PoliticsRe: Tears As Lagos Demolishes Oshodi Market (PHOTOS) by Boyoorisha: 5:59pm On Jan 06, 2016
xtrorp:
“Karma comes after everyone eventually. You can't get away with screwing people over your whole life, I don't care who you are. What goes around comes around. That's how it works. Sooner or later the universe will serve you the revenge that you deserve.” - Jessica Brody

In Lagos under 'One Nigeria' there seem to exist a silent economic war of destruction of livelihood, burning of markets in the middle of the night, extortion and harassment of genuine businesses by official area boys and street urchins, illegal/multiple taxing of business owners, in markets where Igbos operate e.g. Tejuoso, Alaba International and Ladipo. And now Oshodi electrical & electronic market.

Many of these attracious deeds are conducted at odd times when the traders won't be available to resist the dastardly acts.

Over the decades in the South-West, the Yorubas have systematically burnt Igbo shops as a guise to hijacking the markets from Igbos.

https://www.nairaland.com/2618835/hoodlums-shut-down-alaba-international

Prior to the 2015 general elections, amidst the threat by the lagoon crooner to drown Igbos, 18 Chisco transport buses were criminally burnt down in Lagos and up till date nothing was done to bring the culprits to book.

What does 'One Nigeria' mean?
A deceit where you are empowered to share my crude oil and wealth as 'One Nigeria' while I am considered a migrant to your State whom you're just merely accommodating and may perish in the lagoon at your command.

It is a chaotic situation where the Oba of a place would invite the representative of a people for discussion in his palace as regards a market leadership dispute only to set an ambush for him and unleash hundreds of thugs to flog and disgrace him.

It is an unjust situation where you're licensed to use foul means to destroy my business in your State with outrageous taxes. You can close my business premises at will while your elites continue to shout 'One Nigeria' to cover up the evils and injustices prevalent in the land. And you still expect me to be docile and continue to suffer silently as your hate and envy for my progress soar high.

Now, do you have any case for unity - fake or imaginary?

If you have there would no need fooling and playing to the gallery and shouting 'One Nigeria'. Or have you ever heard 'One Great Britain', 'One United States of America', 'One Germany'?
That shows that something is fundamentally wrong which many have been shying away from.

Is it a crime for any person/group to choose to opt out of a relationship?

Strange bedfellows, with irreconcilable value systems that are at best suitable for the individual selves, are not meant to be together! The 102 years of existence attest to that verdict!

Victor Hugo once said "no army can stop an idea whose time has come" and that "one can resist the invasion of armies but not the invasion of ideas".
Yes you are very correct, it is karma. I was duped with my friend in that same place many years ago. When you guys duped people, made unclean quick money, you never remembered there was anything like karma, now you are shouting

Yeah, you are correct
HealthEbola Is Found In Doctor's Eye Months After Virus Left Blood by Boyoorisha(op): 3:33pm On May 08, 2015
For the first time, Ebola has been discovered inside the eyes of a patient months after the virus was gone from his blood.

Ebola has infected more than 26,000 people since December 2013 in West Africa. Some survivors have reported eye problems but how often they occur isn't known. The virus also is thought to be able to persist in semen for several months.

The new report concerns Dr. Ian Crozier, a 43-year-old American physician diagnosed with Ebola in September while working with the World Health Organization in Sierra Leone.

He was treated at Emory University Hospital's special Ebola unit in Atlanta and released in October when Ebola was no longer detected in his blood. Two months later, he developed an inflammation and very high blood pressure in one eye, which causes swelling and potentially serious vision problems.

He returned to Emory, where ophthalmologist Dr. Steven Yeh drained some of the fluid and had it tested for Ebola. It contained the virus but tears and tissue around the outside of his eye did not.

That suggests that casual contact with an Ebola survivor poses no public health risk, but shows that survivors need to be monitored for the eye problem, Yeh said.

Crozier has not fully recovered his vision but continues to improve, Yeh said.

Dr. Jay Varkey, an Emory infectious disease specialist, said those involved in Crozier's care wore recommended protective gear and monitored themselves for Ebola symptoms for several weeks afterward as a precaution.

Doctors discussed the case at an Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology conference in Denver on Thursday, and the New England Journal of Medicine published their account online.

Earlier Thursday, the World Health Organization said that the number of Ebola cases reported in Guinea and Sierra Leone last week dropped to its lowest total this year. And Liberia, which has had the most deaths in the outbreak — more than 4,700 — plans on Saturday to declare the outbreak over in that country unless new cases are discovered.

Dear Lagosian,

Yoruba,s are very decent and reasonable people. No tribe will entertain on their land what is going on in Lagos.

We all condemn the statement of OBA AKIOLU. But let ask ourselves one important question, WHY IS OBA AKIOLU ANGRY WITH IGBOS?

My answers are:

1. I WILL ELEVATE EZE NDIGBO TO THE STATUS OF OBA OF LAGOS - JIMI AGBAJE.

2. IGBO WILL DETERMINE WHO RULES LAGOS- IFEANYI UBAH

3. LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND.- IFEANYI UBAH DURING TAN CAMPAIGN.

4. IGBO DEVELOPED AND CONTROL LAGOS- JIMI AGBAJE DURING GEJ CAMPAIGN IN AKWA IBOM

5. WE MUST PRODUCE THE NEXT DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF LAGOS- EZE NDIGBO

MY QUESTIONS TO IGBOS,

1. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED?

