RomanceRe: Why Do Men Cheat? by Boondoggle(m): 7:47am On Aug 04, 2007
I was not going to contribute to this thread, however the response quoted below made me to drop these few lines:

LuUmBiOn2:
@Rhino

When i say cheating is Natural, I mean thats the way we guys are configured from the creator. It was in the new testament, when christ came that he modified it, but hey, he modified the law, and not the human body. Cant say more than that for the sake of some peeps on nairaland.
So because, its just natural to cheat on your woman.
Bro, pls unsubscribe from the school of thought that men are CONFIGURED by DEFAULT to cheat on women!!! Saying it's natural is as good as laying the blame at the door of our creator - The sovereign God! Are you saying God made a mistake while making man or that he purposely made us cheats?? huh huh A beg o o o o o , God is NOT the author of IMMORALITY. We are what we make ourselves to be. Don't tread the blame-shifting path Adam took when God caught him with the forbidden fruit. Own up to your actions and leave nature out of this.

Listen, we were all born blank - so to say. As we start and move along the journey of life we acquire all sorts and that is where the differences start to come in. There is a saying that goes does: Practice makes perfect, watch what you practise! Whether good or bad we all learned it consciously or unconsciously. If you are the cheating type, just trace your steps back and you will find out that there was once a type when your name was "innocent" until probably when you had a brush with someone, an environment, something or w-h-a-t-e-v-e-r that brought about the change and you accepted it because it is the opinion of the majority.

What was in the New testament that Jesus changedhuh Ah! Na wa o! Please I am interested o, I will appreciate if you can point me to that part of scriptures.
My advise to you: please do a full system POWER CYCLE and RE-LOAD your O/S from the original copy of the manufacturer's CD - THE BIBLE and you will find out that men's DEFAULT CONFIGURATION is to be loyal and faithful to their wives according to the STARTUP SCRIPT of Jehova. Please, please and please, after RE-BOOT don't forget to load and activate the strongest ANTI-VIRUS ever made - WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD in order to be able to quench all the fiery darts that will follow this post by some "peeps on Nairaland" to prevent re-occurrence of corruption. grin grin grin
RomanceRe: Is It Safe To Tell A Man "I Love You"? by Boondoggle(m): 2:19pm On Aug 02, 2007
@ poster,

It is quite safe. I appreciate it when "nkem"  wink  says that to me and even appreciate it more if she pauses, looks at me eye balls to eye balls  tongue and rests both her palms on my shoulders  before saying it. It's kinda romantic and enforces re-assuarance. Besides, how would I know she does if she does not tell me? Saying this is not like saying just any other words, the words should come not from just any part of your heart but right from the very BOTTOM of your heart.  At times, one may wonder if one's partner REALLY loves, but immediately one hears these three "magical" words all doubt disperse. Three simple words, yet powerfull enough to move mountainssss! grin grin grin

RomanceRe: Temptation by Boondoggle(m): 11:23pm On Aug 01, 2007
@ Godsgirl,

My dear sister, at times temptation comes suddenly and in that situation one may not even have time to remember prayer until one is flat on one's face. Can one not pray this kind of prayers in advance? I mean a kind of  prayer that will keep one from coming in contact with such tempatations. One of Jabez's prayer points - that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me- has always been of interest to me. Maybe if one prays like this daily, temptation will not come one's way and then one will not need to fight the battle of the mind . . . . . Anyway, He has said he would not tempt us with temptation that is more than us and even in all He has already created a way of escape. So, I guess it is left for us to find that way. Hnmm! God will continue to help us all.

@ Poster,

Another way of fighting battle of the mind is to use the weapon Christ taught us when He was tempted in the wilderness after His 40days fasting - the word! Find suitable scriptures and memorize them, quote them whenever the feeling comes over you. I know it is not easy because I have been working at it for a long time and I am yet to perfect it. Always remember it is NOT possible to stop thouhgt flowing to your mind but very possible to replace thought with another thought, so be armed with scriptures to replace any thought you don't want to dwell on in your heart; that is the way to capture our thought to the obedient of Christ.  cool

I really appreciate your courage, and u sound so much like somebody that knows what she is doing.Keep it up girl! How i pray that most people would learn from u and for once go for what they really need and not just fall for anything.
You are surely a candidate for the top, meet me there!
My sister, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak!!! but that is not an excuse o.
We should all learn to look beyond the immediate gratification of SIN and fix out mind on the guilt  that always follows it. And, also pray and ask for His grace.
Goosh! IT IS NOT EASY. .  .at times I feel like running out of myself!!!   Even great Apostle Paul said that the good he wanted to do, he do not, but found himself doing what he did not want to do. Then he cried out "Who will deliver me from this body of SIN"  but by His grace we have overcome grin grin grin

@ godsgirl,
where 've you been?

