My experience was years back,like 7yrs ago.
A young scholar needed a laptop for his uncle,I got the laptop for him,he was walking holding the laptop in front of me all of a sudden someone ran out of his shop and attempted to drag the laptop from the young guy from OSU,I immediately snatched the laptop from the student and,na deir wahala start o.
The guess claimed the laptop was stolen from their shop,and I said they must provide details of the stolen laptop to check if its same as this,they gave out the configuration which is different ,so I said dey must bring out the invoice they used in buying the laptop b4 I can even drop mine to chech configuration,all these whle cum see crowd wey don gather me walai no be here oh,wheni now realised its outa hands I said I won't talk to nobody but going to any closest police post

my people my vet told me my boerboel had ear mite nd she s been shaking her hear rigorously and often, later i discovered dt she has lost apetite for food, den her eyes will be swollen in d mrng, d vet gave me ear ultra guard bt d shaking of head continues i feel sorry for her bt i dont kno what to do, i read somwhere online to apply mineral oil, i dont even know where to get dem, i stay on the island, pls help if you have any solution to the ear mite problem

As it is I would advice you 1st take a clean white handkerchief,mix dettol with water,soak handkerchief in the water,then use to clean its ear using ur fingers covered with the hanky to penetrate inside its ear to remove all the wax in there,try these for 3days,this should solve it except the case is severe,and if there's not improvement,get chloramphenicol ear and eye drops and put like 2 to 3 drops deep inside its ear 2ce daily and I bet ur dog ear mite is gone and he's back in shape.
Don't let ur vet visit the week u do these,so there won't be contradiction in medication

No be lie,I know that longu in lag,u will see plenty monkey different sizes hanging on trees and ceilings,but I hear u cannot kill anyone of dem and go with its body,that the monkeys will gather andattack you if you try to take D dead monkey,hear they take the body away themselves"maybe to bury"lol.na hearsay oh dunno how true.

No I can't get them in my area if I like I get all the existing champions in my compound and set the trap,I doubt if a single canary will come around.I have known this bird for many years now,none fly around where I reside

very true, u hardly see a canary flying around in lagos because of predator(hawk, falcon, etc)
You also might not get a good singer or trainer from those wild canary. The game has change, good bird (the singers and trainers ) are those trained from juvenile, and they very expensive because of singing pattern, and draws(unique sound).
Very good canary can cost b/w 70k-150k.
A bird by the name "blessing" was sold 1M last year. The bird is currently in Kano state now.
Bird lovers association of Nigeria will start bird' competition end this month. I wish u guys are located in lagos. Will try upload my bird' picture 2moro.

Very interesting,I have heard tales about them competing when I was a kid,and only happened to come across some ppl with the birds in their cars setting off for the competition,I learnt it was holding at the National stadium.

I think taking care of orphan pups or kittens isn't easy.whether it's cos d dam isn't lactating or she died due to Labour.
One has to clear out ones schedule, make sacrifices, routined feeding, checkups and it's even more hectic if u av a double figure amount of pups u taking care of.
What I can tell is adequate, supervised care has to b available round d clock.paws up to dog lovers

To be honest this is the part I dread in breeding
I always pray for 6 to 8 puppies,though I've had 11max.a friend had 16pups from a bb he used my stud for,2days after his french mastiff had 14pups making 30pups in his house and he was new to breeding,14pups survived from the boerboel & 4 from french,he had to transfer his staff @ D computer village to his kennel working shifts trust omo Igbo .
Its funny these dogs cant do it themselves especially with large litters,the large breeds too can pose a problem when they sleep on their pups,unlike smaller breed
A friend starts to seperate the pups from the mother from day 1 and only feeds dem for 2hrs,takes dem away from the mother to rest for 2hrs and returns back.so he does 2hrs feeding 2hrs rest,thru out the day,and he succeeds in surviving the pups this way.