2. CAN EMIR OF KANO ACCEPT ....?

3. DO YOU HAVE ANY SINGLE TRIBE IN YOUR CABINET IN THE EAST?

4. CAN ANY TRIBE CLAIM ONITHSA OR ABA TO BE NO MAN,S LAND?

5. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT THE ELEVATION OF SARKIN HAUSA IN ONITHSA TO OBI STATUS?

My conclusion: We have been living together as brothers for years in peace. You must respect our tradition and institutions.Ifeanyi Ubah should stop jumping around Lagos beating drums of war.

GOD BLESS YORUBA AND IGBO

PoliticsFayose Embarrassing Our Family, Says Brother by Boyoorisha(op): 7:30am On Mar 23, 2015
Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose’s eldest brother, Segun, has appealed to the governor to stop embarrassing the family.

He said their father was a gentle pastor, who built and sustained a good name for the family, before joining his ancestors.

The elder Fayose spoke with our reporters in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

He said rather than sustain the good name which he inherited, the governor has been embarrassing other Fayoses with the way he insults elders like former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

Segun, who is a United Kingdom-based accountant, said the family cherished the name it inherited from its late patriarch.

Emphasising that their father died with contentment, the elder Fayose said the family was known in Ekiti for sound character found in every omoluabi.

http://thenationonlineng.net/new/fayose-embarrassing-our-family-says-brother/

He described Chief Obasanjo as Ayo Fayose’s benefactor.

Segun said: “It is a pity Nigerians are celebrating criminals. I am angry with Nigerians for electing somebody like Ayodele as governor. My children cannot come to Nigeria because of the terrible situation of our country.

“I don’t have a relationship with any of our leaders because of their criminality and anybody who says I collected money from the opposition should step forward to challenge me. Ekiti and Nigeria are bigger than Fayose’s name and both names should be protected.

“I don’t want anything from anybody, but Ayo should stop insulting and abusing my father’s name. As a result of Fayose’s attitude, many people believe the Fayose family is rude but it is far from the truth.

“I have spoken to him many times, but he refused to listen. Buhari and Obasanjo are old enough to be his father and I don’t know why he should be insulting them.

“I am always sad with the situation of this country. Ayo’s arrogance is one of the reasons I said people should not vote for him prior to the Ekiti governorship election. If all I am saying is not true, my six children should die and I should end up in shame.

“Most of us abroad are not happy with the situation of Nigeria. We are sad. When people call me from Ekiti to complain about Ayo, I tell them to forgive the family. People should not see Ayo as an ambassador of our family.”

