The Southwest has produced the worst form of politics to the Nigerian system and that's one major reason the country is where it is today, thanks to Tinubu...

skywalker240: Yes
Before APC came in though
But in December, did you heard of price increase of feeds and drug's?
Late November, chicken was sold for 14k
Early to mid week December, chicken was sold for 15k and then all of a sudden approaching the Yuletide weeks the price skyrocketed from 15 to 25 and from 25 to 35k?
Bro let's be honest here, sometimes we are our own enemies.
These same kind of people are the exact same kind of politicians we complain about.
Or how will it be, if these same farmers were elected to represent us as politicians? A poultry feed is 24k to feed a chick that cost 1600 to maturity and this excludes time, health and resources put in place, how much do you think the seller should sell this his full grown chicken? |

Nothing like wicked rule here
The farmers were just greedy and inconsiderate
The feeds and drug's didn't increase in December, but all of a sudden an adult broiler jumped from 14k - 20k and from 20k to 25k and then 30k Do you run poultry business? |
Politics › Re: Denying Igbo Presidency Over Secession Attempts Is Unfair – Obasanjo by Brendaniel: 1:36pm On Jan 05, 2025 |
Deadlytruth: Two options:
1. Nigeria should split through a motion in the National Assembly
2. Nigeria should return to the Independence constitution by which each region is genuinely autonomous but this time the states as presently constituted will take the place of the regions. Since you claim to know the solution, what have you done with it ? |
Politics › Re: Denying Igbo Presidency Over Secession Attempts Is Unfair – Obasanjo by Brendaniel: 12:21pm On Jan 05, 2025 |
Deadlytruth: Yes and emphatically so. If he had restrained himself from unlawfully intervening in the Western Region's purely internal crisis, the whole thing would have run its natural course and Akintola would have been successfully impeached in line with the wish of an overwhelming majority of Western Region people hence there would have been peace and the issue of Awolowo seeking self help against Balewa-Zik Coalition Government wouldn't have ever been, Awolowo wouldn't have been imprisoned hence the January 15 1966 coup wouldn't have even been plotted and Ironsi wouldn't have ever risen to power let alone cause the constitutional crisis which sparked off a war that led to the Nigerian tragedy we all regret today. So those who helped Balewa clinch power in the name of political strategy should be blamed for the failure of Nigeria. So what is the solution ? |
Politics › Re: Denying Igbo Presidency Over Secession Attempts Is Unfair – Obasanjo by Brendaniel: 8:29am On Jan 05, 2025 |
Deadlytruth: Akintola and Sardauna were regional rulers and the argument in this thread is about how Nigeria was destroyed at the national level (not regional level) by the making of wrong choices at the national elections. So this Akintola and Sardauna angle you are trying to introduce is diversionary. So are you saying it was Balewa that single handedly destroyed Nigeria to what it is today? |

eaglebeliever: Common, I’m not a big fan of the president. However, Dogara specifically mentioned local government autonomy and the recent tax reforms. Can you fault his assertion that those are two bold and welcome moves the president has made? I know it’s social media but that does not stop us from putting on our thinking caps when discussing issues (especially when raised in a commencement speech). And how has the 2 implementations improved the standard of living in Nigeria ? |
