To be honest I find it hard to believe automedics like GAZZUZ can advice an ABS bypass.hhhhhmmmm
Talking about ABS bypass it has almost made me give up on my W210 E320,the ABS was bypassed cos of a failing calliper the kazeem could not detect and made the culprit ABS module which he bypassed with those sockets as shown in ur pictures,I used the car like that as most mechs I ask to restore it saw nothing wrong in bypassing ABS module.
When the wahala now started I was left OYO,it started with my tranny making a bang sound when changing gears till it would not even change aside Drive and Reverse,I was told the valvebody is gone,I bought another tranny,thisone worked for 2wks and the bang sound started again.I diagnosed again and the valve body is the culprit .hhhh I used the gear lke dat and felt I need to make some corrections on D car as I feel sometin holds it down like I press sliightly on D brakes wen I'm driving in slow pace.I changed callipers,hubs,shafts,axle and still same thing.
I gave up and thought to change the 3rd tranny,I got another tranny and I notice immediately after fixing dat tranny attempt to change but other things hinder it.I know I can't buy another tranny "Not Me"so I decided to look into the ABS module bypassed.I got a good ABS module restored the pipes and alas everything plus my brakes became sharp again.with D bypass the brake was a total mess.
Now see the stress and money wasted on a silly move of ABS module bypass,made me to buy 2 tranny,Hub,axle,shaft,which the culprit is just calliper.the kazeem was unable to detect and bypassed ABS.
LonelyDora I said u were lucky cos if u used the car a bit longer with the bypass,it will affect ur valvebody as those cables on the module works with speed sensors which relates to the tranny.
ABS bypass any Kazeem that does that is bad enough to park ur car @ his workshop till further notice,maybe to sell off or let it rott

You can only try it in older cars that are not sensitive,infact icant even try it on a W124 1988 autodrive sef

Even Briscoe and Elizade sometimes source their parts from Ladipo,especially for a car that old,and in this case,even Briscoe and Elizade will advice the double cell due to unavailability of the single,in those days,when you ship in a benz with single cell,despite single cell being the OEM,we ate mostly adviced to change to double as our temp s diff from theirs.

I would only go for a V6/V8. Power delivery is much better, and so much smoother than the I4 will ever be. An inline 4 gets coarser at higher rpm, and to match a V6/V8 require the use of a balancer shaft.

And for those that feel the V6  is thirstier, think again. The extra fuel any engine demands is more to do with the engine capacity, and design. An old Peugeot 505 2,0 I4 will drink more than a 2000 Toyota Camry 3,0 V6.

Nigerians need to think beyond what their quack mechanics tell them. For those that feel an I4 engine's the bee's knees, would you buy a 2004 Volkswagen Touareg V6, then get your mechanic to replace the engine with an I4, just to satisfy his inadequacies when it comes to V6/V8 engines?

And lastly, no such thing as a V4, same way not all 6 cylinder engines are V6. Some are inline six (I6). Examples of I6 are the 6 cylinder engines used by BMW and Nissan Skyline R series.

Correct I was going to say or ask the bolded cos everyone mistakes the i6 for V6,but its very obvious in the mercedes as most of theur V6 has 12plugs and V8 16 plugs,let me scare u the more.lol .but the truth is even with the nos of plugs their economy cannot be compared to their older designs with the i4 and i6 engines.as technology advances fuel economy in cars is one thing they tend to improve on.

As small as that ABS is,A bad ABS pump can cause the car to malfunction in many ways.
I had brake failure sometime ago in Ibadan & the Kazeem that came to my rescue had to by pass my ABS pump,I drove the car back to Lagos and after some days I started noticing my gears selects with a bang and wouldn't go beyon gear 3.for this reason I got some many things changed in the car including the gear box.I bought 2 gearboxes before I finally rememba it might be problem with the ABS pump bypassed,I got another ABS and alas the car is back on the roads again.
Never let any kazeem bypass ABS pump in ur car,they do wen lazy to trouble a braking problem

Its pays to be wise.
1st thing to adapt when it rains is patience. I.e its safer to be patient for the flood to clear,rather than stress the car through the flood and go humble @ the mechanic workshop afterwards
2ndly some cars breakdown in the middle or just shortly after the flood and dey now have to put their feet in D water and using towels to damp water from the car,and calling roadside mechs to cause further problems.

I have learnt overtime not to have the mentality of "I must get this car home today"if I see a road that seem dicey,I don't mind looking for a secured place to park the car get my things out and move on.when I come for it the next day,I'm always glad @ the decision,cos some that forced theirs are still there the following day with mechanics troubleshooting their cars.

