D'Prince Stores at Isheri (Ojodu Berger) will definitely have. The owner's wife has a baby section on the first floor. That's where I bought the one I used in Naija.
Also, there is another baby store in Magodo...it's on the street just before the entrance (The street spendless is on, for those that are conversant with Magodo).
There is also another one around Isheri market...Femtom or Femton. She sells nice quality baby clothes also. |

enioladimeji: It could be the conditioner. Pls try and get baby conditioner. Maybe that one is too harsh for her scalp. Then why do u allow them play with her hair? It could also be the cause. Abeg make them leave the pikin hair jare And that's why I got a mild and sensitive one o. Will stop it ASAP. Will stop everything for now, till I can get the one she normally uses. I don't have to weave her hair cos by the time she comes back from daycare, they would have weaved 2 neat lines....so I'm enjoying osho free for now, cos I dont even know how to weave hehehehe. Will stop the conditioner first, then if it persists, will tell them to stop weaving it. Thanks. |

MGeey: Please o mamas, I don't understand all these vaccines u guys r mentioning; rotavirus, pneumococal etc. My DS was given penta and OPV @ 6 weeks and I haven't seen rotavirus n pnemococal on the booklet that contains d list of all vaccines to be given. Pls educate me. Thanks Pneumococcal and Rotavirus are new vaccines. They have not been subsidised by the govt yet. Private hospitals and some govt hospitals give it. You have to specifically request for it. |

Rashomo: Try coconut oil, it is very good. I use shea butter and olive oil for her....and it has been working well so far. Just this breakage that started of recent. Unfortunately, I van't get natural coconut oil where I am. The most I can get is products that have coconut oil as part of the ingredients. |

Does anyone know what I can use to stop my 9mth old baby's hair from breaking. I don't know if it is the weather (it's currently cold and harmattan-ish where I am now), or the water. I doubt it's the water though, cos it only just started. Or could it be a change in the conditioner I use for her for now? I had to get an adult conditioner (I chose a mild one that is meant for sensitive people) to use temporarily, as I could not get the kiddies one at that time.
Or could it be as a result of weaving? The educators at her childcare centre just like playing with her hair...African hair does them gish gish lol.

sheweezy: Sabi mamas good afternoon. Please help me what can I do about my sore and bruised nipples, even nipple cream is not working. Whenever my LO puts his mouth gbam, it rings in my brain till he is done sucking. Then please mamas how many injection will my baby be given at 6 weeks immunization. Thank you in anticipation for responses Pele. It will stop. Just ensure he latches on properly. The number of injections he gets, depends on what he is getting. If he will be taking pneumococcal, then he will get 2 injections...one on either thigh. If not, then just 1. |

Mosi01: Good evening mothers, please I need advice on the right baby car seat to buy.
There is the infant one that is good for newborns till 9months and the other big one which is too big for an infant by the way. Kinda need your help on deciding. Thank you #FTM Buy one that will last longer. Many car seats last up to 4 yrs, and they come with an infant insert. So when your baby is old enough, you remove the infant insert. This is the one my 9mth old uses, and it is suitable from 0-4yrs. It can recline, and is both forward and rear-facing. http://www.kmart.com.au/product/vantage-grey-convertible-car-seat/608331 |

NNBB2012: Sure, I concur. However, one needs to update their income with the centrelink to avoid paying back to the government at the end of the financial year. I read in the news that one woman was sentenced to jail for lying to centrelink, and claiming over 250k in benefits. She now has to pay it all back! |

NNBB2012: Yes, you eligible but be aware that child care benefit is income tested so it is not everybody that gets that. The prayer should be let me not be among those that collect that. Hahaha....but for a new migrant, it's almost sure you will qualify. Whatever it is sha, the rebate slashes it in half tho, regardless of your income. |

scrollmeout: Okay thanks. I pray it won't be too expensive. If you are a PR and working, then it wont be so expensive, as you qualify for the child care benefit and child care rebate. |

scrollmeout: Just consulted my Bro in Sydney. He says seeing that NSW 190 takes as long as 6 months, its probably better I wait till next month and apply for 189 which takes 3 months. I currently have 55points, I will get additional 5 points next month from years of experience.
Bossladymo1, there's another issue I've been thinking about. How do you manage to cater for your baby, seeing that you are currently working? Hope its not too personal to share? That was back when just anyone could apply for NSW sponsorship. But since they started sending out invites to qualified applicants, the wait time has reduced. But if you will get the points needed for 189 next month, then go for it. 189 does not restrict you to a state. My kids attend a daycare here. There is no traffic issue here, so I can afford to leave home 7:30am, even if I'm to resume by 8am....same for closing time. So they get their rest and are not stressed. |

scrollmeout: Hello my people,
I'm happy to announce the outcome of my PTEA scores (W 90, W 90, R79, S 71). If thank God for everything. It's a pity the owner of the place kept shouting while I was writing the test. I personally begged him to stop the madness but i guess he thought his business was more important. Yay! Seems candidates do better in Pte writing than Ielts writing. |

enilim: He did answer but what i really wanted to know is the ease of changing from 489 to 190 in months like you did. its under special condition in SA, one of the conditions is ability to get high marks. Thanks Changing to 190 from 489 onshore, is the same as applying for a 190 offshore. Once your occupation is on the list it should be on, then every other thing will fall in place. You can change to a 190 anytime after arrival. The only diff is onshore applications are sometimes processed faster by DIBP....which makes sense tho, as you are already here. |

enilim: Dear bosslady, your counsel will be highly appreciated. I submitted EOI to western Australia for program/project administrator over two months ago. yet to be nominated. I have 60 points with state nomination, in few months, i will lose 10 points because of age. The only other state with this occupation is Adelaide, they require 80 points to apply, I cannot make this 80 point even with superior English (retake IELTS). Do you think going for 489 may make a difference in the nomination for western Australia even though i still need to get a job in the region if i am nominated. I know you were on 489 and converted to 190 within months of arrival. Am thinking of this, please kindly advice me. Thank you NNBB2012 has answered you. Also, how come SA needs 80 points? I don't understand. 55pts is the minimum required for state nomination on 190, and 50 for 489. |

ferdiii: That other accountant with ICAN that we kept addressing and antispambot kept banning us. What's ur age? Pls go thru the three assessing authorities for accountants and decide the one u go with. U have to nominate an occupation that aligns up to 80% of ur duties...6yrs gives u 10points. Exactly what happened to me. Antispam bot banned me for 24hrs, after I quoted him. |

rieme26: My mum used towel soaked in warm water to massage the surrounding and the cord before cleaning with spirit. When cleaning with spirit make sure you clean the surrounding and the cord itself thoroughly. My son own fall off at 12days. We still massage with warm water till it heals completely. The whole warm water massaging is for internal healing. . A Matron advised we put little purit disinfectant in the warm water. LMAO at internal healing! Hahaha! Naija! |

lamdec: Thanks rieme28,dunnybaby26,rashomo and other mamas for the replies. We actually clean the. cord and.the area surrounding and beneath it thoroughly every time he feeds and every time we.change his diapers or sometimes whenever he wakes up from sleep, my mum makes sure she cleanses it thoroughly, I just want to be sure it's okay for it to take this long time to fall. I guess I will allow her do the hot compress, was advised against it at the hospital that cleaning it is enough. I will keep hoping it falls off soon. Thanks everyone. My 2 kids had theirs fall of at about 2 weeks or a little over 2 weeks. I didnt bother myself, cos it was not infected, neither was it smelling. I didnt do any hot water pressing either. All i did was clean with spirit every 3-4hrs or so. |
