I was expecting Gazuzz to post a message blasting the person who made this post.

So this news is true. Damn! Life!

Even though we never met, I spoke to Gazuzz on the phone. He was so knowledgeable about automobiles. He helped me figure out some car related issues.

So sad that such a vibrant young man has died.

Rest in power Gazuzz.

Mankind2024:
My Journey to Becoming a Billionaire: A Strategic Investment Plan without Relying on Luck
As I embark on this ambitious journey, I am driven by a clear vision: to become a billionaire by 2030 through strategic planning and hard work without relying on luck. My strategy is built around the principles of SMART(Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) goal setting and a deep understanding of the Tony Elumelu listed companies and investment ecosystem. My focus is on long-term growth, reinvestment, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
I firmly believe that slow and steady wins the race. With a well-planned approach and consistent execution, I am confident that my investments will yield substantial returns over time.
My current investment portfolio within the Tony Elumelu Ecosystem.

1. United Bank for Africa (UBA): My goal is to acquire 5 million units, with a current holding of 500k units.
2. UCAP Plc: I aim to own 5 million units, currently holding 1,020,000 units after the recent bonus issue.
3. Afriprudential: My target is to acquire 5 million units, with a current holding of 600,000 units.
4. Transpower: I aim to own 100,000 units, with a current holding of 30,000 units.
5. Transcorp plc current holding 1.8M units, sold some units at decent profit, proceed reinvested within the ecosystem, My new target is 5M units,
Transcorp Hotels. 0 units, regrettably sold all off after 650% gain on investments of N545,000. proceed reinvested in the ecosystem.

Investment Strategy:

- Reinvest all dividends earned within the ecosystem to maximize compounding returns.
- Regularly monitor and adjust my portfolio to ensure alignment with my goals.
- Leverage the expertise and resources within the Tony Elumelu ecosystem to inform my investment decisions.

By 2030, I am confident that my portfolio will have grown exponentially, positioning me for billionaire status. My determination to follow in the footsteps of Tony Elumelu, a renowned entrepreneur and tortoise investor, drives me to work tirelessly towards this goal.

As I embark on this journey, I am mindful of the importance of discipline, patience, and perseverance. I am committed to staying focused and adapting to market fluctuations, always keeping my eyes on the prize.

With a clear plan, a strong work ethic, and a bit of divine guidance, I am confident that I will achieve my goal and join the ranks of the world's billionaires by 2030.

Slow and steady wins the race. I am in this for the long haul, and I am ready to put in the time and effort required to achieve my vision.

So help me, God.

This vision board resonates with me.
One quick question though. Joining the world's billionaires by 2030...are you referring to dollar or naira billionaires?

People honestly don't get it,
Am not saying am a victim, I was already depressed before meeting, I was a minor, told him all I went through as a child, he took advantage of me and did all he wanted to
I haven't even said all he did
He raped me several times, beat me, stole from me while all I did was help him

So no he is not the reason am talking my life
But for adding to my pain, he has to follow me
Today is the day, I feel so free
I thought I will feel scared or something
But nop I feel Happy strangely

I sent him 20k through POS anonymously
I really want him to life it up
Today he goes

So am not a victim, because am strong
Am a warrior but this fight called life isn't for all I wanted was to be loved but people just keep taking advantage of me
So have decided to leave, I feel death will be more peaceful than this

So nobody should ever call me a victim
Because am not, never was and never will be

Today is going to be a good day
I already bought a beautiful dress
This morning am going to eat my favorite food
Dance to my favorite music

Have already paid both people that will do the job
He will surely go to his creator by my hands
Then I will follow him

To girls, don't be like me
Always put urself first

Third to the last paragraph made me realise that this is just content.
" Paid people?" Yeah right.
If you still want to insist that you are right share some details that will give us a clue when the incident gets to the mainstream media that it was you and your man who died.

Sorry about that. I buy the serpentine belt tensioner BRAND NEW, from Utako spare parts market just after Chisco park. Dont buy Belgium. Doesn't last. Then buy original belt. Get an experienced mechanic to fix it for you. Ensure the get the right tension on it. It lasts for over 6 to 8 months before it may start getting weak.

Mister man, why did you marry a woman you do not like and respect? Why?

You practically hate her now.

See the way you are talking to her. Some people treat their dogs better than you are treating her. Why won't she get angry.

