Politics › Re: Jibrin Of Sudan And The Audacity Of Fake News by bot101(m): 8:04am On Nov 17, 2018 |
OneManLegion: Such a beautifully written article, I almost wished it would never end!
At first, I thought the Jubrin story was just one of the many things Buhari was being taunted with knowing that Nigerians have a penchant for insults but like the author writes, the sheer tenacity of the story is mind-boggling especially considering that it's also being peddled by clearly lettered people.
It's disturbing. Fake news could be disastrous. I recall that there was a time the military engaged in medical outreach in the southeast only for IPOB to announce that the government was planning to infect their kids with diseases. The allegation on its own is ludicrous but the saddest part was that majority of those who heard this ran to the schools of their children and wards to withdraw their kids and effectively sabotage a wonderful inititiative because of a news that was being spread on whatsapp. Why?! Why can't we abstain from hateful politics? There's nothing as effective in combatting ineptitude as truth.
Please, my people, truth is always a better option than dangerous, divisive lies. If you must tell lies, do endeavour to avoid those that'd make you look irredeemably daft by sane folks. No one sows groundnut and reap mangoes. The current government in power got there by removing an incumbent through fake news. You all applauded their strategy using what we now know as "Lagos-Ibadan express" media houses. What did you think would happen after they were able to remove a sitting president through lies and propaganda? That others would not employ a method that proved that powerful?? Y'all should quit dreaming as the current government can do absolutely nothing about fake news, especially with the likes of Lai Mohammed as Information minister. They got there through that means, they are gonna leave there through that means. It's the law of Karma. |

The Jewish people from Israel publicly denounced, debunked and rejected you okoros fallacy depiction of their heritage. They've scientifically proven they're NOT in anyway associated or linked to you savages. But for una mind, una be 'jew'...
Jew ko, Galatians ni.. Read first, stop disgracing yourselves. The Onyx stone was found in Eri, the son of Gad's name is Eri. The star of David was found buried 500 feet underground in the mid 90s in Eri. The Eze Eri, spiritual head of the Igbo says we are of Gad, and consequently, of Isreal. Who are you idi*t? You are not Igbo, you are not Isreali, you know next to nothing of Igbo culture save for what you read on Nairaland, and yet you think you have a say in our matter?? I ask again, who are you idi*t?? |

That was what Yorubas were going through under Jonathan and when they complained those were the responses they got from our wonderful IGBO SOUTHERN BROTHERS!
Yet you wanted them to VOTE JONATHAN AGAIN SIMPLY BECAUSE HE IS A SOUTHERNER?
Is that how intelligent you people are? Haha..shot yourself in the foot. That's exactly what Buhari is doing to the Igbos, and in your own words "Yet you wanted them to VOTE BUHARI AGAIN SIMPLY BECAUSE HE IS A NORTHERNER?" |

You've already made one huge mistake by not putting your agreement in writing, especially stating what each party is to contribute to the project, as well as what each party gets in terms of equity. You also should state release clauses that determines what happens when one party decides to pull out of the project. That would have helped you figure what to do at this time that he's stalling, as well as keep him on his feet.
Going forward, I think you should firstly draft an agreement and get him to assent to it, then enforce the terms of that agreement. If that is not feasible, then I suggest you both part ways according to your original 60/40 percent, then you find someone else AND draft a writing, binding agreement, as well as set a deadline, taking into cognizance, what you got from your initial engagement with your current partner. Also, DO NOT SELL YOUR PROPERTY UNTIL YOU HAVE SORTED OUT EVERY ISSUE BOTH OF YOU ARE FACING AND THE PROJECT IS BACK ON TRACK, OR YOU HAVE BOTH GONE YOUR SEPARATE WAYS.

See the morally bankrupt folks attacking the op just for an advice he asked for. Truly it has, what I fear the most is that what we see today isn't even the tip of their iceberg. If this trend isn't reversed as quickly as possible, we may well be on a journey of no return as no one seems to care anymore, from the highest placed individuals to the poorest, from the parents to the priests, no one seems to care. |

Kashamaadupe: They might Be Yahoo boys and honestly they might not be , but then who are you to judge them?you want to report them to EFCC? Like you’re this perfect saint who’s done no wrong before. I’m not supporting them mind you! I do have neighbors here that behave just like the way you describe these sets of boys , used to believe they’re ‘internet Fraudsters’until my younger bro told me he knows one of them and they’re just upcoming artistes. They play loud music ,smoke weed & behave ‘abnormally’ sometimes. Overall o think the best thing you can do is report them again to the Landlord or better still Plead with them. Ení burù Mo trust me it always work.. Tomorrow you'll open you dirty mouth and say the nation is difficult, and politicians are wicked. You are worse than them because you do worse things than them and still judge them. Evil begets evil, and that leads to destruction. Myopic minded criminals who can't articulate the future effect of their crass lack of good judgment. |

troublemakea, the criminally minded idi*ts on this thread are telling you to mind your own business. Do not mind them as they also constitute nuisances where they stay and live a life of crime. The idi*ts are still the same hopeless youths that would tell you it's their turn to be leaders. Imagine these ones in positions of authority! Disaster waiting to happen!!!
The easiest way to reach out to the EFCC at a higher administrative level (less open to bribery and will force lower ranked agents to also not take bribes) is to reach out to their Twitter handle, but before that, I advice you get concrete evidence of Cybercrime (video recording of their acts or indicting audio recording of conversations between them) as proof before reaching out to the EFCC. Also, if possible, do so anonymously to avoid putting yourself in an endangered position. Cheers and send those rogues to jail. |

This babarity has no place in the new age, I commented on a topic yesterday, telling the OP that if you aren't violent in this country, nobody would listen to you, but they thought I was lying. Once the Shia carry proper weapons, the FG would be the first to call them to the negotiation table. Simple and short. |