But OP that plank is too big na,I have never seen any car with such,maybe danfos that can sharperly remove one of its seat .
However jacking with that kind of big plank will not let the jack balance properly except the jack is placed in the centre of the plank,even @ dat it still won't be as balance as a smaller harder plank that not much wider than D jack

3 most important documents d seller should provide u r allocation of plate reg, proof of owner ship n vehicle license. pls ensure d Vl is renewed up to date, except u won't mind paying for all yrs not renewed yourself.

with these documents, u will get change of ownership n plate replacement, having all d docs in ur own name.

Tokunbos don't have all these aside the custom papers which consists of the duty et al,checking authencity of custom papers requires an expert so I advice u have an expert have a look @ D documents u were handedby the seller or ur clearing agent,sometimes they cut corners @ ur risk

Its funny sha,u came and met them about to tow ur car and u let them do it and even gave them ur keys,you should have tried all means to make sure the car is not towed,you should ve created a scene @least if shitta boys help u put mouth u would ve just settled the KAI like 5k as u met them on it,now e don enter voice mail,u will be treated by D books.
Always make sure u park @ appropriate parking spaces,even if u see cars parked somewhere,still endeavour to ask if its allowed to park there,sometimes cars are parked @ unathorised parking zone and only the 1st or the last car falls the victim

If you have settled they don't give you the highway code booklet and give those that have not settled,once the officer see u with the highway code booklet,he know u ave not settled and stresses .

Yea CMR,all the years I have been driving especially on lagos roads I have never added any CMR to my documents and have never been asked for it,when I did my car documents recently the agent asked me to do CMR but I did not even give it a 2nd thought,I think he only wants to extort me.

Firstly, I don't fink d change of ownership u've done is d proper one.
Dis is because 4 u 2 do a proper change of ownership, u must 1st obtain dis 3 documents:
affidavit for change of ownership which comes with a reciept,
Police report
And cmr (central motor registry) For coo

2ndly, for u 2 change all ur vehicle documents 2 ur name, u can't use d former owner's no plate be it old or New no plate.

If d no plate is d old one, den after d proper coo, u will have 2 do replacement of no plate and at dis point u will be asked 2 return d old no plate 2 gov b4 d now one is given 2 u and by so doing? All documents will den be given in ur own name.

If d no plate is d new one, u will have 2 return it 2 d owner as he can use it on any oda of his vehicle. Den after d proper coo, u will have 2 do what we call re-registration of already registered vehicle and dis comes with a new no plate and all vehicle documents in ur name.

But if u intend 2 continue using d former owner's no plate, what dis implies is dat u will also continue driving ur vehicle on d fomer owner's name which we really don't advice.

Reason: assuming d former owner had used dis vehicle as a collateral some where and at d point of payment cld not pay up, since dis vehicle is still in his name and dey can trace all his belongings, what do u fink will happen?

I agree with achalu on the authencity of ur new change of ownership,u need not wait for the expiration of the documents before you can change names,but go ahead and input the new names changed to reflect on the other docs,2ndly I doubt you can do change of ownership using the former owners plate nos except if the plate no is the old one,which if it is the old one,u have to change as well.
I advice u shine ur eyes and log onto the sites to check authencity of ur car documents before VI0 does the check 4 u

ls there any particular (trusted) place one can buy either synthetic or semi synthetic oil in Lagos? I do buy at Ladipo but sometimes when you get there, you may notice that the particular brand you are used to has finished, hence, making you to switch to another brand.

Ur best bet for oil is the service stations,if ur car recommends Mobil 1 buy from only authorised mobil stations,and if u re using Total but only from Total stations,never patronise hawkere as u cannot guarantee what they have in the gallons,

This is a problem I had with my W210 E class.I would just advice u not to use the car like that to save the the expenses of buying a new tranny as further use will damage the tranny.
I understand the solenoids in the tranny hates water,and is already having effects on ur gears that's why u have problems with gear changing.
Solution is to change the entire radiator,and drain the gear oil totally,then replace with new ATF,if you are lucky the gear is not yet damaged.

There is adin agbon and adi dudu.adin agon I think is like baby oil or groundnut oil,while the adi dudu is dark like already used groundnut oil.Generally oily stuff kills the mange mites,The vets can recommend maxitraz,and sometimes mixed with wound healing oil.
I think I prefer adi dudu ,especially when I have to deal with pups,though I hear ppl say its good to give pups to drink,I have never tried it,but I know its good as dey give babies too

I have a cheaper means now cos I have a very large dog that it body can take up2 whole bottles of maxitraz after bath and the adi dudu,he can use up to half of the 1k5 quantity and seems mange recurs frequently wit D particular dog,
Now I use old transmission oil.lol
