Let me school you sir, What determines the price of a product aside cost of production and other sundry cist is simply BRANDING. IPhone is seen as a premium brand, hence no one raise an eyebrow about the price. Tecno entered into Nigeria market as an economic brand, and are now moving into a middle class brand that is why you think their Phantom is grossly overpriced because in your mind you still see them as an economic brand.

The difference between what you think of the product with what they think wrt the price is PERCEPTION.

That one na long unnecessary grammar. When P5 debuted with an overbloated price tag of 70k, other OEMs already had phones with similar specs in Nigerian market and each with reasonable price tag of 40-50k.

I judged the product based on this, not for the reasons you gave. I could care less about Tecno being an economy brand.

Grossly overpriced is when a product is been sold at an outrageously high price that is far more that it's worth.

Covered 3.3gb under an hour earlier this morning. Airtel may possibly be the fastest network in Nigeria for now.

mine doesn't disconnect at all.

Mine disconnects after every 200mb, sometimes 250 if I'm lucky. It gets really frustrating at times. I'm thinking of getting another airtel sim.

Just the other day I loaded a 500 naira because I wanted to have a long chat with a friend. Barely a second after loading, 400 was deducted for no reason... It was like magic.

I called the CC, told them what happened, and they apologized & promised to help me deactivate all the active plans available on my sim. I was like what active plans? I don't remember subscribing to any. But I agreed in good faith anyway, then hung up.

Then later in the day, I recharged with 200 to make another call only for my 50 naira to go missing. This time it came with a text that I just subscribed to Skysports news bla bla... that was the last straw. Without speaking, I calmly removed the sim and flushed it down the loo.

MTN is a scam.

The night plan is fast, the only issue I have with it is the constant disconnection. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Picture this, Daredevil and Deadpool locked in an Hexagon, each fully equipped, whom would you pick to win? My money's on Deadpool. Reasons:

- Immortality: his self-healing ability is awesome and better than that of Logan's.
- Ninjatsu: his mastery of the samurai form of martial art will dazzle and usurp Daredevil's Jijitsu & Aikido even in the later's best day.
- Ruthlessness: He doesn't squirm from killing like you know who.
- Personality: He's got more confidence in himself and abilities than any Marvel comic character I know, barring Thor of course.

So I watched the much hyped Batman Vs Superman last night, and I gotta tell ya, I don't know where to start.

The movie is a CG comet rolled into a puzzle concocted from an enigma and transformed into a steaming virtual tsunami. Let me put it this way, if you have watched all the trailers prior to the debut, you ain't missing much. The movie's not dull, in fact, au contraire. It's pace is on steroids, so much so the plots, scenes, and characters got left behind.

I spent over an hour waiting for Batman & Supes to put on their respective cape and kick ass as depicted in the trailers... didn't happen. The Movie spent tremendous amount of time building up the clash of the giants, only for it to clash and burn when "the moment we've all been waiting for" finally turns up.

Bottom Line: Zack Snyder failed woefully where Chris Nolan shone like a billion bucks. The movie lack the artistry and creativity of TDK movies.There were just too many loose, moving pieces that never really meshed, leaving in it's wake a rather weak plot, clumsily edited characters and most of all one of the worst superhero movies of recent memories. A big 'Fail' for DC Comics in my opinion.

Because even though tecno is a Chinese company, they sell their phones only in Africa (not even whole of Africa but primarily west Africa and Nigeria is where they sell most of their phones). They stopped selling phones in Asia since 2008 to focus on Africa. To Nigeria they are a great company, but to the rest of the world they are absolutely nothing.

Have u ever seen any of the folks at technobuffalo, pocketnow, phonedog, the verge etc review any tecno phone? Have u ever seen tecno make appearance on mobile world congress or CES or have u seen any tecno stand at a world class event. Has tecno ever had a world class phone launch that is attended by world renown tech people to make them popular?

Tecno are doing well in Nigeria and some parts of Africa but that is where it ends. They need to do more to get recognized, and u know u can't just sell substandard phone in the US or Europe, phone needs to pass through FCC to make sure all specs are real and not false. Here in Nigeria nothing like FCC, u can get away with anything. U can fit a 2,000mah battery in ur phone and call it 4,000mah, nobody will prosecute u.

I couldn't have explained it better myself, kudos.

The S5 is way better.