If one can get finiancial breakthrough there,then it is worth it,because they live in a working system,good roads electricity,transport system et al works,if you have a good job and can plan your life to structure,you are happier than the stress in 9ja.except for the short tym of buhari,here in Nigeria too police can harras you when the see you running in the morning,the good thing about UK is they talk to you politely and apologise for wasting ur tme after their findings but 9ja police na staton str8 and u must pay bail.

I've had some over time but had never been lucky to keep one over 2yrs as they entually escape or eaten up by rats.

It strange you caught urs,I used to think they live n thick forests & once they are out of the cage,they only roam for sometime and finally out of sight as they fly to the forest.maybe evezz just escaped from someone when you caught him,as I'd never seen that bird around only in captivity.
I am buying 2 this week,I was supposed to buy last week but seller said he just brought them in and needs to hear their voices 1st before selling.
He had dem hung in different cages partly covered with newspaper so they don't see the champion as he sings,they try to immitate him and thereby opening their voices.

I don't have experience with orphan puppies but I've handled several orphaned kittens but I'm pretty sure the process will be the same. Before I was able to get puppy milk from the vet(Yes I used puppy milk for them) I searched online for home made formula recipes. The one I was able to make was with evaporated milk mixed with raw eggs. I made about 50cl of that and fed every 2 hours (even at night). I used a 10cc syringe to feed them the milk as I didn't have and feeding bottle. Because they couldn't regulate their body temperature, I made a hot water bottle (just hot-not boiling water). And put it in a corner of the box. And place a towel over it. They naturally went to the source of heat and when they felt warm enough they moved away from the bottle. It's important to make sure the hot water bottle is at the corner so they can move away if they feel too hot. Once I got the puppy milk and feeding bottle it was easier. As they got older I reduced feeding to 6 times a day until they were able to eat on their own which was from about 3-4 weeks.
I know it's not dogs but I believe the same process can be done on orphan pups

I have handled 16pups,but not totally a success as some died,I have heard tales of breeders buying,renting a newly whelped local dam for orphan pups,some breeders don't let the pups stay 24 with D dam and only allow her to feed the litter @ intervals and take the pups away to avoid sad tales.I always give up and expect the dam to do t herself @ dis time,thnkng who would ve helped if she was in the wild loose pups,I have had ppl survive all 16pups
What successful experiences of these can u share with us here.

A dam that will not lactate how do you feed the puppies
How do you supplement when the litter size is much more than the nipples like case of 16pups to 10 nipples.
What best feed,how to keep orphan pups warm,intervals to feed and what to note when feeding.

But I am worried that they play too much with each other and might not get to become the guard dogs they are meant to be.
I am thinking of making another cage so that I can separate them and keep them far from each other. What do u think?

Of cos they should be seperated @ that age
Their play should help the build their muscle tone.
As maturity sets in,their play wll reduce gradually.

Whatever I share here is what I have learnt from experience which has saved me lots.
Experience they say s the best teacher.
Only a very bad breeder will let pups stay in a wet and dirty cage such that can cause myasis.
I advertised supervision cos its the cause of their loss of appetite and later asked for the breed.
I don't bathe pups till they are gone to their homes.I make dem retain the puppy coat and u can't attain such standard if you let them stay in dirty and dampy environment.

Not to derail this thread,
The aim is loss of appetite and solutions not handling of breeds

U can be advised to continue to let them loose 24hr
But the solution is to supervise them and not let them sleep in moisty places which can only be achieved by supervised freedom as pups would only create moisty places to sleep in.
I can't imagine wanting to sell pups with sores all over!gosh

You should always learn to consider the scenario surrounding every issue and not use general measures to ts solution
@obstead200 D loss of appetite in ur dogs is obviously as a result of their recent unsupervised freedom,
I would never leave my pups unsupervised all night,only one nght I forgot to lock a litter n their crate and went to sleep,in days I was removing some sort of maggots from their body,"myasis"just from one night exploit.pups especially when patnered can be very destructive or suicidal.
As long as they spend tme with you,they already know who the family is and respect each of them accordingly no matter what the breed.

Some NLers with ITK sha,well with PHD na so e dey go.

Not locking round the clock but let loose only when you can supervise during the day and lock them up @ nyts.
