In my opinion, the black friday is a scam.
Depends on what you are buying. Prices of TVs are usually at the cheapest on black Fridays. Maybe it's because the store doesn't want to carry old stock into the next year.

But then, some stores take advantage of black Friday to sell all their items that are broken down or have factory defects.

I would say ALWAYS buy from reputable stores whether buying on Jumia, Aliexpress, etc.

It still baffles me that some of the Xiaomi old timers have not bothered to start a blog about Xiaomi devices.

All the people that come to this thread to ask questions could easily be directed to such blogs and they would easily find the answers they seek.

Owo is being left on the table. wink

That feature was there with miui 7 or 8, they removed it.
Interesting. Maybe people weren't using it that much then or the algorithm needed some enhancements.

I still see some advantages in using the system launcher.

I've forgotten that system launcher still exists - Microsoft launcher stole my heart a long time ago.
Funny enough I don't use the system launcher. The feature just caught my eye while I was updating the app.
I am yet to see anything that comes close to Microsoft launcher. The sticky notes widget has changed my life.

Interesting.....

Me I have three Google accounts on my phone. Then coupled with two work accounts, MI account, yahoo mail account, WhatsApp (which backs up every night), etc and a host of apps that are battery guzzlers.
Maybe one day I can get 12 hours SOT.
Xiaomi goals.....grin

How about just Innoson.

We know Toyota, Honda, Peugeot, etc as one word brands.

Some of us will get the fix in some months time while others such as those in transsion building will never get it.

I'm planning on getting the redmi 7 real soon. Can't wait to have a taste of MIUI
Beware!!! Don't use MIUI. If you try it, you will never use stock android again. Even if you choose to forcefully switch to stock Android later, you will experience MIUI withdrawal symptoms. grin

Being a newbie here, someone once called my attention to it that there must be drama here very weekend. If e no happen, wait for Monday or Tuesday.... I have not been disappointed so far
But come to look it from a neutral ground, they both are making points, though standing from different perspectives.... If one person can come to the other person's corner, there will be better comprehension. I didn't see the beginning of the argument, so I really don't have much input.
But I respect KngGezy.... Despite bashings here and there, one man Mopol, he stil stands his ground and day anytime.
grin grin grin.
Reminds me of those debates we did when we were in secondary school.

For me, the only arguments I have ever won are the ones I didn't argue. grin

Something needs to be done about it.

I haven't seen this update...
please when did you get this update?
which region are you?
It has not been pushed to Nigerians yet. If you change your region to Mexico, you should get it.

For me, I updated by downloading the full rom from the miui downloads website (about 1.7GB) and then flashed via the updater app.

Lol...that's not possible oo, you must have something running background, maybe music.
Music ke? Running 100% of the time? I be DJ?

If something was running, it should show under the list of apps in the battery usage. Unless it was something in the Android system.

Yeah. I see now. I think I will plan to switch someday.
I have so many things setup on my phone it will cost me about a day or two to fully transition to another rom.

Thanks.

Guys, I haven't received update ever since people on this thread strted talking about it and I was even planning to download the miui11 beta that someone posted but when I saw 2G omo I just decided to calm down cos I didn't even know what implication it'd have on my device, is there anything I can do or I shld download that 2G shi like that huh
Jejely stay on that version for now.
There is a reason they have not pushed it to you yet.
I will advise you wait patiently until they decide to send the update to your device.
You might end up getting 10.3.12 or later.
Some of us are on the frontlines. If you know, you know.

Modified: You are using EU rom and are already on the latest version.

If you change your location to Mexico you should get the new update
Thanks. I will try that soon.
I am currently downloading the full V10.3.12 rom through the website.
Question: If I download the Version: V10.3.6.0.PFGEUXM (MIUI10) Size: 1.7G which seems to be EU rom, do I need to go through the unlocking of bootloader route?

I have never been to a BRIC nation smiley
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by Born2smile: 7:40am On Sep 27, 2019
Ever since I updated this RN7 to miui 10.3.10, the battery performance has gone down.

SOT now averages 5 to 6hrs and the battery graph is quite steep.
The main culprit is Android system. I have tweaked virtually every setting there is to tweak, still no improvement.

I can see on the xiaomi website (https://en.miui.com/getrom-360.html?m=yes&mobile=2) that there is a new rom 10.3.12
Hopefully, this will solve the problem when it is delivered.