PoliticsSave Me From Defeat, Jonathan Begs PDP Govs by Boyoorisha(op): 9:46am On Feb 17, 2015
Not wanting to take chances or ignore the formidable forces arrayed against him within and outside his ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the build up to the rescheduled general elections, President Goodluck Jonathan, on Friday night met stakeholders of the party.
Jonathan
The object of the meeting was how to maximise the opportunity offered by the new poll’s date, March 28, 2015, to swing more support and votes for the second term ambition of the President.
According to Dino Melaye, former member of the House of Representatives, who first broke the news in his official tweeter handle (@dino_melaye), the meeting was attended by PDP governors, members of the party’s National Executive Committee and some key persons, including Tony Anenih, chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) and Edwin Clarke, a party leader.
“The President who spoke after lengthy discussions by participants at the meeting chaired by PDP National Chairman, Adamu Mu’azu, thanked those present particularly the governors and NEC members, assuring them of his total support.
“He appealed to the governors to stave off the impending loss at the poll and called for collaboration to ensure victory at the polls.
“We must work hard to save the party and all our contestants. It is true, the report out there is call for great concern and this is why we must use the new window in the poll shift to talk to Nigerians, woo them and even beg them where necessary,” Melaye said.
Also speaking, Chief Anenih begged the gathering to put more efforts in their various states to ensure victory in the coming election. For him: “It is either we win or perish together.”
Melaye also revealed that Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State, blamed the conspiracy by some unnamed elements, in reply to an otherwise rhetorical question by Clark as to why the President is seemly unacceptable despite all his laudable achievements.
Jonathan“Please my people I beg you, this election is a must win for our president and all of us,” Chief Clark was quoted as saying.
The meeting was attended by all governors under the party’s platform, except Isa Yuguda and Sule Lamido Bauchi and Jigawa states respectively, who were also not represented.
At the meeting, which held at the First Lady’s Conference Hall in the Presidential Villa, ending minutes after 6 a.m. on Saturday, Mu’azu was said to have lamented the way inter-party wrangling had been allowed to degenerate to the point where five governors dumped the PDP at the same time.
The governors are Murtala Nyako (Adamawa) who was subsequently impeached; Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara); Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers State); Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano); and Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto).
They were part of the group called G7 Governors in the aftermath of the elections of the now splinter Nigerian Governors Forum, dumped the party first for the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM), before moving to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the nation’s main opposition party. The other two: Dr. Babangida Aliyu and Lamido of Niger and Jigawa respectively, however, chose to stay back in the PDP at the last moment.
As the meeting progressed, Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State was said to have announced a Presidential approval for the distribution of N20 billion among some state governors, just as key swing states like Kano, Lagos, Rivers and Kaduna would get N2 billion to woo voters.
Another “N2 billion was also set aside to buy some political and public analysts to talk more about Mr. President and his achievements over the last six years. Some TV stations such as AIT and Channels would do the job,” he added.
Those at the meeting, Melaye continued, were particular pained by the exit of the governors of Rivers and Kano, which were PDP strongholds before now.
It was further learnt that there was a mild drama at the point when the party chairman tactically blamed the First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, for allowing matters to degenerate to the point where the problem she had with Amaechi snowballed into his leaving the PDP. The intervention of Clark was said to have saved the situation from going worse.
The party’s chairman was also said to have taken a hard look at the build-up to the election and cautioned Femi Fani-Kayode, Director, Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, who was also at the meeting, and Olisa Metuh, Publicity Secretary of the party.
Melaye said both men were told that their propaganda activities seem to be having a backlash and rather making the APC candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari more popularly rather than the contrary.
“Instead of the current situation, he called for more issue based campaigns rather than attacking Buhari’s people as most of the campaign materials already churned out have done, if the PDP must get good support from the ordinary northerner.
“The meeting agreed to reduce negative adverts on Buhari, but Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti and his counterpart from Ondo saw it differently,” he noted.
Calls by Daily Independent to the phone numbers of Metuh, the PDP spokesman, did not connect, just as short messages to his phones were not replied as at press time.
When contacted on telephone, Fani-Kayode who neither confirmed nor denied that the meeting actually held promised to return a call to him. When he did, he said it was not true. “No meeting of such took place,” he said.
In a phone interview with our correspondent on Sunday evening, Anenih, who allegedly arrived the meeting venue in company of Clarke, denied knowledge of such a meeting, talk more of being in attendance.
He told Daily Independent from his Abuja base: “I am not aware of such meeting. I have been in Benin and just landed in Abuja.
Chief Anenih: “When was the meeting held?
Daily Independent: “Between Friday night and very early Saturday morning, Sir.
Chief Anenih: “I have been in Benin (City), I just arrived Abuja… Why not call Mu’azu…”
But another source told one of our correspondents that the meeting indeed held and that members of the PDP National Executive Committee moved from the party’s Wadata Plaza secretariat in Abuja, where they held a meeting to the Presidential Villa that Friday night.

PoliticsExposed:judge Paid N2bil To Disqualify Buhari; Plot Thickens To Blackmail Jega by Boyoorisha(op): 10:14pm On Feb 08, 2015
After succeeding in securing poll postponement, PDP has begun its next move to ensure that the presidential candidate of APC, General Muhammadu Buhari, does not emerge as the winner of the election.

After the postponement announcement, PDP was quick to applaud the decision while APC fumed. Millions of Nigerians sneered, even as people around the world took the news of postponement as a shock too difficult to believe. But close watchers of Nigeria’s political trend believe the success of this first move is critical to the next move to ensure Buhari is not allowed to contest the election.

Sources confirmed that it was not the security issue that was the problem in driving the election postponement agenda, it was Buhari that PDP leaders do not want. They also feared Jega is too independent and difficult to rally into the PDP scheme that will ensure that Jonathan succeeds in the plot and so he must also go.

As PDP celebrates the postponement success, the President’s kitchen cabinet is pulling another string again to ensure that if he cannot have his way to take another shot at the presidency, Buhari’s hope must also be dashed and Nigerians’ desire for change is aborted.
As reported by The Monitors few days ago, dependable sources in the know of the plot have again confirmed that the Presidency has procured a pliable judge with a bill of N2billion to give a disqualification verdict that will bar Buhari from the presidential election holding on March 28. Events in the court tomorrow, Monday February 9, will shape the events to come as already concluded by the President’s men.

It was learnt that National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki, Chief Edwin Clark, all service chiefs, some Yoruba leaders opposed to Tinubu’s clout, Ayo Fayose, and several others are insisting that Jonathan should deploy “everything at your disposal to stamp your authority to have your way”.

Fayose reportedly insisted that the President should deploy soldiers in Ekiti State, saying that he had information that APC is planning Ekiti as its base to launch resistance against the plan for the president to have his way. Sources hinted that Fayose’s suggestion was supported by Omisore, Obanikoro, Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan and Buruji Kashamu.

Sources hinted though that a caucus within PDP is urging caution against rushing into the court matter on Monday, but they explained that this is a tactical plan to cool the anger among Nigerians who are not happy about the postponement. “This may boomerang,” they reportedly cautioned.

Sources confirmed that the safety net for the judge who will disqualify Buhari is immediate relocation to Dubai where a palatial home is already prepared for him and members of his family. The plan is to relocate the judge finally from Nigeria, For the judge’s safety, he is to leave the court straight for the airport for a waiting airplane to fly him out to safety.

As part of the bargain, his proxy in Nigeria is to execute the multi-billion naira contracts facilitated by the presidency to enable the judge have a blissful sojourn in Dubai.