Kinda like your prayer. How do you pray this kind of prayer? quietly, aloud, once, continuously, and when? anytime?

Ngo-girl--Your posts are just too funny-I think your exchanges with Zignor is just so cute. You both started to go at each other's neck but then quickly became best of acquaintances--I have been laughing the whole time. Thanks for that girl.

Well, to respond to your question , No, I do not personally see anything wrong with marrying a man 12 y older than you are. I personally just responded to a different thread saying that I desired to marry someone at least 10 years older than me and not more than 12, I think 15 year gap is fine for you if that is want you desire. I think older men are adorable; Not for what they have to offer because I enjoying giving rather than receiving anyway. I hate to ask or borrow things, I enjoy gifts from the heart. I definately would be turned off if I knew the older man was trying to buy my love because I am priceless  wink. Moreover, I am a daddy's girl so the more he reminds me of my dad, the better, He can sit me on his lap and whisper sweet nothings in my ear  wink.awww, My sweet old man Moses.

Agape!
How old are you selfhuh? that you are desiring to marry  a "daddy's" sizehuh

samorijack:
my brother, most of the time they're (pastors) are just pimping us it dosen't take a rational working mind too long to figure this out,i've come to the conclusion that God has left the church long time ago,we just don't want to accept it. find him ( GOD FOR YOURSELF) u can't continue to live off what you hear on the pulpit,it lot of it stinksssss
Please don't generalize . . ,   . God has actually left some churches, He was never in some and He is still dwelling ACTIVELY in some.
Christianity EtcRe: I Find Church Services Boring by Boondoggle(m): 9:55pm On Jul 25, 2007
Had a similar experience some years back until I found my present church. If you feel empty in any church -  RUN!!!! and PRAYERFULLY look for another church where the undiluted word of God is taught. If you have changed church twice or thrice and still no change then you may have to look inward and start praying that every stronghold that may be in you that is contesting with the word of God should collide with Eternal rock of ages and scatter.  grin grin grin cool cool cool
BusinessRe: ATMs: Automated Thieving Machines? by Boondoggle(m): 9:25pm On Jul 25, 2007
Had a similar experience with the ATM located @ Ikeja in that joint by the foot of the bridge, i think it is called Triangle or whatever.
I requested for 20K and Mr. ATM came back with "Hardware Error". It was a weekend so I decided to give out check instead of the cash to sort out my need. On checking my acount on Monday, I saw a big and bold 20K debit  shocked courtesy Mr. ATM, Ikeja. "No probs", I said to myself then proceeded to draft a letter to GTB's . Armed with the letter and photocopy of the failed ATM transaction I proceeded to the GTB branch where my account is domicile (Lesson 1. when you have any issues of this nature please don't go to any  other branch other than where your account is domicile otherwise they would bounce you around or make you to wait endlessly). On getting there, I lodged my complaint and then the lady was like "Sir, you will need to write a lett  ,  . . ", (lesson 2. be prepared!, they will always ask for letter). I immediately "conjured" my already prepared instrument  grin and when she saw the EPISTLE with the attached photocopy of transaction receipt, her jaw dropped and was she was like " W-o-w!!! shocked shocked  shocked That's a pretty long petition . . .  It is 2,000,000kobo where are talking about here! grin grin grin
Anyway, she told me they had a lot of such complaint over the weekend and the transactions would be reverse that same day. I said, "Great, but you must accept my letter",  which she did. I then left with  big hope while planning my next move if. . . .
True to her words, the transaction was reversed that day. Since then I have been using GTB's ATM ONLY and I have never had any issue(s) again. Lesson 3 - stick to the ATM of the institution you bank with.  cool
