I hope prospective students know that just getting a student visa does not lead to PR. It has to be a course on the critical skills list. |

akinnawou: @scrollmeout: i v bn following ur post, congrats on your positive assessment from EA, am also a prospective applicant for EA assessment too, pls i would need guidance on the CDR, three career episodes, i v d MSA booklet and have gone thru it,just need tutelage from you so that i do wat is right and nt make mistakes,
@bosslady:pertaining to the visa subclass 189,190,489 for PR, does it mean one needs 60 points to qualify for 189 visa, and you dont need upto 60 points to qualify for invite to apply for the 190,489 visas? in other words, are the points required for the subclass visas different?
@scrollmeout pls get across, would appreciate your timely response. To qualify for 189/190/489, you need 60 points. The difference is how the 60pts are gotten. With 189, you need to score 60 on the points table, excluding state nomination points. With 190/489, the 60 can include state nomination points, which is 5 and 10 respectively. |

Too much TV also affects their speech and language skills. Watching TV is a one-way conversation, so too much of it does not help children develop their speech. I made the same mistake when I had my son, but with my daughter, I corrected it.
A good creche/childcare centre should not have a TV. |

NNBB2012: You will need transcripts for both assessment and immigration. Vet assess requires that transcript should be sent directly from school, and immigration needs certified copy only. If your school could give you a copy before sending it to Vetassess that would be great.
You need to submit evidence of 1yr experience to Vetassess for assessment. You need envidence of English before assessment. Check if Vetasses requires other test of English. Luckily, VETASSESS does not need an English test before assessment. |

NNBB2012: I know of at least 2 people that got assessed by ACS with Nigerian qualification and they didn't have issue. Anyone that did 5years degree course shouldn't have issue. But with a Nigerian 4years degree, it would be equated to Associate Degree. Is there any 5yr ICT course in Nigeria? |
Travel › Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by bossladymo1: 1:30am On Jul 09, 2015 |
cybug: Hello house!
-when applying for my transcript, do i need to apply for two copies? As in one for VETASSESS and another for visa application?
NOPE. ONE IS FINE. YOU CAN GET VETASSESS TO SCAN AND EMAIL YOUR TRANSCRIPT WHEN YOU NEED IT. OR YOU CAN JUST GET YOUR SCHOOL TO SEND ANOTHER COPY TO YOU.
-since i do not Have upto 3 year of work experience and i'm not claiming point for work experience, do i need to submit employment letter, tax cert, payslips etc?
NOPE. BUT YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT PAYSLIPS ETC TO VETASSESS.
-do i need to sit for ielts before applying for assessment From vetassess?
NOPE. BUT IT IS ADVISABLE, AS IT LETS YOU LODGE IMMEDIATELY YOU GET YOUR ASSESSMENT.

jislord94: Thanks for your response, well my plan is to apply using my qualification /Status i.e i have more than 8 years working experience in computer engr plus other qualification of mine.
I just wanted to know if with my status and my wife status if we good to go for the 189 Skilled visa.
Thank you for your positive response. Your wife has a better chance of being the main applicant. ICT occupations require a minimum of a BSc in an IT area....of which Nigerian Bachelor's have been found not up to par. |

My question now is with my wife experience and my status, can i apply for 189 skilled visa as the primary applicant? if yes what is the duration like ?How do we go about it? Any general advice will be highly appreciated.
Thank you cc ferdimako , bossladymo1 Firstly, check the requirements of the AITSL...that is the assessment body for teachers. |

The Av cord thingy, thought it comes with the TV or sound system when bought, that is the red, yellow and white cords? Or which AV cord are u referring too? You might not get replies from Airbnb...guess the Nigerian factor....but lets see how it goes for you. Otherwise, you can try other options. If you get a furnished apartment, you might not get one. The AV cord was nkt there when we moved in. So if you find yourself in such a situation, you go just dey vex sey u gats buy am with $20. Yeap, the red yellow and white one. |