Starting from Monday, relentless allegations of illegal conducts will be launched against Jega. They will include embezzlement, INEC contract scams, secret deals with APC and sundry alleged crimes that will paint Jega black that will natural elicitate clamours for his sack to save the credibility of the election.

More media smear campaigns will be launched against Buhari and Jega with AIT and NTA playing leading roles. More Yoruba leaders will be drafted to lend anti-Buhari/Jega voice in the media. OPC members loyal to Faseun group will be heavily mobilized. Gani Adams is reportedly being cautious about his involvement, but reports suggest he is under tremendous pressure from Governor Segun Mimiko to join in pro-Jonathan scheme.

This came as details of Ekiti poll fixing scandal involving the President, Ayo Fayose, Musiliu Obanikoro, Chris Uba, Iyiola Omisore, General Momah and others emerged at the weekend.

It is believed that in days ahead, this scandal will dominate political space with more pressure on Fayose with Jonathan having difficulty to defend himself over his alleged involvement in Ekiti scandal.

According to sources, international media may take Ekiti matter beyond what the President may have ever contemplated. In fact, sources said Jonathan would meet the most embarrassing moment of his life as events unfold on Ekiti issue.

Facts had earlier revealed in a secretly recorded meeting of Jonathan’s men held at Fayose’s Spotless Hotel which confirmed that President Jonathan was the chief author of the scandal. That much Obanikoro explained in his speech while telling the army officer to get serious in his assignment.

Obanikoro had said in the tape: “I am not here for a tea party. I am here to carry out the assignment by Mr President.”

Details of how Fayose and his gang got INEC computers and soft copy of election materials were revealed by Fayose and Chris Uba during discussion and this was secretly recorded in the meeting.

The Army officer, Captain Sage Koli, who secretly recorded the meeting, has since resigned his commission from the Nigerian Army and fled to exile. In the tape, Fayose was heard fuming, giving details of his plan that involved the President, Chief of Army Staff, Brigadier General Momah of the 32 Artillery Brigade based in Akure. Fayose was also heard talking about how he collected soft copies of sensitive materials from INEC, including its computers. Details of the scandal are on the nets being read around the world.

Now that Jonathan will find it difficult to connive with bad elements in INEC to have access to its computers and soft copies of the election materials for illegal printing of ballot papers to fix March 23 and April 11 polls, the option left is to get rid of Buhari and blackmail Jega to force his resignation. The plan is already concluded, but whistle-blowers are at work to save Nigerians from the callous anti-democratic behaviour of the President who is fast building a reputation for himself as the most dangerous President Nigeria has ever produced.

President Jonathan has drawn a line between his ambition and Nigerians’ desire to elect the President of their choice. How the president hopes to win the battle is left to conjecture. But it is not in doubt that corrupt judges, in spite of their oath of office, have constituted themselves as a big challenge to the growth of democracy in Nigeria. But sources said Jonathan and the judge and their collaborators will be shocked out of their wits by the time the whistle-blowers monitoring their plans release the more details of their perfidy to the world leaders who abhor corruption and election manipulations.

The Monitors is on their trail too. Details of their next move will be released as they come.

PoliticsWhy I Leaked Ekiti Election Rigging Tape – Nigerian Army Captian by Boyoorisha(op): 1:16pm On Feb 07, 2015
Captain Sagir Koli who leaked the #EkitiGate audio and documentary which had Governor Ayo Fayose, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Iyiola Omisore, Brigadier General Momoh and others planning how they will stifle and trample the opposition using the military and other security agencies said he did it for the unity of Nigeria and the military.

“In order to strengthen the unity and continue existence of Nigeria, I call on the federal Government to desist from using the military for partisan politics. This is to avoid the military from being divided along ethnic and regional lines which is dangerous to the defence of the nation,” Koli said.

In an affidavit titled: How the Nigerian Army personnel were used to rig Ekiti and Osun States Gubernatorial Elections 2014., Captain Sagir Koli gave details of all that transpired between himself, his Commanding officer, two Ministers and some politicians prior to the elections in the state.
See the full text of his submission below:

Staff In Confidence

How the Nigerian Army personal were used to Rig Ekiti and Osun States Gubernatorial Elections 2014.

1. I was officially deployed as the 32, Artillery Brigade Intelligence Officer to provide credible Intelligence to the success of Ekiti State governorship election. At about 2030 hours on June 2014, a day to the election proper, the commander, Brigadier General AA Momoh told me to escort him to a place where the State Minister for Defence wanted to see him.

Reaching the place (Spotless Hotel in Ado- Ekiti), which serves as coordinating campaign office for the PDP candidate Mr. Ayodele Fayose, we met the Minister himself, Mr of Police Affairs, Mr Fayose, My Iyiola Omisore, one Honoruable Abdulkareem and host of other top PDP chieftains.

The Outcome of what was discussed that gave the party victory during the election are as follows:

A. They told brigade commander that they are on presidential assignment and they cannot afford to fail. Also, they told him that they were there to remove any obstacles that would block their victory and the commander is the key; therefore, he has no option but to collaborate with them. They said, if the commander play(ed) with them, his promotion is in their hands and the president and the chief of army Staff would be very angry with him and he knows what that means.

