A Nigerian man has taken to social media to reveal his displeasure after being denied the Holy Communion because of his beard. According to the heartbroken man identified as Chuka Amadiume, this happened recently at an Anglican church despite his insistence.

He shared the news on his social media page. Read below;

Two days ago, i went for Holy Communion at an Anglican church in Nigeria.I received a shocker!

The Venerable aka the Pastor aka the Archdeacon told me i would not be given the " bread & wine " because i had a beard!I insisted and was given, i left really heartbroken!

Did a little research and came up with these findings proving that most of the great Christians in the Bible had beards;

1) Leveticus 19 vs 27

2) Psalm 133

3) 2nd Samuel 10 vs 5

4) 1st Samuel 21 vs 13

5) Ezekiel 5 vs 1

6) Ezra 9 vs 3

7) Isaiah 50 vs 6

My question is

a) Did "Jesus Christ" have a beard?

b) Was it ever written in the bible that i will not make heaven if i have a beard?

An On-Air-Personality and broadcaster based in Warri, Delta state is lucky to be alive following a freak motor accident which happened yesterday morning. A fuel tanker loaded with petrol climbed over his car with an extra passenger inside and totally destroyed it.

The two car occupants miraculously came out totally unhurt from the accident as he ascribed his survival to God.

Oghenero Genza took to Facebook to share the good news. Read below;

Various Nigerians who are currently detained in prison in Kenya are calling on the federal government to come to their aid. According to reports, some of the inmates are being held in custody over minor offences.

Prince Gwamnishu Harrison, the CEO Behind Bars Initiative who is currently in Nairobi, the cuntry's capital - paid a visit to the prisoners who narrated their ordeals.

Today 8th March, 2018, I rounded up my "Prison Fame Project" (Season One) in Kenya. I felt it will be unjust to come back to Nigeria without facilitating the release of young Nigerians languishing behind bars. Among all that i screened, only one got my attention but others deserved our mercy.

Alexander Onyia from Onicha Uchie Ndokwa East L.G.A Delta State went to the police station and pleaded to them to help deport him back to Nigeria that he can't afford to purchase his flight ticket and his passport Visa will expire in few weeks. Alexander said he was detained and sent to Prison. (short Video clip attached).

For me to secure their release (16 Inmates), I will have to pay close to 32,000 Kenyan shillings (One Hundred and Six Thousand Naira- N106,000.

Do you have anyone in Government who can help facilitate Alexander deportation and others who have Visa issues?

There was pandemonium yesterday at St. Micheals Catholic Church, Ngwoma, Owerri North LGA of Imo State during the burial of Late Mrs Mbata, mother of the Pro-Chancellor of Imo State University, Owerri, Chief Alex Mbata.

According to multiple reports, the Leadership of Ugwumba Movement, a political structure campaigning for the 2019 Governorship ambition of Imo State Governor's Son-in-law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu led by Mr Jeff Nwaoha, Chairman Imo State ENTRACO yesterday reportedly attacked a popular Catholic Archbishop, AJV Obinna during the church event.

Reports have it that the Archbishop AJV Obinna escaped the attack with the help of Catholic Priests, Knights of the Catholic Church and Christian fathers, who barricaded and shielded the Archbishop from being beating up, after rain of abuse and insults to the Archbishop by the alleged attacker.

The Chief mourner, Sir Alex Mbata, the Pro-Chancellor of Imo State University was shocked watching Imo State Chief of Staff, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu and the wife of the governor, Nneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha seating in church front row watching their supporters abuse the most revered Catholic Archbishop, desecrating both the alter of God and the dead body of his late mother without calling them to order, according to a report by IfeanyiCy Njoku.

According to IfeanyiCy Njoku, the problem allegedly started when the Catholic Archdiocese, during commendation service admonished people to go out and get their permanent Voters Card (PVC) and vote wisely in the 2019 general election. He complained about bad roads in the state insisting that despite the ministry of happiness Imolites cannot be happy with bad road. An APC chieftain reportedly took microphone from him to defend the government. A PDP follower also came and called for change from APC misrule.

It was at that point Jeff and his thugs rushed to the alter to take the microphone from the Archbishop who withdrew to his seat and priests and Christian fathers struggled to keep them out. Uche Nwosu and Nkechi Okorocha sat there watching the spectacle without stopping Jeff as Jeff pointed at Archbishop in the face and rained insults on him as the service went on.

A journalist who works NTA Network in Lagos - was happy to be reunited with her first date after he visited her at her place of work today. According to her, she had her official first date at the age of 16 which was later disrupted by her siblings.

The man identified as Wilson paid her a visit as he arrived the country from London earlier today after many years of not seeing each other.