The countdown has begun...Get ready for a longggggggg flight! Well you have just 1 kid sha, so you and your wife can exchange. Word of advice...bring AV cord along. rezzy: I just changed from cerelac and NaN to pap and myboy because he refused it.
I was tired of preparing his food and later throwing it away. So last Monday I tried that semo stuff one mama talked about. He took it well but I don't like the smell, so Thursday, I switched to pap.
Myboy is #1,100k.
Thanks He is pooing after every feed? That's not normal. Stooling is a very easy way to lose weight. There has to be an underlying cause. Have you told the doc he poos this many times in a day? Pap wont do anything. Pap is majorly water. That's why they even advise b.feeding mums to take it. |

My son is, and has always been borderline mimum weight for his age group. Here are the few things I did when he was younger
1. Calorie counting - I worked out exactly how many calories he needed per day, then I created a meal plan. I put an extra scoop of milk in each of his bottles. This was when he was above 7mths, not younger. This helped him meet up with the required oz of milk he needed per day. I also fed him fatty foods like titus fish, checked the labels of cereals or purees I buy, so as to pick the one with the highest fat content, and also gave Quaker Oats which has a high fat content, according to the label. I pureed avocado pear, as it has a high fat content, then mixed with bananas, which are also known for their high fat content.
2. I fed him all through the day. I realised feeding him bits all through the day, was better than normal feeding cycles.
3. Fight! Yeap! I used to pull my clothes, pull his clothes off, hold him down tight across my body, then feed him his cereal with spoon. It was a battle 3x a day. But na straight to bathroom afterwards lol.
What was his weight at birth? |

He takes pap and my boy formula. He also takes adult food but in small quantity. The baby is even achieving his milestones sef. Good boy! Why dont you try changing his formula, if you can afford it. Or see a doctor to confirm if an appetite stimulant can help. How much is Myboy? |

rezzy: Hi sweet mothers,
My baby will be 8 months on Friday.
He is not growing as he should. We went for 6 months immunisation last Friday of June(he was 7 months 16 days then) , he weighted 5.6kg. In short infact, he was the smallest baby among 6 and 7 months babies that came for the immunisation. Shame nearly killed me.
He stopped taking cerelac so I decided to buy pap. In the process of buying the pap, the seller asked me who wants to drink it, I told her my baby. She said why this small baby(imagine how small my baby is for her to say it). Then I told her my baby is approaching 8 months. Immediately, she removed my baby's socks and checked his leg. She said something is eating him up inside that it happened to her daughter too. She said my baby won't grow, that it can even kill.
Con see fear for my heart
Alagbo woman checked his tummy and showed us green veins.
Though, my landlord said he knows it, that if I was in the village they will bath him with herbs and I will see the worm abi snail eating him coming out from his body.
To cut the long story short, my baby is taking agbo now. My Mil is giving him the agbo by force.
Abeg who has experienced this or have any idea about it?
I dey find my menses ooo. I need prayers. 3 days late Madam! You get mind o! Someone you dont know from Adam, all because she is elderly and sells agbo, diagnosed and prescribed 'drugs'....your landlord came and said some mumbo jumbo....and you jumped to give your little baby.....hmmmmmmmmmm!!!!! Haba!!! Not all babies are meant to be big! My son is the smallest kid in his class....but he is hitting his milestones. My son has always been a small baby. He never had all those folds that babies have. Our family friends have a daughter, dhe is about 3 weeks older than my daughter, my daughter is much bigger than her.....but this girl is qlready ssying BYE with her mouth and hands. She is just a little over 9 months. It's only in Nigeria people make a fuss about big babies. People made me feel so bad back in naija. It got to a point where I didnt even want to go out or wear fine clothes out, cos you get people looking at you as if you are spending money on yourself and not feeding your kid. My son was on Enfamil and imported cereals....different varieties....there was no mising of money. Long and short....you are putting your kid in harm's way. I really want to know the outcome of this experiment you are performing on your live kid. Pls let us know if he magically adds weight. Hopefully, it is not mawu mawu you are giving the poor kid. So vexed! |

Eumaca: I agreed with you especially on that stress issue. I know someone who lost her baby recently after long distance travel. She Moved from east to north with her family, the last baby of abt 7-8weeks died 2days later. They said stress and cold despite the fact that they travelled in private car. I took my 9day old baby out, to get her int'l passport done. Private car, AC.....but even with that, I slmost peed in my pants when we were done. She was soooo tiredddd....Oh lord.....she was obviously weak. I was just cussing myself that who sent me message. And that was donestic travel o |