Anyways if you have any brain matter in your skull just know that if anything should happen to that woman or the child in her womb due to your hard heartnedness and vile anger, she will end you. Even if she dies, her spirit will torture you till you join them.

If you love yourself, you had better find a way of chilling out and pampering that woman till she is okay. If you want to leave her after then, it's up to you.

You are a narcissistic idiot to even bring it here thinking people are going to support you. Believe me, if any of her family members see this post and something later happens to her you are a goner.

I hope you don't get away with treating someone child like this. Useless demonic imp

Politics / Re: President Misinformed You, No Agreement On New Minimum Wage Yet – NLC by Bonjovi13: 6:50am On Jun 13
Adblg0610:
What I think Tinubu intends to do is to decentralize the National minimum wage by transmitting an executive bill to the National Assembly.
When the bill is passed and signed, each state will have the freedom to determine what it can afford to pay .
This would naturally catch organized labour unawares but it would also end the seemingly endless agitation for a single National minimum wage.

Could you expatiate further? Is the President going to sign an Act that is silent on an exact amount that a worker would be paid? How would it work since the National Miminum Wage Act is primarily aimed at designating a particular amount as the national minimum wage.

Furthermore a Bill once signed into law, binds all federating units (States). The entire provisions are binding on each states.

Decentralisation of a minimum wage would only work if each state was empowered to enact a State Minimum Wage Bill.Meaning that the State Assembly of each state would be empowered to legislate a State Minimum Wage Law. But unfortunately that is not the case.
The responsibility of declaring a National minimum wage is the exclusive preserve of the Federal Government.

Specifically, Item 34 of the Exclusive Legislative List contained in the Second Schedule to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As Amended)

So it is impossible for Labour to be caught unawares by that action. The NLC knows that it is an impossibility under the current Nigerian legal regime. Smart and experienced guys we ve got there.

Hopefully you get it.

Bonjovi13, who is the God and how does one find him?

If this is not a cynical question then I will be glad to introduce you to your creator.
He is God, creator and ruler of the known and unknown worlds.

He is almighty, all knowing and omnipotent. He has no beginning and will have no end. He created time and has eternity in His palms. He is self existing. He created the all the forces of nature and can control them.

Inspite of all of this He choose to live in the hearts of anyone who accepts Him through His Holy Spirit.

How do you find Him? If you desire to know Him with all your heart, call out to Him and His son Jesus the Christ and He will answer you and make Himself known to you. If you draw near to Him,He will draw near to you. He has also revealed Himself through His word, ie the Bible. Read it with an open mind eagerly expecting to learn and He will show you mysteries that will transform your life.

The first thing you will find is that your life has meaning and purpose. He will then give you peace and rest of mind. He will then break all your addictions and begin to.clean up your life. Then you will begin to experience progress in your life till you and others can't recognise you again.

Hey Man
Don't be so melancholic and pessimistic.
As much as I get where you are coming from, you can't help yourself and anyone if you believe that its all sadness and gloom.

I agree with you that African leaders have failed us. Is it there fault really? I would say partly but not entirely. Lemme explain

The African leaders that were met by the early white men, were born in an era where the dominance and civilisation of Africa had waned.
For hundreds of years, Africa lost her civilisation and returned to voodoo and spiritism. Due to innate fear and insecurities they courted and indulged their basic instincts.

They only wanted to fight and
conquer their fellow Africans. Same kind of fear we see today in Africa. The fear of poverty and FOMO that inspires the basic
instincts of Africans to do anything to escape and acquire and acquire.

Back to our fathers. Our early fathers were at the lowest ebb of their lives, creativity , resourcefulness and educational enlightenment were limited only to their bloothirst.

Enter the white man, with their sophistication, civilisation and the shiny evidences of their creativity. No one needed to tell our fathers that these white men had something that they didn't have. Their ships, weapons of war, household equipments and even their methods of farming, medicine were different but effective.

But perhaps the most impressive for our fathers was the weapons of warfare and the effectiveness of the gun.

As soon as the white man showed superiority in that very area of war and bloodletting that our fathers had majored in, they bowed and submitted to the white man. Infact most saw and took the white man as gods.

All the gods, beliefs and things our fathers believed in had failed and they had experienced the superiority of the white man's magic.

As with any war, whether physical or psychological, to the winners belongs the spoils.

