year-old lawyer, Mr Otike Odibi who was killed by his wife in Diamond Estate, Sango-Tedo area of Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State last week. The wife who is also a lawyer, Mrs Udeme Odibi, allegedly stabbed her husband to death in their apartment.

According to police, the man was found dead on the bed with his stomach ripped open. The killer severed his genital and placed it on his right hand. Source said, the suspect, Mrs Udeme had unsuccessfully attempted to commit suicide after allegedly killing her husband.

She was rushed to the hospital by neighbours where she is currently receiving treatment. Sources further revealed that the couple married 3 years ago after the deceased divorced his first who bore him a daughter presently schooling in UK.

However, the current marriage is said to be without a child. A neighbour revealed that the deceased called him on phone in the night before he was murdered, complaining that the wife was threatening to kill him with a knife. The neighbour said he warned him to be careful.

The deceased was àlso reported to have called his mother and his younger sister complaining of threat to his life that fateful night.

Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha has finally reacted following the chaos caused by factions during the All Progressives Congress, APC, ward congresses in Imo state yesterday.

The governor who met with president Muhammadu Buhari today in Daura, Katsina state - has directed the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Chris Ezike to charge the arrested members of the Congress Committee in connection with the missing materials.

Following the missing of the Sensitive materials for the Saturday, May 5, 2018 Ward Congresses of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State, the governor and Chief Security Officer of the State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has directed the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Chris Ezike to charge members of the Congress Committee arrested in connection with the missing materials to Court without delay preferably on Monday, May 7, 2018.

The governor also charged the Police in the State to set every machinery in motion for the arrest and prosecution of the man at the Centre of the ugly incident, Mr. Ini Okori, who escaped at the residence of the National Organizing Secretary of APC, Chief Osita Izunaso.

The governor equally expressed regret over the dishonourable role of Senator Izunaso who was not able to divorce his local and personal Political interests or pursuits from his official responsibilities as the National Organizing Secretary of a National Party like APC.

The governor noted that if not that he played his role as a governor and as a father, to manage the situation, the unfortunate role of these people would have thrown the State into a very big crisis which nobody would have been in a position to imagine its outcome.

He remarked that, for the Organizing Secretary of the Party Chief Izunaso to be arguing with Mr. Ini, originally sent for the conduct of the Congresses, over who among themselves, was in custody of the Congress sensitive materials in question was quite despicable. And it showed they never wanted the Congress to be successful abinitio.

It is also important to point out here that those who never believed that APC had prospect at the initial stage and who called Governor Rochas Okorocha all sorts of names including Alhaji in Government House and Okoro-Hausa must not be allowed to disturb the peace of APC in the State.

The governor reiterated his appeal to members of the Party in the State to remain calm and ensure peace and assured that the anomalies would be corrected and the Ward Congress in the State, will hold accordingly.

A woman who went on a stealing spree - got more than she expected after she was allegedly caught in the act. It was gathered that the woman stole eight chickens at a market in Benin city, Edo state before she was reportedly apprehended.

The angry mob decided to humiliate her in public as they stripped her unclad and paraded her round the market to serve as a deterrent to others.

The new headquarters of Deeper Life Bible Church at Gbagada, Lagos was commissioned by the church on Tuesday, April 24. The 30,000-capacity church project constructed by Cappa and D’alberto was begun in 2003 and had been under construction for about 15 years.

Pictures of the female sound engineer, Adedunke Onibokun, who was behind the powerful sound of the ultramodern Deeper Life Building - have been trending online to show how dedicated and committed she is to her work.

The Gbagada project, as it is widely called by members of the church, is estimated to be valued over N5 billion (about $16 million) and is believed to be the fourth-largest church auditorium in the world.

The church commissioning saw Vice president; Yemi Osinbajo, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and other dignitaries in attendance.

A vehicle transporting people from Makurdi to Naka in Gwer loal government area of Benue State, was attacked yesterday by unknown gunmen ALLEGED to be Fulani herdsmen who opened fire on the vehicle and its passengers.. One of the passengers was killed by a bullet and a young lady was hit by a bullet.

According to reports, the injured lady is a newly married wife from Plateau state who was said to be traveling to Naka for the first time to meet her husband's people.

A young man filled with appreciation - took to social media to thank God after being involved in a serious accident allegedly caused by stray cows from Fulani herdsmen in Adamawa state. The man who traveled from the eastern part of the country - said he journeyed for two days to Adamawa as the 'enemy' wanted to take their lives.

The cattle reportedly came out from nowhere before they were hit by the luxurious bus in an accident which killed some cows and saw the vehicle partly damaged.
