The Anambra State Police Command has busted an 11-man car snatching syndicate operating in the state. Commissioner of police in the state, Mr. Garba Umar, who paraded the suspects, said it recovered 11 exotic cars of various brands which were disposesed from their owners at gunpoint by the suspects.

The cars included various choice cars, ranging from Lexus, Mercedes Benz and Toyota products among others, most of which were sports utility vehicles(SUVs).

The commissioner, who paraded the suspects at the state police command headquatres, Amawbia said the command had to redouble its efforts in protecting the lives and property of the people of the state following increasing incidences of car theft and snatching.

Others arrested for the same offence were Johnson Aerfa,Chibueze Ebenyi of Usho village, Ondo State, who was said to be the sponsor of the gang, as well as Chibuike Ugwu.

Meanwhile, on 22nd April, 2018, combined team of the Command and team of National Task Force on Importation/Manufacturing of Fake/Adulterated/Substandard Drugs/goods searched and recovered various quantities of suspected adulterated/expired drugs in a ware-house being owned by Odesco Pharmaceutical Industries Nig.Ltd and OGB Frank Industry Ltd situated at Ideke village Iyiowa Odekpe in Ogbaru L.G.A. of Anambra State.

Suspect would be charge to court for prosecution at the end of investigation.

Yesterday a young lady allegedly ran mad in one of the popular Owerri streets, Ikenegbu to be precise. It was alleged that some men used her for rituals and dropped her at the street along Kilimanjaro fast food and restaurant.

She was however seen roaming on the streets utterly naked, as people were taking pictures and videos of her.

This happened around 9:00pm, nobody was there to help or identify her. She was later but identified bysome members of Salvation Ministries Ikenegbu, Owerri, who came to her aide.

Just after the youth meeting this evening a young lady was dropped off from a flashy car half dead and she woke up immediately mad and was roaming the street of ikenegbu close to salvation ministries and she was rushed into salvation ministries church ikenegbu satellite church were prayers were made and the mantle from the youth meeting impartation was placed on her and after 20min she was totally restored and back to sanity. As part of efforts of the Nigerian Army to rid Benue State of criminal elements, yesterday 27 April 2018, combined troops of 707 Special Forces Brigade, Nigeria Police and the Department of State Security Services in Makurdi have arrested a key Boko Haram suspect known as Aminu Yaminu nicknamed Tashaku who is believed to have masterminded most of the recent attacks in Benue State.

Following an intelligence report, it was gathered that AMINU has concluded plans with his cohorts in Bauchi, Borno, Yobe and Nasarawa states to launch a major attack on innocent citizens in Benue State.

A food seller was left heartbroken and in tears after being accused of water from mortuary to cook food at the Federal Polytechnic Oko in Anambra state. A journalist, Ngwu Victor Bright, paid the distressed woman a visit and consoled her over what he labelled a rumor to tarnish her image.

This woman here is called NWANYI NANKA, every Staffs and students in Fed Poly Oko know what am saying. She sell foods like Rice,Beans,Plantain,Meat etc. She cooks like three coolers of rice every day but finish selling before 2 pm.

WHAT MADE HER FOOD OUTSTANDING? Nwanyi Nanka is a very jovial and neat woman, she serves food as mothers serves food for their children, the meat she serves is so sizeable that it can make three meats compare to other sellers. She even sells on credit to students whom she know can not afford it at that moment. These features made her very outstanding more than any other seller and these brought jealousy and envy among her co food sellers. Some lecturers can not settle down without demanding for her food including students.

Just about two days ago some students were paid to tarnish her image ,they went to social media proclaiming that some group of Police invaded school and arrested Nwanyi Nanka for using water from mortuary to cook , they added that it has been confirmed fact.

When i saw this on Facebook and WhatsApp, I couldn't believe it, as a certified journalist I had to wait till the next morning and I called one of my students and asked her to check if Nwanyi Nanka is at her shop, she confirmed that she was there but added she has been crying since morning because she came to sell as usual not knowing what people have done with her name ,students gathered in ewe watching her as a thief just for her to discovered what her enemies have done with her name.

I spoke with her and consoled her also but why on earth will someone be so wicked to tarnish someones hard earned reputation.. This world is so cruel and some students including some mass com students who are supposed to verify the rumors couldn't wait for verification instead they started broadcasting and feeding people with fallacy .

This in journalism is called defamation and a very punishable offence. PLEASE DON'T ALWAYS JUMP INTO CONCLUSION, ALWAYS VERIFY EVERY INFORMATION. THANKS.

The operatives of Rapid Response Squad have arrested four suspects in Ondo, Edo and Osun States for retailing leaked WASSCE May/June, 2018 Examination question papers on websites and whatsapps platforms.