Whilst our fathers were busy trying to assimilate and become the white man, the white man was busy studying our fathers, their medicine, their voodoo, their psychology and everything else in between.

Then they began the indoctrination of Africa
First they made Africa believe that their belief system was outdated, their science was flawed. Their gods were not powerful and was actually demonic even the ones who served and worshipped the good and benevolent creator God.

Then they began to replace their educational structures and methods. Thought them their own maths and English. Thought them their own laws and gave them their own calendar
You know the rest.

But perhaps the worst thing that the west thought our fathers was adoration of the white man,the love of the white man's money and the dependence on the white man's validation.

These have not left us till today. Our African fathers would do anything, sell our resources and heritage just to acquire the white man's money, receive the approval and validation of the white man. The white man only has to reform their structures but its basically the same.IMF, the World Bank, Central Banks, DFIDs and all the development agencies of the West with deep tentacles in Africa. It has remained the same.

With the humongous resources and wealth they have stolen from Africa, the white men can pull so much strings in Africa. Spin the narratives, install and change Presidents that have desired to change the status quo( Ghadafi etc and assassinated people who have fought for Africa.

Enter 2024, the biggest fear of the white man is the youths of Africa. We know what out fathers didn't know. That the white man is a scam,a thief and a magician. He is not superior to us. We can and will beat them on any level.

So what do they do? They use our governments to keep us down. When a man is in survival mode, what can he do? He is only concerned about how to meet his basic needs. He cannot think of higher ideals.

See how Nigerians do well when they are in saner climes but same Nigerians struggle to survive in Nigeria. That is proof that you are not flawed. It is the system that keeps you frustrated. I could go on and on.
.

Solution. Find and hold onto the source of life, wisdom and wealth..that is God. Find him for He is the source of life. Africa had civilisation when they were with God. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin destroys them.

He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him. I'm talking about God not as a Christian or denominational God.

No, I am taking about finding God as the supreme being who rules in the affairs of men. As soon as a man or nation finds God and applies His principles, they will not fail to rise and experience all round prosperity .

I am talking from personal experience. Where I am today, no one would have thought it possible cos I didn't have the connections, the pedigree. But as I applied God's principles for myself. Not because of a church. As I knew God perdo, He lifted and is lifting me up.

So yeah, the destiny solution for Africa is finding itself and it can only be within the confines of a divine and God giving purpose.

Pardon my mistakes and long write up. Those who gets it will get it.

PS: Get me right. The foundation is God
The next thing is the application of wisdom. Apply yourself. Be diligent in study and work. See knowledge. Be the best at what you do. Be a generous giver. A man prospers to the extent that he is able and willing to give.
Network, Build your confidence and reach out. Dont take no for an answer . Worry them.
Most importantly, under money and financial management. Know that it is important to save but more importantly to invest your savings.

Finally whether you believe it or not the spiritual controls the physical. Normal hustle would not give you the breakthrough you need. You need power to succeed. A superior force has to help you.
Most people, celebs, captains of industries, Top Politicians and even big countries are using powers that are not Godly but still powerful. You can't compete with them with your small wisdom or strength.

Abia state does not need an airport. Port Harcourt airport is close to Aba while Owerri airport is close to Umuahia. Akwa Ibom airport is also there to serve them. As for seaport, Onne port in Rivers state is not very far away.

With the industrial revolution that Aba will spearhead in Abia State, we need a seaport for international export purposes.

I was really ecstatic when I heard about our Governor's plan to construct a railway across the Abia State. I hope it links every major town in Abia state. Imagine the endless possibilities that will be created for producers. Raw materials can come in and finished products can go out.
Like Governor Otti said, I see Abia developing to Dubai status in a 20 years

nairalanda1:

To make matters worse, the tarrifs the discos are allowed to charge are not cost reflective.

The subsides paid to cover the resulting loss are too too low to do so.

Thus discos cannot pay gencos adequately.

And the cycle continues.

You are correct. Nigerians don't understand that the cause of the electricity challenge we have today is the decades of mismanagement and inefficiency of NEPA coupled with the lack of investment in all segments in the value chain of the electricity supply industry.
The sector has been privatised except for the transmission segment and the investors need to be able to recoup a reasonable rate of return on their investment. Meaning people need to pay their bills and stop stealing electricity. All the monies received from customers goes into a pool that all market participants gets paid from
Stop vandalising power infrastructure too.

