i'm a "picker " too when it comes to series. Hoc is obviously too uptight but so is Hannibal to an extent. I guess its different strokes.
I even prefer black sails to Got. its very plain yet captivating. Nothing too elaborate.
I don't want to start talking about such dry fight scenes in Got. Nothing to keep you at the edge of your seat like spartarcus(as u said), 300 movie etc. upon all the money they spend!!
i'll see the shows... when I get time and do a review. I know of American horror story and one gothic show like that but I'd not really heard of masters of horror... i'm looking forward to it.

hannibal is anything but "uptight" to borrow your phrase. this is a show that has a lot of things going on..drama, mystery intrigue, suspense, and even a little romance thrown into the mix. it started a little slow but finally settled into a winning rhythm towards the ending of season 1.

you must really enjoy the way the camera slows down and speeds up back when they fight.

yeah that's cutting edge. highly innovative. the first time it was used was in the movie 300, then Spartacus borrowed the idea and implemented it successfully. got seemed drab by comparison to be honest.

I did mine by past 1, and tried agaim by 2, someone on NL called customer care and was told it wasn't active yet.

the sub didn't work for him..couldn't browse after 12am. turned out to be a big lie/scam after all.

I started watching series a long time o. I knew when supernatural, angel, dark angel, oz, oc, smallville, buffy the vampire slayer, x files and other classics started. I was there when most of them ran their course and few continued to the present day.

I agree with 1-3. BB is king! sopranos and the wire are up there too tho I've never seen them.
Nos 31-35,42 and 48 raised my brows. Especially 35. HOC should be in top 10 or 20 at least. Plus I get GOT is overhyped but its still better than 48 nah..even daredevil tops it.

when you've watched quite a few series like myself, pernicketiness becomes the norm. in other words I'm very picky.
hoc is a solid political drama but alas it's strongest points were also it's weakest. it's too political and have negligible humor. there's little to no comic relief and to top it all, the theme is too narrow. intrigue is also in short supply. looking at all this, there's no way in hell hoc would have broken into my top 20..maybe if hoc had aired in the era of one tree hill I would have had a better appreciative perspective as it would have offered a far less fickle look at human nature. in this present era however, with pure quality stuffs stuffs like hannibal, the leftover, veep, the americans e tal, I'm afraid hoc doesn't stand a chance.

got is criminally overhyped joor. I'm one for strong boring dialogue but got takes it too far. with them it becomes too tedious. almost a punishment to watch. don't even get me started on the poorly choreographed fight scenes..compared to spartacus's, got artistic teams are quite the underachievers. 48 is the perfect spot for it. either that or I swap it for black sails at 51.

All in all I the list is okay. i'm going to check out the shield, the unit, masters of horror, fargo and the leftovers. I was already about to see veep and penny dreadful.f it had aired 10 years ago

graceland is a actually the name of a house that undercover us federal agents comprising of fbi, dea, ice, and atf made their abode as they work together to take down drug cartels within and outside the border. not a lot of military action but solid performance all thru.

spooks is basically the british reply to 24 but without Jack bauer. lots of military and high tech action scenes.

burn notice is about a cia spy that was burned(blacklisted) whilst on a mission to nigeria. he thus began a quest to find out who burned him lots of gun fights in this series. crazy series, never a dull moment.

chuck is actually a comedy action drama. action mixed with humor plus some dark shades that can turn an ordinary person into a man one army. plenty of funny action scenes.

narcos is based on a true story and one of the biggest drama of 2015. military action scenes present.

flashpoint is about canadian swat police group and their on duty exploits. it goes without saying there's a lot of military action scenes.

fringe is a 24 with a sci-fi spin. alternate universe, watchers and all that. lots of action scenes.

human target is about a private security agency dedicated to helping victims. actions scenes present.

chase just like the name hinted is about a team of us Marshalls literally chasing after escaped prisoners across state lines. this series is fast paced. military action scenes.

covert affairs is a watered down alias. the same theme but different plots, actors, directors and channel. action scenes present.

make your choice. all are worth watching.

this plan is better. at least no more 100m sprint.

Mr. Robot is one of the rare techo thriller series that actually deals with mankind's self realisation..they bagged the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama last year...*in bratking's voice*if u dont love this series...u most def love Arrow and Supergirl...or bykebyke's most beloved series, Quantico Quantico ain't that bad tho
God...u gotta love Elliot's convo with his second person..cos that's what I came to watch!!

I cease to put much stock on golden globe since lady gaga bagged the best actress in miniseries.

that said, mr robot is pretty neat tho a trifle pretentious(tries to be complex but failed). I know it impresses a lot of people esp tech types, but I'm not all that banged up on it.

that's the uk version. the remake(the us version) has 9 seasons.

Ps: I tried mr robot and it didn't appeal to me.... especially the lead actor. I don't get the hype.

It was actually ratings that pushed me to watch poi. its not a bad show per say but I had very high hopes that it couldn't meet up to.
Credit to bratking for his own ratings. I guess I should be listening to wise words of elders.

poi is something of an acquired taste. not surprised it didn't appeal to you. the series changed for the better from season 3 to the last season tho.

*I starred through the cctv at my once promising patient Kaycee7 as he talks to his imagery assistant(mrs Peabody as he calls her)in his noise insulated room. I made a mental note to have an orderly cloth him in a straitjacket before he hurt himself and others. what could have triggered another schizo episode after several weeks of responding to treatment? I wondered. then I pressed the remote button and iyke1989 zoomed into the screen. after 2 days of non-stop electric shock therapy this one is not responding to treatment at all. he's still pretending to be doctor phil. I made a mental note to ship him to the basement where we keep all our hopeless cases. I checked 2 more patients then flicked off the monitor and goes off to have breakfast. life is good*