The suspects namely; Samuel Kayode, 28-year-old from Ondo State, Adebayo Ifeoluwa, 17-year-old from Osun State, Alayande Ahmed and Elusode Festus, 20 years from Edo State were all arrested in their respective states. Samuel Kayode, a part time teacher in two secondary schools based in Ilesa, disclosed that he also taught Physics and Mathematics in a private tutorial class where he assisted candidates who are planning to write the WASSCE examination with questions and already prepared answers for the candidates.

According to Samuel, after working as a tutorial teacher for seven years, he got a part-time employment in two private schools in Ilesa, Osun State, where he also helped students preparing for WASSCE with leaked questions and prepared answers, adding that he did this to make a living.

“I got a part-time teaching job when I couldn’t secure a Government teaching job after graduating for NCE and couldn’t settle for the little salary I’m been paid by my employers, so I decided to help myself with what I have been doing as a tutorial teacher by helping lazy students source for WASSCE examination question and answer via some online platforms that deal in the illegal business.

After registering candidates in their various centers, I then liaise with some anonymous people who we call ‘Web Masters’. The Web Masters have insiders in various examination boards in the country with leaked questions paper and buy such from them”, he explained.

“There are many websites operated by the Web Masters, where leaked WASSCE questions and prepared answers are sold to subscribing candidates. Some of these websites include; www.examloaded.com, www.guruscamp.com, www. ceebook.net, www. Solutionclass.com and www.expotab.com.

They also hawk NECO, GCE and JAMB examinations papers with answers”, he stated.

He explained further, “the contact person on Web master is called ‘Dan’ who doesn’t pick calls but only deal on text messages and WhatsApp messages. Mr. Dan usually sell answers via WhatsApp or issues a quick login password that can be issued on the website and immediately redirect the user to the page where the already prepared answers are.

I then retail the answers have bought from Mr. Dan to candidate customers who I coordinate carefully on a WhatsApp platform named ‘WAEC VIP’ where candidates waits patiently to receive the answers to the question after sending to me a #400 recharge cards of any network.

I demand for N400 recharge card from candidate for general subject while I charge N800 for Mathematics and English language”

In his own confession, Adebayo Ifeoluwa, 17 years and 200 level Accounting student of the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA said he sold leaked WASSCE examination questions and answers to a group on WhatsApp called ‘MCC’ where candidates payed a recharge card of N400 to get examination questions and answers.

“Sometime this year, just before the on-going WASSCE examination, I belong to a sports betting WhatsApp group where we forecast for games. One of the member therein sent a broadcast about how to get WASSCE questions and left a WhatsApp link which I joined before thinking of creating my own ‘MCC’ after a thoughtful assumption of how profitable the venture looks”.

Also, Elusode Festus from Ekpoma in Edo State failed school certificate examination before becoming an apprentice at a Welding and metal fabrication shop, also chose the retailing of leaked WASSCE question and answer as a side hustle.

The 22 year Elusode said he got to know about the deal on a website where he downloaded songs before a pop asking if you want to receive exam result, click here which he did and dully registered so as to start the retailing of the answers among candidates in the area.

On his own part, Alayande Ahmad, said “I got to know about WASSCE questions and answers racketeering on a website after dropping out of secondary at SS2 due to lack of funds but I promised to assist my friends who were preparing to sit for WASSCE at all cost.

I contacted an admin on a WhatsApp group where answers were being sold to candidates who registered with him after sending to him a N400 recharge card. The subscribers receive questions and answers few hours before their examination”.

Parading the suspect, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal advised parents to monitor their wards preparation for examination instead of indulging them in examination malpractices.

The suspects have been transferred to the State CID for further investigations.

Today, I matriculated. Seven years after leaving high school. Most of my mates have served and some bagging their Master degree, and some even done with it.But today I am matriculating.

Do I feel bad? Unaccomplished?

NO.Why?

Because I understand the concept of personal timing. Barack Obama became president in his 40’s. Trump became president in his 60's. It's makes no sense to compare yourself with people who have different timelines. We are five hours ahead of some countries, doesn't mean they won't experience the new day we are in.Besides, your mates might have what you lack, but you also have what they lack.

I just matriculated, but I have had a promising and uprising brand as a motivational speaker and life coach, and writer. Sometimes I've had to coach some graduates.

In essence, we have specific times. You might get into the varsity after 10 years of leaving high school, but in that ten years you got a job that your mate who got into school earlier might not have even after graduating.Your mates are married? Some of them don't have kids for 7 years of marriage, but you just got married and the next year you have a baby..

You see?

In the absence of what your mates have, there's a presence of something they don't have. You have pride in your time.The sun shines at day, doesn't mean the moon won't shine by night.

I have never regretted my life or ever felt like I'm unaccomplished because of the feats of my mates. Because I know who I am. I measure my life with God's time.

In his time, he makes all things beautiful. Not in the time of your agemate or classmate.

For me, there couldn't have been a better time to matriculate than now! See your blessings that way. They never come late, they come just at when it was purposed to come, and you'll lead a happy life. No blessing is ever late. Society might make it seem late, but God gives at the appointed time.

