Hey Student, buy and sell your used/new items on Campus. You can post up to 10 Ads for Free. Visit today! Siggy has launched a new online marketplace for Students where college students can swap, buy and sell on Campus in Nigeria. The online marketplace for students teamed up with Student Money Saver to encourage undergraduates reduce unnecessary spending by trading and selling unwanted stuffs instead of throwing them away. Students in Nigeria can now access this service, which allows them to upload and sell on Campus stuffs they no longer need. From textbooks to electronics to even accomodation, they can trade stuffs with those in their University. According to research from the National Association of Nigerian Students, around half of undergraduates struggle to pay for course resources such as books and materials. And 71 per cent of them worry about money. The online marketplace for students “gives undergraduates the chance to trade and sell on campus any unwanted kitchen items and books that they wouldn’t need after they graduate, but that a new student could really use”. The ecommerce website has made the buying and selling on campus of Phones, Food, Shoes, Bags, Furniture, Clothings, Property, Services, Household items and many more stuffs seamless and safe on Campus. Bornor Bang, head of operations at Siggy, said his organisation is on a mission to help students improve their finances. “Having been involved with Student Money Saver for five years I understand just how important it is for scholars to be savvy with their finances, which is why I’m so excited to be launching our very own online marketplace for students,” Bornor said. “Siggy will provide a fantastic opportunity for students to be able to swap, buy and sell on Campus within the comfort of their university community, and hopefully prove to be an important tool in what can be a financially tricky time.” Based in Nigeria, Siggy is the brainchild of Bornor Bang. It’s designed to “alleviate the financial stress of university, but also to encourage more students to meet up, get to know one another and find people with similar interests”. Talking about the partnership, Bornor Bang said: “We’re so proud to be working with Student Money Saver this year. An online marketplace for Students isn’t just about saving money. It’s about being part of a community – a Nigerian Students’ Community”. “And we couldn’t think of a better platform in Nigeria to work with than one which has helped so tremendously with undergraduates wellbeing. “We really hope that having an online marketplace for students to post classified ads for free and sell on campus not only helps with saving, but that it goes some way towards reducing the stress that can come with being in a new environment and budgeting for the first time.” Siggy website is www. https:///buy-and-sell-anything-on-campus-with-siggy/

Update from Bandits have invaded Government Secondary School, Ungwan Sarki in Kaduna North Local Government Area of the state, carting away National Examination Council question papers. It was gathered by that the hoodlums had trailed a NECO supervisor from one of the new generation banks in town into the school. The hooded gunmen, it was further learnt, pounced on the female supervisor and made away with all examination papers meant to be written by the SS3 students, believing it was money. “When the bandits invaded the school, they ordered the NECO official to surrender the examination papers. Even as the official told the gunmen the content, they still didn’t believe her. “Apparently, the bandits trailed the official from one of the new generation banks where she went to collect the examination materials into the school. They demanded she hand over the materials to them, thinking it was money,” a source said. There was confusion on Friday following the attack, as parents stormed the school to withdraw their children for fear of being kidnapped, a source told Correspondent. This is coming in less than three weeks after the abduction of 121 students of the Bethel Baptist High School along Kaduna-Kachia highway, Chikun Local Government Area of the state. Even as three of the students were reported to have escaped from the bandits, 118 students were still with the bandits with a ransom of N60m dangling on their heads. As of the time of filing this report, no official statement yet as the state Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, could not be reached. https:///bandits-inavdes-secondary-school-in-kaduna-rob-away-exam-materials/
