Ifexsco: Hahahahahaha see three against one!! (scrollmeout @ewagbamio, bossladymo1) against Ifexsco! Evn Bosslady agrees her result was reflective of wat she wrote! Let's not argue, but its nt all about practising and writing, let's rember the technicalities of the marking, for example in writing, wats ur diction power? Hw good is ur word articulation and points articulation? Hw careful r you with tenses? Hw careful are u wit punctation and avoiding typos? I don't beat my own gong, I made 112/120 in TOEFL and wil ace PTE or watever English exam! I still belong to my school of thought, IELTS has no biz failing me, if I play by the rules, I will pass and pass well. No need for ur result to speak for you....you hv already made it in PTE because u will do all u hv to do well! God bless us all in our hustle to make great things out of life! Dont get me wrong. I still believe IELTS does something funny somewhere. I just gave my case as one of the examples of things turning out as expected....but there are many people whose results are not a proper reflection of their input. |

You can donate it to a Motherless baby's home, or give it to a Mother in need. Or you can keep it for those days your child decides to poo every 3 hrs. |

BKings: Thank you bossladymo. How long does it take from the moment of assestment to invitation(approximately). I will be 33 by November, thats a loss of 5 points. Assuming I start with IELTS next month, do you think I can be invited b4 Nov? Definitely you can. It depends on the state...but even the state with the longest wait time does not take more than 3 mths. Which state are you looking at? Which occupation? QLD will nominate you within 5 working days sef. |

scrollmeout: Ifexsco, I am with @ewagbamio, bossladymo1 and co on this one. I didn't get this this far in life by lazying around, i prepare for anything i undertake! I prepared for 2 months for my first IELTS, same for the others. I have the preparatory materials you mentioned and more. The reason i was confident enough to apply for a remark is that i was fortunate enough to see and prepare for the essay 2 question the night before my exam. I found the questions on www.ieltsbuddy.com. They have a compilation of most of all the questions in IELTS question bank, it was just by chance that the last essay i wrote before i went to sleep was what came out in he exam. I had all the points in my head, all i had to do was articulate them on a piece of paper! Guess what? same 'ol same 'ol. I wont dwell too much on this topic but i'd rather pray to God for guidance so my PTE result can do the "talking".
http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/231707-ielts-v-s-pearson-test-english-academic-pte-academic-my-personal-findings.htmlo I can almost guarantee you will do better in the PTE. I wont say I was affected though, cos my score was reflective of how well I did. I would have definitely applied for a remark if I had gotten anything less than an 8 in the reading, listening or speaking part. |

Sebamed all d way. Unfortunately, seba med is not available where I am. So when the Seba Med I brought along finished, I switched to Aveeno....and it is working just as well. My husband keeps asking whether I put foundation on my daughter's face hehehehe. Even for adults, Aveeno and Seba Med are good products for the skin. |

So how do you explain someone who could barely make a 7 all round or an 8 all round in IELTS, taking PTE, and passing well? There is something fishy somewhere. And it's not just Nigerians...the Asians are also complaining. There was a guy who was struggling to get a 7 in writing. He took the PTE and scored an 80 or so in writing....after taking IELTS 3x. The equivalent of an 80 in writing is an 8 in IELTS....and there are many other examples too. |

Either way, he is only screwing the guy. That's what happens when you dont arm yourself with information. If only the poster had taken his time to read a couple of pages on this thread, he would have read us discussing PR. |

dunnybaby26: My sis may God bless u,no ear swap was'nt done cos we didn't see d specialist bt we ar asked 2 com bac next week.bt as d doc saw d discharge he gav him antibiotics nd ear drop.I jst wish it goes away 4 life ds time.I wil start coverin it wen I bathe him now.thanks again Even a new graduate doctor knows that a sensitivity test has to be done in cases like this, so as to get the right treatment. I remember the doctor gave me Zinnat. The first one didnt work cos I didnt store the antibiotic properly....I was given another, and it worked. When you get to the hospital....tell them you want them to do an ear swab. What you sescribed is not as serious as seeing an eNT yet. Referral to a specialist is only done after the appropriate medications have been given. Also, store the antibiotic you are given in a fridge, and give the adequate dosage. Use cotton bud dipped in a little vaseline to block the ears when bathing. Did you get the pneumococcal vaccine? My son had it at 2 weeks as I said, and all the info on the internet pointed towards him having recurring issues because his started so young. But that was the only time he had it....and I feel it might be because he got the full dose of the vaccine. |

Can we stop this giving of little kids pure water thing. I attribute it to Laziness...yes Laziness! How hard can it be to boil water, let it settle, and store in a flask or bottles for your kid....haba!!!! Is it until you sleep in the hospital because of typhoid or cholera that you will realise the error of your ways?
Pure water sha? 7mth old baby? 7month old baby that should still be using sterilised or hot water washed bottles? Diarias God oooo!
And the annoying thing is most of the drugs that cure water-borne diseases are not fit for use in younger kids. The doctors only do a risk-benefit analysis before giving them. |

Prensently my LO has alefo(impetigo) and rashes on his body. Eela is even on his neck(wonder what causes ds), infact him body no smooth @al. If he has a smooth body ds week d following week, alefo or rashe go com, although I discover dt anytime he wear cloth to slp dts wen d alefo/rashe com bt wen I leave him to sleep wt only diaper, he wld av cof n cattarh. There was a time I used only powder bt his skin was jus peeling off, not smooth @al. Av tried johnson, agnesia, pricky heat bt presently I'm using rising baby powder. As for d soap I use cusson because I feel that's d only soap I know for babies. Sometimes, my baby used to lick soap wen baffin or it entas his eyes*first time mom* ...I started robbing sudocreme n his body ds morning cos I felt dt since sudocreme has been effective for diaper rash so I tot it shd work for all rashes*confused*. imurboss: Hmmm interesting.........can we link that to the rotavirus immunization u gave them( or u never did) or is it just a natural phenomenon with ur kids? ......##amlearning## Well...I gave them the Rotavirus vaccine. However, the Rotavirus illness is common in children above 1, not younger....and that's because children above 1 already relate with other kids, eat more adult food, eat at parties etc. So I dont think it's the rotavirus vaccine that helped them...my bestie's kids also didn't have issues with teething....and they didnt take the rotavirus vaccine. |

MiracleMum: Eeehnn ehnnn, while my friends daughter's doc told her that the daughter's cough is viral and advised her to change creche since the present one is over crowded. Of course you wont open your eye and put your child in a dirty creche to build immunity lol.....but children catching illnesses from Creche is inevitable. The doc just told me to brace up for the next 6months at least....but it will ease up after then. And the older your baby is, the more chances he has of catching something. |

MiracleMum: At times my tap water can get really cold oh, especially in the mornings or when it rains. I clean my baby's bum after poo with warm water and her caregiver's do same at the creche. It has to be warm water for my daughter, else she'd scream down the roof. Of course...the few times it's cold, you can easily warm up water or take water drom the flask. But with naija heat....if it's still the same as I remember....from the tap sef the water go dey hot lol |

Doc told me the whole illness in creche thing actually builds their immunity. It's inevitable. But you get the advantage when your 12yr old kid can easily shake off cough or cold, while Iya Musu's son has to take the entire week off school. |

Hahaha lol. Wonder why they don't even use water. Will be more hygienic and that way one can be assured they wash their hands after every diaper change I regretted buying the wipes I got. I find water to be more efficient, and faster. Take baby to the sink, turn on tap and shap shap ure done and your hands are washed also. |