Governor David Umahi has ordered for immediate arrest of the policeman attached to the Ebonyi State Anti Kidnap Squad over the death of a commercial motorcycle operator, popularly known as Okada in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital.

The Governor who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel Uzor described the incident as barbaric and calous and expressed confidence that justice will be done in the killing of the deceased.

He said the incident has further called for more dedication, commitment and professional training for the country's security personnel to stop further killings of innocent Nigerians on the line of their duties and assured that he would take up the matter to the Inspector General of Police to ensure that the trigger happy policeman who shot and killed the boy is punished inline with the rule of his engagement.

Umahi warned that his administration will not tolerate any form of killing of innocent citizens or extra judicial killing by the security agencies and ordered the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr Titus Lamorde to arrest the trigger happy policeman who shot the decaesed and other members of the team to face full weight of the law.

While expressing his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, Governor Umahi promised to visit the family when full information concerning his family is made available and called on the public to remain calm as the situation was already under control and never to resort to taking laws into their hands.

A young man in his early 20s whose identity was not yet known at the time of this report was allegedly shot dead by policemen attached to Anti Kidnap squad, Ak of Ebonyi State police command along Water Works road, Abakaliki.

He was shot and killed on Wednesday night for allegedly refusing to give a bribe of N50 bribe.

The federal government has got to take this senseless killings serious and find a way to curb the growing menace. Just a day after 2 priests and other worshipers were killed by Fulani herdsmen at a Catholic Church in Ayar community of Gwer-East Local Government Area in Benue state, another tragic event has occurred.

On the 25/4/2018, there was a heavy attack in Ali Agudu village, Mbawa council ward, GUMA LGA, Benue State and over 20 persons killed by Fulani herdsmen militia. The corpses have been deposited at Daudu Mortuary.

A man was visibly overjoyed after undergoing a surgery to correct a huge tumor on his face. According to reports, the growth started as a minor flesh wound after a motorcycle accident 15 years ago, which later developed into a keloid tumor that took over Leon's life.

The man is still recuperating from the successful surgery as he's been given a reason to smile again.

A lady has revealed what she passed through to rescue some accident victims earlier today at Obalende area of Lagos state. The kind-hearted lady identified as Amaka Chukwunyere who accompanied the injured in an ambulance to the hospital - took to social media to share her ordeal.

Below is what she wrote on Facebook.

This Accident happened today at Obalende bridge. I was going somewhere in Obalende when we saw people trying to bring out this guy from under his bus, his colleague, and the other Man stucked in his Car. Our bus driver stopped and i came down and was speechless. The guy lying on the floor had a fractured leg, and his fingers were badly fractured too, with several injuries, and he was just bleeding.

we tried calling Emergency service but all to no avail. As God will have it, an ambulance was passing by and we begged him to stop and render help. He said thats not how they operate that someone must follow him to the hospital.

People where scared because the guy cud die and another wahala fit come up from there. The victims were really in pain and that guy was losing blood. I had to tell him i wud go with him if dats wats gonna take for them to be taken to the hospital. I went with them and i was praying that nothing shud happen because the bleeding was much. His blood was just dripping all over my legs...

They were taken to the Emergency unit. The Man dat hit them is still in shock and trembling , and crying that the car is his only means of survival. While the other two guys are in the Emergency room. I pray nothing shud happen to them. I just left the hospital and seriously i think am trebbling too. May God help us in this country.

This is very sad...talking about the lengths people go just because of politics. An obituary banner was designed for the ''burial'' of senate president, Bukola Saraki over the suspension of senator Ovie Omo-Agege representing Delta Central at the National Assembly.

The banner which was purportedly designed by some constituents in Delta state - was done to announce the political death of the senate president for ''conspiring'' against their lawmaker to suspend him as they held a 'burial' for him (Saraki) few days ago in Abraka.

Meanwhile, contrary to belief in some quarters that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege was suspended over his opposition to the election reordering bill, Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, has said the senator representing Delta Central was sanctioned for taking the Senate to court.

Taking the Senate to court, according to Saraki, smacks of gross indiscipline, which should not be condoned by the upper chamber. Omo-Agege, who was billed to appear before the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions over his comments on the amendment of Electoral Act, 2018, had sued the Senate in a bid to stop his appearance.

Here are graphic pictures of a man and his wife who were among victims killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen recently in Benue state.

Meanwhile, Fulani herdsmen have killed at least 17 people in an early morning attack on a Catholic Church in Benue State. The attack occurred in Ayar-Mbalom, a community in Gwer East Local Government Area.

The attack came barely four days after the murder of ten persons by herdsmen in Guma Local Government Area and the destruction of several houses by men suspected to be military personnel in Naka, Gwer West Local Government Area of the state.

Most of the victims were attacked while coming from morning mass.