Recently the regulator NERC approved the increase of tariff to account for the changes in all the economic indicators. They had to freeze it because of the Federal government but passed the difference to the government via subsidies. The government can't pay that difference. So the entire sector is in jeopardy.

We need a reset.

Politics / Re: FG Pays $120m From Gas Debts As Blackout Spreads by Bonjovi13: 9:27am On Mar 01
Offpoint1:
I don't understand this gas debt, where does the electricity bills we paid monthly goes to?

The GENCOS are under contractual obligation to pay for the gas they receive from gas producers and transporters. That's the gas debt.

The 12 Discos have almost 40% aggregate technical, commercial and collection loses amounting to hundreds of millions of naira on shortfall to the market.

Meaning that the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company PLC( NBET) that is responsible for the off take of bulk purchase of electricity from the GENCOS for sale to the Discos cannot fully liquidate the huge debt to the Gencos.

If the GENCOS cannot pay for gas, they cannot produce electricity. If the Discos cannot make 100& of their payments invoices for electricity supplied to them from their customers, they cannot pay NBET
The vicious circle goes on and on. The Discos are saying that there is almost 30% electricity theft by customers. Metering deficit is almost 40%.

Politics / Re: Peter Obi Is Wrong On Bdcs by Bonjovi13: 12:17pm On Feb 25
Strafudeen:
I just saw a thread where his excellency Peter Obi was expressing disapproval on actions taken to reign in the bureau de changes in nigeria.

I hope I misread him, but if he is against the reforms implemented to curb the racketeering going on at those BDCs and their banking and black market allies, then I disagree.

I even advocate a total suspension of all BDC activity in nigeria.

Mpa nnukwu...onye nna...Peter obi...senior man.

This one no follow.

Our economy has been far too much dollarised, desperate times demand desperate measures.

We have to save the country at any cost.

Bureau de changes are a major part of the problem because as long as they freely do as they like, people who steal dollars know exactly where to run and clean it up in a few minutes.

They have to go.

If tinubu doesn't want to end them, then let him regulate them out of this their Criminal conspiracy with our thieving bankers and the touts on the streets with dollars and naira notes wrecking the economy.

Thanks onye mpa Peter obi, you're still the man though.

😃 😊

You have tried based on your understanding of the issues.
However you must know that Nigeria is a very unique country. They system is flawed and deliberately too to allow criminals, currupt politicians and public servants to profit and thrive.
Not everything you see is as it appears in Nigeria.
Now if the system wasn't flawed the BDCs were simply licensed to provide forex services to the public where for some reasons they cannot use the banks.

They were not meant to be the first option for buying and selling of forex. The banks have the primary function of meeting the forex needs of MDA's, commercial and private customers with the CBN auctioning forex to the banks on the opening of business everyday.

Because the CBN is able to match the deman for forex on the official side, BDC rates will not be too far from the official rates cos supply is there.

However that's not the case. CBN currently cannot meet the demand on the official side
and also via the banks. Regular customers cannot buy dollars from banks so they have to recourse to the BDC.

Now those people I mentioned above including the bankers now exploit the system, they access dollars via CBN and the banks and sell them to the BDC at a profit. That's what Peter Obi mentioned as unproductive excess supply.

The BDC guys add their own markup and sell to the public. The demand is higher than supply to the dollars value goes up whilst the Naira value comes down.

The middle class that have savings in naira panics and rushes to the BDCs to buy dollars and store to maintain its value.

BDCs want more profit so they speculate and fix prices. It works because the official market has low supply. The available dollars is moped up from the official system and sold to the BDC, rince and repeat( Round tripping).

Meanwhile, Nigeria is still dependent on imports, oil production is down, no forex coming in. So supply is low.

That's why Peter Obi is saying going after the BDC is ill advised. Fix the the source of the problem, the symptoms would disappear.