B.They directed that soldiers on election duty must work hand in hand with the PDP agents and give them all the necessary support they needed without limitation.

C. They ordered the arrest of selected APC stalwarts that could greatly assist the party during the election including the DG campaign organisation for Dr Fayemi Mr Bimbo Daramola. APC members in Ekiti State should be interviewed of what they went through. We were forced to do a dirty job for them with a threat of court martial.

D.They directed that soldiers must block APC members’ access to the electorates but all PDP supporters’ movement anywhere using a designated sticker with inscription, “National Security Task” it should be noted that some of these PDP agents were given NYSC uniforms because we were well briefed by the commander.

E. Chief Chris Uba who also said he was from the presidency entered Ado- Ekiti a day to the election accompanied by 16 commissioned Army officers (Major and below) led by Major Ujung of 82 Base Ammunitions Depot from Nigeria Army 82 Division Enugu. Their major task was to effect arrest and move secret materials and money. This money was brought from CBN Umuahia.
Photo: SaharaReporters

Photo: SaharaReporters

F. Chief Chris Uba was physically present with the soldiers and the commander at Forward Operational Base (FOB) close to government house in Ado- Ekiti. He personally supervised the movement of the strike force. This act of a civilian directing military operation is highly unprofessional and tarnishing of the military discipline and regimentation.

G. Chief Chris Uba entered Ado-Ekiti a day to the election accompanied by military/police escort with 2 black tinted Hilux Vans with “secret” materials according to him. Items inside the vans were 1000/500 Naria notes closed and cloned marked ballot papers.

H. Chris Uba, Minster of police Affairs, Obanikoro and Co said this is just a test run that should not fail and its to be done in SS and SW states, moreover, Rivers State to make sure Rotimi Ameachi bow to the federal government.

2. Based on the aforementioned, they succeeded in rigging the Ekiti State election with victory in all the 16 LGAs.

These really inspired them and they were with the euphoria that same would happen in Osun State. In preparation of the plans, they confirmed the posting of the commander and task him to prepare for Osun State election (remember that Osun State is not part of 32 Artillery Brigade Area of operations) but they ordered the Nigerian Army Construction Engineers Commander Brigadier General Adeyemi to proceed for 3 weeks compulsory leave until after the election just to pave way for General Momah to repeat the same dirty work that he has done to them in Ekiti State.

3. In build-up towards the Osun State elections, the commander directed me as his intelligence officer who has worked with him perfectly in Ekiti State to go ahead and recce (Army word for Spy or Survey ) the area as well as familiarize myself with all stake holders for the election. While I and my team were working for the operations, the commander was in Abuja re-strategizing how to use the military to rig the elections.

Feelers based on my discussion with him on phone confirmed to me beyond reasonable doubt that we were repeating the same compromise in Osun State.

My heart got burnt and become disenchanted and in total disagreement with such being professional junior officer aspiring to become a General tomorrow.

4. However efforts to explain my grievances prove abortive due to the military dictatorial hierarchy in channel of communication vis a vis threat of court martial from the commander.

I resorted to alert the APC high level officials with the aim of stopping Army from partisan involvement during election. A week to the election, the commander came back from Abuja and he made revelations being their final arrangement on how the PDP was to become victorious in Osun state as follows:

A. After welcome address by the commander, he thanked all his staff officers, and said “you all know who we are working for, so you guys MUST follow my direction. I am working for the presidency and the ruling party as you all know, is no longer a hidden thing” for those of you who are moles among us, the presidency is watching you, be careful because the consequence will be severe.

I learnt that some of you went to Lagos and met with Tinubu without knowing that his line is already bugged at Abuja, then we are in trouble, but before somebody will kill me I have to kill him first” (referring to me). The commander asked how many of us were involved, that I should say the truth, he now held a secret talk with the operation officer and military police officer to tie and handcuff me to Army HQs, from there I know that my life was in danger.

B. The commander categorically told us that the soldiers were to work under PDP agents while their platoon commanders only supervise the soldiers conduct. He briefed the officers that were working the list of agents and those to be arrested at the SGF office in Abuja and once the list is out everybody must work with accordingly.

C. The commander briefed us on the formation of a strike-force in conjunction with police, DSS and NSCDC and he would command the strike force directly. Their duty was to work directly with the PDP aspirant for arrest and intimidation of APC supporters in their strong hold.

D. Money was shared openly at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede to the strike force to ensure compliance.

5. Having said all of the above, I must state before concluding that:

A, My brother Adamu Koli a 15yrs old school boy was under detention since on the 2nd August 2014. The boy stays with me at 32 Artillery Brigade Akure.

B. Brigadier General AM Dikko who they consulted initially for the scam insisted that the army must remain professional and apolitical, was disgracefully removed from his command which he served only for 7 months just to allow General Momoh to carry out the dirty work.

6. Last but not the least, to further substantiate my submission and how my dear-loving, hard-achieving noble calling was de-professionalized; here is the recorded voices of the Ministers, the aspirant and the Brigade Commander. Other officers present at the hotel were Major Aliyu and captain Adegoke who were also part of the officers that escorted commander to the venue where the compromise was made. Also conversation between the commander and Abuja could be traced via MTN, GLO, on the under listed phone numbers (between 20-21 June 2014).

