Romance › Re: She Slapped Me! Should I Break Up Or Forgive Her? by braine(m): 9:57pm On May 08, 2015 |
CanMalt: After eating the delicious meal my fiancée prepared for me last night; we had a great entertainment on bed with different styles. You can envisage how all are in sweet motility, not until i raised the issue of her mother. Her mum is currently dating a guy of my age set, who is young enough to be her son. I said to my fiancee "we have to find a way to curb this flirt mum of yours". Next is a sudden gigantic slap on my face. "Are you labelling my mum to be a prostitute?" she said. She angrily took the car key and drove off to her house that late night. We haven't call each other on phone hitherto. Should i separate with her or forgive her? Please candid advice are welcome Break up with that girl. The fact that she supports her mother being a sugar mummy doesn't speak well of her morals. She'll dump you one day for a sugar boy like her mother if you marry her. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Jackie Chan Supports Death Penalty For Drug Offences by braine(m): 7:24pm On May 07, 2015 |
Ishilove: Remember Jackie Chan, that famous martial arts (Kung fu) actor of films like Drunken Master, Who Am I?, Mr Nice Guy, Rush Hour and so on? His films made a lot of us Kung fu fans while growing up. I remember signing up for martial arts class when I was 9. Lol.
Well, he has some pretty thought provoking things to say about drugs and drug offenders.
http://pulse.ng/movies/jackie-chan-actor-is-in-support-of-death-penalty-for-drug-offences-id3733711.html
https://www.topchinesemovies.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Drunken-Master-1978-Chinese-Movie-Poster-Two.jpg
He speaks with the heart of a father whose life has been touched on a personal level by drugs. If we are to be very objective and put all sentiments aside, would you say the death penalty for drug offences is not too harsh, especially when one looks at the whole matter holistically, vis the collateral damage to the lives of its users?
It is easy to be mesmerised by the filthy lucre, it is also easy to be indignant when the offenders are being led to the killing fields, it is easy to shout about human rights and mercy, but who is there to raise a voice for those addicts who's life have been completey destroyed by these drugs?
I am trying to be objective here, but do you agree with Jackie Chan? If a family member of mine was on death row for drug offences, I will vehemently disagree with Mr Chan and point out that there were other froms of punishment befitting of the crime, BUT if my son was a junkie who's life revolved around the high he would get from next hit of that potent white powder, if my daughter sells her body in order to be abe to pay for a fix, or overdoses and drops dead at the age of 25, I will speak the same words Jackie Chan has spoken. I support it too. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. |

xpac01: The lady is about learning courtesy the hard way. My parents always thought me never to refuse food offer from my in-laws. Even if I don't feel ok with their spiritual should help in the cooking or at most jilt the girl than refusing the food. Yes o. I trust my own mother, she won't even wait till we get home; she'll say it to her face straight up. LOL! I won't even take such uncultured girl to my mother anyway. |

osile2012: A young man has been dating this lady for about 2 years,They both have jobs, and get along well. The guy decides to take the relationship to the next level(Marriage). He calls his mother and tells her he will come to show her his wife to be. They traveled about 3 hrs to get there.
They got to the mans family house, she greeted the mans mother very well and everyone was happy. As the conversation went on, the mother inlaw went to the kitchen, came out and asked the girl where will she eat? in the parlour of dinning table? The young girl innocently said, "No ma, dont bother i am not hungry" . She said ok and brought pounded yam and soup for the man and he ate .
Conversation went on normally and they slept and traveled the next day. When he got back to base, called the mother and told her he had arrived. The mother said thank GOD, but what she wants to tell him is that, it is over her dead body that he will marry that girl that refused her food. He said all attempts to explain that they ate before getting there fell on deaf ears.
She said he has to choose between her and that girl.
I discussed this with some mothers, and they all said they would have done the same. No who is right and who is wrong ? Whose side are you on? the Lady or the mans mother.?
If you were the guy, what would you do? Marry her without your mothers blessing or find someone else ? The girl is mannerless. You don't refuse food at your inlaw to be's house! She should have consulted her own mother to find out wifely etiquettes. The dude has no choice than to let her go since the mother has outrightly said no. . |