I started dating this lady that's a hairstylist that has her shop next to mine,i am a barber too...i started liking her because we were together and she's nice and pretty... along the line she said she doesn't like the fact that i still stay with my parents that i need my own privacy especially now that i am in a relationship with her,i wanted my own privacy too so i started working on getting my own place of which God made it possible for me last year December...i moved in and since she was staying at her brother's place that she doesn't really like she decided to move in with me...mehn this shit is crazy.
I figured it was gonna be easy because we were both working but it's different now,i feed the both of us from the money i work...i buy our cream,i do virtually everything for US...she makes her own money too but she saves it,the only time she spends her own money is when i have been drained to the last Kobo,i initially used to give my mom money but mehn I don't remember the last time i gave that woman money,if i were to be staying alone my stuffs will last longer for me and i will know how to manage my money but since i stay with my girlfriend i spend all my money to the last Kobo i don't even have fuel in the shop to work, she's a good girl but the only problem i have is that i am always broke while she keeps her money and makes plan for it and do business with it... while i struggle to sustain the little business i am doing, before we started dating she was fine and doing well taking care of herself but now everything is just so tiring that sometimes i sit and think think think...i know i am a man and am supposed to take responsibility but i see myself on the loosing side already,if anything happens in this relationship i stand to loose a whole lot because i have sacrificed a lot...i left my parents home because i needed privacy,i don't even get that, she nags and complain about everything,if ant bites her she'll cry to me and tell me ant bite her that i should say sorry,if i don't say sorry she will tell me i don't love her,i hide my pains,i cry inside i don't disturb her with my pains.

I intended getting married to her but things don't seem to be working right, should i tell her to go back to her brother's House?
She's the reason i rented this house, will she not think i am trying to send her away or i don't love her anymore, everybody thinks we are married and people keep telling me to do fast and impregnate her so that dey will come and eat rice but deep down,i am slowly getting tired and dying...i miss being single,i Miss being alone, I miss everything...i don't even make much money sometimes to buy my weed because we have to eat, weed helps me forget my problem a little.

Her family knows me already, dey are just waiting for me to come and do introduction or she should get pregnant,i am 26 and i want to know if it's my responsibility or i foolishly brought this upon myself...i thought i was the luckiest to be with a girl that's independent but little did i know that no girl is really independent when they see someone to depend on...i am not saying she's not trying but that's only when i voice out and complain that's when she'll tell me she has one money somewhere that we should buy something with it,but i can't be complaining everytime and if i sit her down and tell her all this she will feel like it's because i know that she has money that's why i am thinking that way...mehn the whole relationship and married thing just tire me and i really do feel like just being alone,i want to plan my life myself because this plan is not working at all, she's honest with me and I'm honest with her too,i am so honest and very nice i think she's taking advantage of me,i am taking care of her and slowly dying while she's judiciously making her plans work out and making progress...i have not even talked about my school, tomorrow is Saturday and i should be going to school,no transport or kobo with me,will i go to my mom to borrow money, woman i don't remember the last time i gave her money,or should i borrow from my girlfriend, that will always remind me i am owing her money...or should i go to my saloon and work then take the money to school tomorrow? What about feeding... who's gonna bring money for food today and the most annoying part of the whole thing is the way this girl disturbs me if she's hungry, even when my customers are there, she'll be telling me incessantly that she's hungry,i know for sure she has some money she has saved, and she knows for sure that i don't have any money with me,is she waiting for this customer to pay me so i give her the money to go and eat when i know she has some money she has saved,i don't have any money saved and even if i do have money that i have saved anytime anything comes up i go to that money, Maybe we need to eat or something but nobody touches her own money she has plan for it,i feel like i am being dragged back... someone should talk to me

You are drowning and smiling. I wonder if you think someone is coming to help you. No one cares including your woman. If you don't take steps to free yourself from this prison you created for yourself you will slip into depression and God forbid hurt your self.
Listen most women are like your girl. They will bleed you dry while hoarding what they have. They will watch you stretch yourself until your back breaks and won't lift a finger to help. Then ask her what she can contribute weekly to the common purse. If she says nothing or accepts and reneged on her word, there you have the sign.
Tell her to move out and stop footing her bills. In life as in marriage, you must look out for yourself. Man up and don't be a simp

Shiroro, kainji etc convert strong potential energy behind the dam into kinetic energy in order to run the turbine. Water standing in a bucket can't generate electricity. You are the ignorant one here my friend.

I here. Not all generators sir.

Did you watch the video? Did you see that he has an alternate power source to power his machine? Have you considered the cost efficiency of the machine? Anybody can come up with anything to claim anything. His machine only power one single energy saving bulb that the battery he is using to power his machine can power x50 , so what's the point?

Really? That's your very profound take?" Water standing alone can't produce electricity ". Seriously? As if that isn't obvious. I just wasted my time having this discussion.