A. 08037033694
B. 08055832835

7,Lastly, in order to strengthen the unity and continue existence of Nigeria, I call on the federal Government to desist from using the military for partisan politics. This is to avoid the military from being divided along ethnic and regional lines which is dangerous to the defence of the nation. I remain a patriotic Nigerian and a loyal professional army officer.

God bless you all

Thank you for listening. Captain Sagir Koli

PoliticsBreaking News: Obasanjo Defects To APC by Boyoorisha(op): 10:29am On Jan 27, 2015
This is not just breaking news, it is also breath-taking but it is always our pleasure to bring you firsthand information so as to keep you abreast of happenings in and out of Nigeria.

Research has it that the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo aka OBJ, has finally defected to the GMB-Driven party – APC.

This is a shocker but speaking with the former President OBJ himself at his farm in Ota, he has given a few reasons why his defecting should not just be accepted by Nigerians but should also be applauded.

Find his statement below:

“I have reason to believe that most or should I say all of you are wondering why I have chosen to defect to the defunct APC and I must say that if I had been told that I would have to switch party some 5 years ago, I myself would have argued it.

I believe in transparency and integrity but unfortunately, PDP is an opposite of such attributes.

They dwell in deception and in the lowest form of debase if I may say.

I believe change is what Nigeria needs and regardless of whether GMB can deliver or not, it is still change in a way. Nigeria needs to be delivered from a useless government that has taken over since I left presidency.

If you have read my book, you will see that Jonathan is nothing different from my VP when I was president. Atiku was just a big time backbiter unknown to him that when you have people behind you, your back actually becomes visible to you.

I want to use this medium to say a very big thank you to the leaders of the APC for accepting me as I am and I am proud to say that come 2015, APC is taking over Nigeria for good of us all.

I am a civilian like you all now so I understand what it means to live in the suburbs as you are all aware that I stay nowhere else apart from my village here in Ota.

Finally, I would like to implore all Nigerians that come 2015 Elections, VOTE GOOD GOVERNMENT NOT GOOD LUCK”

Mr Ibime Belema-Jonathan, a 24-year-old native of Nembe, Baylesa announced on the social network twitter yesterday that he is one of the president’s illegitimate sons.

“According to Belema-Jonathan, his mother was a receptionist in a Port Harcourt hotel (which shall remain undisclosed) when she met Goodluck nearly 25 years ago. Their relationship was made private because of the risks it posed to Goodluck’s then fledgling political career. He has decided to disclose this information after recently being informed by his mother, who had just passed away. It is his desire for his father to assume and fulfill his fatherly duties after a lifetime of absence.”

PoliticsWe Will Rather Hand Over Power To The Millitary Rather Than Buhari - PDP by Boyoorisha(op): 10:17am On Jan 18, 2015
“The All Progressive Congress’ Presidential Campaign Organization has asked the general public to ponder on a statement posted on Facebook by an official of the Presidency saying their government will rather hand over power to the military rather than to General Muhammadu Buhari in the event that the APC candidate wins the election.

“The Blackberry Messenger (BBM) statement by Deji Adeyanju, an official in the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe, said “Buhari can never be President of Nigeria. Quote me any day any time. Instead of Buhari to become President of Nigeria, Nigeria would rather break. A military coup will even be allowed than for Buhari to become the president of a democratic Nigeria quote me any day, any time.”

“This statement is still to be denied or retracted by the official who handles Dr Doyin Okupe’s Twitter handle.

“Unless it is convincingly rebutted, the statement above, by the ruling party appears to clearly be uninterested in free, fair and conclusive elections, but rather to engender crisis and chaos if it happens that the APC candidate, General Buhari wins the elections.

“This revelation in a public statement via the BBM would appear to support the PDP’s avowed determination to rule for 60 years, a boast echoed repeatedly by some former national chairmen of the party. The boast however did not reckon with the emergence of the All Progressives Congress and the determination with which the party mobilized and stuck together to confront the PDP that over time had prided itself with invisibility.

“We of the APC hereby call on all Nigerians to be vigilant and ensure that no one is allowed to truncate the 2015 elections. It is also important that all Nigerians allow peace to reign and insist on free and fair polls to assist the process of peaceful and democratic transition.

“Similarly, our party, the APC is confident that the men and women of our patriotic Armed Forces and the Police, including other security agencies would discharge their obligations without fear or favour and ensure that the 2015 polls is not only free and fair but also credible leading to the installation of a popular-elected government that will improve the well-being of Nigerians.”

PoliticsNigeria ‘ll Be Among 10 Countries Promoting Global Poverty In 2030-world Bank by Boyoorisha(op): 9:35am On Oct 09, 2014
The World Bank has said that Nigeria will be one of 10 countries that, in the year 2030, will remain as the main contributors to global poverty.

It said that the scenario requires that in Nigeria, currently contributing heavily to global poverty numbers, growth rates need to rise, but not to a degree that is entirely unimaginable.

It stated that in Nigeria, the growth rate needs to pick up from 2.3 to 3.2 per cent growth in real term. According to the report Nigeria will contribute another 61.5 million poor people to the global total.