A young boy has landed in a hospital in Kaduna state following alleged maltreatment by his father. According to reports, the boy was brutalized with a cutlass by his father as a punishment for his undisclosed offence. A man has revealed his shock after he spotted a veteran sports journalist, Mr Joy Baff who once worked with Rivers State Television RSTV. The London trained journalist who made name for himself in sports journalism in both Bayelsa and Rivers state - was seen in a very pathetic state at a motor park in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.

Ayibakipreye Solomon Suobo who met the old man in the park, shared his sad story online as he called for other journalist to come to his aid.

Two Hyena poachers arrested last week by vigilant rangers in Yankari Game Reserve in Bauchi state. The two men were reportedly caught tracking hyena footprints back to their den. According to reports, these poachers are specialized in capturing live hyenas which are then sold to local circuses. They are currently awaiting trial.

Pastor Chidiebere Okoroafor who murdered three of his church members and unborn child has been remanded in prison custody in Rivers state after admitting to the crime and pleading guilty to all three count charges.

The Senior Pastor of a new generation church, Alter of Grace Ministries, Pastor Chidiebere Okoroafor who hails from Arochukwu in Abia State - was arrested for allegedly killing three people, including two pregnant women and an infant in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State - in a bid to hide his alleged amorous relationship with a 25-year-old member of his church.

Those allegedly killed by the cleric are Concilia Ezeawa and Uluoma Onweagba, who was carrying a five-month pregnancy before her death. While the cleric strangled Ezeawa in an uncompleted building, the pregnant Onweagba was killed in a bush during the serial murder that happened on December 11, 2017.

Okoroafor allegedly took advantage of the trust the two members of his church had in him to lure them to an uncompleted building and inside the bush respectively, before killing them.

The Rapid Response Squad of Ogun Area Command based on credible intelligence intercepted four bales of second clothing/shoes suspected to have been use to conceal compressed packs of cannabis sativa (Indian Hemp) at Ihunbo-Okeodon creeks along Idiroko road. Upon thorough examination, forty two (42) compressed book packs and eighty eight (88) coconut packs of Cannabis Sativa (popularly known as Indian hemp) were uncovered.

To this end, the Customs Area Controller (Comptroller Sani Madugu) directed the seizing Officer to immediately handover the said items to NDLEA Idiroko Command for investigation, in line with the existing cordial relationship and synergy between sister security agencies working in the border.

Furthermore, the NDLEA Idiroko Special Command field tested the aforementioned items using the United Nations Test Kit and affirmed that the items were positive for Cannabis Sativa and weighed seventy seven (77) Kilograms.

A woman couldn't contain her excitement after undergoing a successful surgery to remove a big tumor on her hand. According to reports, the woman who had 10lb Lipoma tumor - spent almost 10 years hiding the huge tumor under her clothes.

The woman was thrilled after the three-hour surgery which saw the abnormal growth removed.

According to Africa Mercy, the woman said after the surgery; “I am so thrilled to be out of surgery and I can barely believe it... my arm is so light!"

An unhappy wife from Delta state has revealed how her husband who is from Edo state allegedly used diabolical means 'Juju' to search for N2,000 she took from his pocket. According to the lady who accused her husband of cheating on her, the man went to a native doctor to look for the N2000 after it went missing as he was told that his wife took the money.

After she was accosted and almost thrown out of the house by the angry husband, the woman begged for forgiveness.

The woman also accused the man of beating her mercilessly multiple times over trivial issues.

She narrated her ordeal to human rights activist, Emeka Ugwuonye who shared the story online.

A suspected thief was severely death with after a failed robbery operation at a house in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital. According to reports, the young man allegedly came with his gang members to rob a compound last week - only for him to return again some days later for a solo operation. This time around, he was caught red-handed by sharp residents.

The suspect was beaten after being tied up and forced into the boot of a car where he was taken to a police station.

The family of late Sergeant Chukwudi Iboko who was killed in a Zenith bank robbery last year on Wetheral Road, Owerri in Imo state - has been given a reason to smile again. According to reports, about eight million naira was raised for the family of the late police officer at the 15th Sun Awards, held at the Expo Convention Centre of Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos on Saturday.

For the deceased's rare display of bravery, he was bestowed with the Hero of the Year award. The late sergeant Chikwudi Iboko received a posthumous award as the management of Sun Newspaper gave N300,000 to his widow.

His seven children were also offered scholarships up to the university level by the management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The family got N500K from the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus on behalf of the party and donations from other well meaning citizens.

The cop lost his life after confronting a four-man gang in a gun battle, which was captured on a Closed Circuit Television camera.

In a video posted online, the victim could be seen firing at the robbers before running out of a security post.

He was reported to have been injured during the incident and was admitted to a hospital where he died the following day.