Heat transfer you say? I said water standing along can not generate energy, here you are talking about using heat energy to generate steam to run turbine. Even Jss1 science will tell you that steam turbine is far from efficient (why do you think it was discontinued?)

You are really ignorant and I think you should be ashamed of yourself. My advice: Study hard.
It is a fact that the electricity generating plants that supply the highest amount of power(megawatts) and is the most reliable and cheapest in Nigeria are the Kainji, Jebba and Shiroro hydroelectric plants. The Zungeru hydroelectric plant is another huge plant that Nigeria just added to the grid. The combined output of these hydroelectric plants is over 3000MW.

Hydroelectric plants generate clean and renewable energy .Globally, hydroelectricity is a major electricity resource, accounting for more than 16% of all electricity produced on the planet.

All generators use fuels ( whether gas, coal, nuclear etc) to generate steam which is used to spin a turbine attached to a generator that generates electricity

Say what you know. What's the man's name? You can't generate energy with water alone. It's against all the laws of science
What are you talking about. Electricity can be generated with Hydro(water). All it needs is some form of heat transfer to generate enough steam that can be directed to rotate a turbine. If you can get enough force to.spin a turbine you can generate Electricity.

Business / Re: See Why The Nigeria Naira Is Rapidly Depreciating Against The Dollar by Bonjovi13: 8:07am On Jan 28
grandstar:
stevnwigw1

You tried with your answers.

However, the primary treason why the Naira is depreciating is because the CBN has refused to raise interest rates high enough to soak up 3xcess money in the system which will not only reduce inflation (as there is less money) but also lead to an appreciation of the Naira as there's less Naira now to buy forex. This in economic parlance is called "tight money " Presntly, the CBN is practicing a loose money policy in an economy already sufder8ng from double digit inflation.

To explain it better, the CBN rates are 18% while inflation is 28%. So, if you invested 1m in treasury bills, you will get 1.18m at the end of the year. Meanwhile, the car that was sell7ng for 1m is now 1.28m.

You can see the problem. If interest rates rise to 30%, people (banks, pension funds, insurance firms etc) will buy up treasury bills taking money out of circulation. Trust me, within, 30 days, the Naira would hit 1,100 if not 1,000 at the black market.

The suspicion is that Tinubu wants low interest
rates to aid businesses but sadly, it is stoking inflation and currency depreciation. Tinubu seems to believe that once the $7bn unmet forex contracts are paid, the currency would stabilize and even strengthen. However, the low negative rates will destroy any confidence in the Naira and any new fx will quickly vanish as people prefer to hold money in dollars or other assets to protect the value of their money.

I beg to differ. Despite the high double digits inflation rate in Nigeria, our economy is sluggish. Only few people have access to money. Unemployment rate is high. Poverty index is high. Our industries are not producing due to many reasons. If the CBN increases interest rates, our economy will go into depression because of the unavailability of cash since the little economic activities in the informal and formal sectors of our economy will be starved of funds. Remember what happened during the cash crunch during Emefiele's tenure.

Secondly you should take another look at your illustration. What is 1.18M? Is there such a thing as 1.18M? Thirdly yes, commercial or bank interest rates affect the treasury bonds interest rates. However the fact is that the higher the commercial interest rates are the lower the treasury yields will be. You have mixed up commercial interest rates with the interest or yield from buying treasury bonds.

The solutions to our economic crisis is the following:
1. The FG should immediately restructure our external and internal debt. The interests the government is paying is bleeding us out. The debt servicing on our budget is very high. We need to ease the pressure and free up funds to invest in building our infrastructure and ramp up our production capacity.
2. Channel surplus funds into building local refineries and upgrade our mines. The billions of dollars the government spends monthly on fuel importation is bleeding us out. To think that the costs are inflated over 60% goes into private hands is sickening.
Y'all should know that the most of the monies from minerals being mined all over Nigeria doesn't enter into the government coffers. The proceeds are 10X what we get from selling crude.
3. Stop foreign currency arbitrage. Like the allocation of oil blocks, this is one way of aiding people to become billionaires in dollars over night. Everyone connected is doing it. So it's in their interest that there should exist a huge disparity between the official FX rates and the parallel market rates. Steady cashing out to the detriment of the nation's economy.
4. Reduce Government expenditure. From the legislature, judiciary, Civil service, Armed Forces etc, the cost of funding these guys are astronomical.
5. Declare a state of emergency on the manufacturing sector. We have the raw natural resources that the world needs. We are selling them at ridiculously cheap prices. We need to start doing value additions. Process these raw materials and sell at a good margin. Fund entrepreneurs, create a simple exporting process. Huge forex will come in reducing pressure on the Naira.
6. Start prosecuting corruption and let the penalty be hanging or life imprisonment. People will seat up.