According to the World Bank, much more work needs to be done to end poverty and close the gap in living standards between those in the bottom 40 per cent and the top 60 per cent of the population around the world.

The report details, for the first time, the World Bank Group’s twin goals of ending extreme poverty by 2030 and promoting shared prosperity, measured as income growth of the bottom 40 per cent. GMR 2014/2015 continues to monitor progress on the Millennium Development Goals, which inspired the WBG twin goals. “The world has made great progress in the last quarter-century in reducing extreme poverty – it was cut by a stunning two-thirds, and now we have the opportunity to end poverty in less than a generation,” said World Bank Group President, Jim Yong Kim.

“But we will not finish the job unless we find ways to reduce inequality, which stubbornly persists all over the world. This vision of a more equal world means we must find ways to spread wealth to the billions who have almost nothing.”

The report notes that much success has been achieved in reducing extreme poverty – those living on less than a $1.25 a day.

However, the number of poor remains unacceptably high, at just over 1 billion people (14 per cent of the world population) in 2011, compared with 1.2 billion (19 per cent of the world population) in 2008.

Forecasts in the report show that poverty will remain stubbornly high in the South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa regions, where an estimated 377 million of the world’s 412 million poor will likely reside in 2030.”

Rich4god: One thing I believe in this life is that... You are commiting more evil if you fail to expose and condem the evil being done by others... We have all this kind of ill killings by SARS and nobody has raised the alarm... If what himkers and rilwayne said about SARS are true, then its high time we try and make a report to a senior authority as we maybe saving some one life indirectly. Even if we cant reach the senior officers, we can rebroadcast this to sensitize the public as a means of precaution. I, as an example, when ever I encounter police men along the way and am sensing that my argument with them might lead to another thing, the 1st thing I do is to send a text to 5 family and friends in my contacts. I have the message saved as a draft and I modify it anytime I change location and I also modify the 5 people I text to represent those in my current area. You never can tell when you enter the wrong hands of the police force.
Now we have made an effort to expose them, but someone is not putting it on the front page.

Rich4god: Its high time we start taking actions and not just opening a thread on NL and forget about it after some comments. OP, go to the police website, you will see all the numbers of police heads, pick the one closer to the venue of incident and test him what happened with all your evidence. Try and follow up and you will see that action will be taken... I will advise you use a second phone line that is mostly dormant. For me, I have on a number of occassion freed my guys from police custody after they were unjustly arrested without paying anything. Even on one occassion, me and my cousin, were extorted of 3k by policemen in a check point, there and then, we placed a call to the CP of the state explaining to him what happened and the vehicle number involved as we were moving, he called us back and asked us to go and collect our money like play like play, my cousin summoned courage, drove back and collected the money... I was scared to hell before i go hear accidental discharge. But it worked, they CP made sure that those guys didnt set up road block any more as within 2mnths of me passing there, I didnt see them. Just go to NPF website and copy the number closer to your place and make the call. Kets bring back some sanity to the NPF...
Thanks bro, I will do just that
PoliticsMy Experience With SARS Operatives In Ibadan; Another SOKA In The Making! by Boyoorisha(op): 10:15am On Aug 28, 2014
Most of the times we take TOKUNBO CARS to Abuja from Lagos for sale. Three days ago, we sent some of our guys to deliver two cars to buyers in Abuja. I was going to call these guys to find out where they were but their phones were not reachable for the whole day! I was worried and began to make contacts. Thank God they have been able to reach an uncle before they collected all their phones and the uncle had also reached a lawyer.

These guys were arrested for no offense, they had all the papers intact! Unknown to the police men, the cars were more than two. The third guy who had driven past the police men had called some people and later turned back. He was also arrested and they collected his phone immediately, not knowing he had contacted people. They were all taken to SARS police station somewhere in Dugbe.

We were able to trace them to the station, on getting there, we saw hell! They were furious and began to ask questions on how we got there. The shouted, ''who called you, who called you''? To cut the long story short, we were able to take out our guys after parting with 80, 000 NGN.

The guys narrated their experience in the cell, many cell occupants who have been there for days without anyone looking for them are being killed and sold. They said the boss usually come with people at night, point to two or three occupants an they would be driven away without being returned.

Our government needs to investigate this and take necessary action to avoid another 'civilized' SOKA
PoliticsEbola: Experimental Drug Arrives Nigeria Today by Boyoorisha(op): 12:13pm On Aug 14, 2014
An Experimental drug for the treatment of Ebola
Viral Disease has been developed by a Nigerian
in diaspora and is expected to arrive in the
country today, the Health Minister has
revealed.
Onyebuchi Chukwu said the vaccine, identified
as “Nanosilver”, can now be used as a result of
the approval by the World Health Organisation
(WHO) that experimental treatments are ethical
in the case of the Ebola pandemic.
The Nigerian government approved the use of
experimental drugs for the viral disease on
Wednesday.
The United States had sent ZMapp, another
experimental drug, to Liberia on Wednesday,

