Budget is 50k sharp. Looking for a good phone in that price limit. Decent camera, decent battery, appreciable speed, etc.

The person is careless with phones and could easily damage the screen in a short time. So if eventuality happens, accessibility to quick fix is greatly desired.

Techno and Infinix are no go areas because of poor value for money. Neither Umidigi because the name could make the person lose trust in me.

All things considered, I suggested the person go for Nokia 5.1. But I am still not too sure if there is readily available support services for it.

Please house are there other suggestions in that price range? Will appreciate your opinions.

Every once in a while I have to shoot some small clip of video on my Pocophone and it doesn't even come close to the iPhone 6 Plus. So if it's youtube you're into, heck just leave Android alone. Antutu, geekbench, DxOMark, etc we have all come to appreciate the independent work these guys do, because of their Scientific approach to things. Their business is built on their credibility and so they can't joke with it. Some might argue that like INEC, they could be influenced to some extent.

Nevertheless, I think the general public will agree that Samsung S10+ and the Huawei top flagships are leading the way in terms of Smartphone photography. But it doesn't mean the others are far behind.

2019 is pregnant when it comes to smartphone innovation. Let's see what it will give birth to. Up next is Nokia.....

Dxomark scores are great but in real life testing, can any phone actually come close to Google Pixel 3 day time shots or iPhone Video output or Huawei P20 Pro / Mate 20 Pro's Night time shots? Maybe but they're still unbeatable in their respective categories in real would testing.

For videos, android phones do that focus hunting thing when the light source shifts which everyone can see. Also for social media stories, android phones are still lagging behind.

I don't understand what you mean by "real life testing". Maybe you need to read more about how DXOMARK carries out their tests. These are professional photographers who carry out tests in all sorts of conditions; night, day, sunset, twilight, etc, snapping and analyzing close to 1500 pictures per device.

I think it is better to listen to them than base your judgment on how you feel. They take great pain to gather all the facts.

You can't even compare YouTube reviewers like MKBHD with their review.

But the link I quoted above included video recording. And the S10+ was not mentioned while the xiaomi mi 9 was rated the best in video recording.

Honestly, all things considered including price, the MI 9 is the best smartphone on the planet.

So xiaomi mi 9 beat iPhone xs max for camera and video recording according to DxOMark Lab.

Huawei mate 20 pro and p 20 pro still remain top. Hmmmm.