Will dey do it? Doubt it cos the current system favours them personally.

Politics / Re: FAAN Confirms Relocation Of Headquarters To Lagos, Gives Reasons by Bonjovi13: 6:39am On Jan 19
Olaide1295:
The decision to relocate the FAAN corporate headquarters from Abuja to Lagos, as explained in this press release, appears to be a well-considered and practical move. The reasons provided, including the lack of office space in Abuja, the cost implications of duty tour allowance, and the need to manage resources efficiently, demonstrate a commitment to responsible and transparent governance.

The assurance that the Authority will continue to act in the best interest of the public and the country, as well as the commitment to building befitting corporate offices in both Lagos and Abuja, further emphasizes a forward-thinking approach. The consideration of operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness aligns with responsible stewardship of public funds.

It's encouraging to see a focus on the long-term plan.

Really? The new terminal in the Abuja Airport was built at a cost of $600M. It was commissioned by PMB and till now it is underutilised. It was a project that was budgeted by the FAAN. If the terminal doesn't have offices for FAAN staff, it was deliberate and unfortunate.

Secondly the Abuja airport is very strategic to Nigeria not only because it is the gateway to the nation’s capital but also because it the second busiest airport in the country and the fastest growing in passenger traffic in West and Central Africa, with an average growth rate of 8%, where the world average growth is 5.8%. The airport processed 5,709,012 passengers in 2017.

This can justify the building of a befitting HQ for FAAN in Abuja. Julius Berger can complete such a project in 6months.

Economically and politically Abuja's airport is strategically important.

Heads of States of foreign countries,CEOs of multinational companies including top personnel of Internationa Development Agencies all fly into Abuja on a daily basis to meet Mr President and other top government functionaries. Yet you are relocating the HQ of FAAN to Lagos. So junior FAAN staff will interface with these important personalities? That's is not the protocol.

We know the real reason why FAAN HQ was relocated to Lagos. It is for economic and political reasons. It simply means that a lot of operations in FAAN will be initiated in Lagos. Deals will be made in Lagos. Finances will flow to Lagos. Who owns Lagos? Who benefits from those deals and increased operations?

Ditto CBN. Finance. CBN will finance projects and operations in Lagos.

I'm sure more strategic Agencies will be relocated to Lagos as soon as plans are perfected.

So let the naive and ignorant group of Nigerians continue to defend this action. Ultimately we know that our rulers place personal, tribal interests well above the interests of the country.

Let us pray that hunger and deprivation does not push the masses beyond the tolerance level they can bear and the predictions of the west regarding Nigeria comes to pass.

If the economic decline continues unabated, the citizens may revolt and take the streets.

You know what they say that a man who is on the ground does not fear being pushed down.

Hmmmmmn. I fear the consequences of millions of angry Nigerian hitting the streets.

some of you are funny....they said presidential yacht, you are saying armed yacht.

Don't mind the buffon. He comes from a lineage of simpletons. Surprisingly his own condition has taken a turn for the worse. Baba is now schizophrenic having lost touch with reality.

President GEJ turned down this request and directed the Navy to ask the NA appropriations committee to change the budget line item to the repair of the Nigerian Navy war ships. Yet this buffon says the yatch is an armed yatch( war ship).

I don't play politics like u fools who support ur tribes men even when they're not credible. I know ur probably pained by president Tinubu assumption of office and can't wait to discredit anything coming from him. A little research could have informed u that there are actually military armed yachts and not just the normal luxury ones u see. I don't care about APC or LP and I'm not saying this administration is right either. I'm only correcting u dimwits who believe yachts are just pleasure boats. Enjoy ur weekend 😁

You see how you just ridiculed yourself before the entire world.
How dumb can you be to think that the navy would purchase an armed yatch for a civilian presidential fleet.

Anyways enjoy your delusions. As long as we have gullible dimwits like you in Nigeria, these guys would continue to do whatever they like with no one to call them out.