PoliticsWhy Sawyer Travelled To Nigeria - Wife by Boyoorisha(op): 10:45am On Aug 14, 2014
The widow of late Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian
who brought Ebola into Nigeria, has defended
her husband’s decision to travel to Africa’s
most populous country, saying he did so in
desperate search for a country with better
healthcare system than his own country.
In an article published earlier today, TMZ
Liberia Magazine http://
www.mytmzliberia.net/) quoted Decontee
Sawyer, who is a radio host in New York, as
explaining that Mr. Sawyer had no trust in the
healthcare system in Liberia and had possibly
headed to Nigeria with the hope of receiving
better treatment for his ailment.
Mrs. Sawyer shared her thoughts on her
Facebook profile from which TMZ Liberia
sourced it for publication.
“I’ve read other reports in other papers (not the
New York Times) about Patrick’s
“recklessness.” I get where they’re coming
from, and they certainly have the right to feel
the way they do. However, as Patrick’s widow, I
would like to shed some light on this from
another perspective. One that only I, his wife,
would know,” she wrote.
“I knew Patrick better than anybody else
(including himself). He had told me many times
in the past how much he didn’t trust the
Liberian healthcare system. He would tell me
about how a person would get checked in for
one thing, and get misdiagnosed and get the
wrong treatment as a result. On top of that,
Patrick was a clean freak, and told me how
filthy a lot of the hospitals were.
“He didn’t tell me this, but I know in my heart of
hearts that Patrick was determined to get to
Nigeria by all means because he felt that
Nigeria would be a place of refuge. He has
expressed to me many times in the past that he
felt passionately about helping to be a part of
strengthening Liberia’s healthcare system, but
he knew it wasn’t there yet, and he wouldn’t
want to take a chance with his life because a
lot of people depended on him… Patrick had a
passion for life, and he wouldn’t have wanted
his to end. So, I bet anything that he was
thinking, if I could only get to Nigeria, a way
more developed country than Liberia, I would
be able to get some help. How ironic.”
Many Nigerians, and even Liberians,
condemned Mr Sawyer for traveling to Nigeria
despite knowing that he was carrying Ebola
virus before embarking on the trip. Some
Nigerians on social media have described him
as a “biological terrorist” arguing that he came
into the country deliberately to spread the
disease.
On Monday in Abuja, President Goodluck
Jonathan described Mr Sawyer’s decision to
travel to Nigeria as pure “madness” and
“craziness.”
“Sawyer that brought this Ebola to Nigeria; his
sister died of Ebola. And he started acting
somehow, his country asked him not to leave
the country, let them observe him, but the crazy
man decided to leave and found his way here,”
President Jonathan said.
In her post, Mrs. Sawyer wrote that the fact
that her husband avoided contact with others
at the James Sprigg Payne’s Airport in
Monrovia as revealed by airport CCTV footage
proved he didn’t set out to infect others with
the disease and perhaps his actions were that
of a dying man in desperate search for help.
“It has been reported that Patrick avoided
physical contact with everyone he came across
during his trip from Liberia to Nigeria. When he
got to Nigeria, he turned himself in letting them
know that he had just flown in from Liberia.
“Patrick went to Nigeria for help so that he can
get properly diagnosed, and not misdiagnosed
in Liberia. And if it came back that he did have
Ebola, he trusted the Nigerian healthcare
system a lot more than he trusted the
Liberian’s. His action, as off as it was, was a
desperate plea for help. Patrick didn’t want to
die, and he thought his life would be saved in
Nigeria.”
Mrs. Sawyer then took a swipe at the Liberian
President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, who said Mr
Sawyer was indiscipline and disrespectful for
failing to heed medical advise not to travel.
Mrs Sawyer said if President Johnson-Sirleaf
had fixed the healthcare system in Liberia, her
husband would not have left in search of
treatment elsewhere.
“I write today, not simply because of Patrick,
but because of the broken healthcare system in
the Liberia, and the government’s inability
under President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (and
other past Presidents) to fix it. Good doctors,
nurses, and other healthcare providers aren’t
given the support they need to save lives.
“President Sirleaf went on CNN News throwing
stones at Patrick, a man who can no longer
defend himself, a man who worked tirelessly for
Liberia. She should be ashamed of herself. I
use to admire this woman, and was excited and
proud of her accomplishment as the first
woman President in the entire continent of
Africa. She will always own that. We will
always own that. It can’t be taken away from
her. It’s something to be proud of. But this
woman has failed her country,” she wrote.
Nigeria was free of Ebola until July 20 when Mr.
Sawyer arrived.
He became terribly ill on his flight and was
rushed to the First Consultant Hospital
Obalende, Lagos, where he died on July 24.
Nigeria’s Health Minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu,
said on Monday that although the Liberian
government has apologized for the incidence, it
was pertinent to note that Nigeria was free of
Ebola Virus until its importation by the
Liberian-American.
Mr. Sawyer’s action, he said, has placed
unnecessary stress on Nigeria’s health system.
Since Mr. Sawyer’s death in a Lagos hospital,
two other persons who had contact with him
have died of the virus. At least eight others
have also tested positive to the infection and
have been quarantined at a Lagos hospital.
President Goodluck Jonathan has since
declared a national emergency on the disease
while the federal health ministry in conjunction
with health ministries in the 36 states are
working to prevent the spread of the virus,
which has killed over 1,000 people in Guinea,
Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
