But it has happened in SE, The North and SS are you not hearing news?

You are the one now who already digressed this thread into another ribl jabs.
My point is not whether it has happened but the insults and attacks by a certain set of people in this country if it happened in the south east...

Imagine if this happened in the south east and all the people involved where Igbos, you would have seen a flood of insults running all over the thread, even Ojukwu and Aguyi Ironsi may not have been spared from the insults...

Those people will focus on the topic now, but if it is Igbo they will focus on the tribe instead...

No need for advise, Trump is making Nigerians stay back home by force.

80+% of our visa application are B1/B2, F1/F2, H1/H4, and etc., they will ban us from that.

So no need advising anybody, Trump no send una papa
Why don't you come back to Nigeria?

To you Trump is destroying America and Tinubu is fixing Nigeria but you want to stay in Trump's America, yet you hate Trump and you love Tinubu, don't you see something is wrong with you?

Your type is why Nigeria is where it is today...

If you are a soldier and they send you to the north especially the shariah states, just resign.

Some people would rather avoid this thread and not come and insult the entire north and tell soldiers to burn down the place like if it happened in the south east.

They only know insecurity exists in Nigeria when it happens in the south east, What exactly did Tinubu come to do differently as president?

#5 billion naira just for a school fees from a civil servant
Yes na, under Tinubu's government while he looks away because the looting going on in his administration is a bazaar...

That's why I laugh when Tinubu, his cabinet and people like you claim importation is what is killing the naira, you see what you posted here is the biggest killer of the naira, just Imagine just one official under Tinubu using 5 million dollars for only children school fees, then you can imagine how many million dollars he has also stolen for keeping his children abroad, with various cars, houses and domestic staff, then the ones he has also stashed in in his bank accounts.

We should be looking at over 100 million dollars without producing a pin for Nigeria in return or adding value to Nigeria, all he did was steal available naira convert to dollars and achieve all of that, so no value in return to the economy, just thrashed the naira and made it of lesser value, importation still adds value, serious value to the economy for every dollar that leaves something comes back in return...

Now this is just one government official and we are talking of thousands in Tinubu's regime right from the presidency doing this at the same time and you expect the naira to have value.

I share the same reason as the Constitution.

Personally, i think it's would look funny to see a map of Nigeria change after so many years.
You can't share the same reason with the constitution, the constitution does not have feelings, So you are more bothered about the map of Nigeria than the peace of Nigeria?

The reason Nigeria wants Igbo to be part of Nigeria is legal:

1. The eastern region is part of Nigeria's geography.

2. The constitution protects the geography of Nigeria.

3. Unsolicited separation from Nigeria is illegal.

The only alternatives are if:

1. Nigeria agrees to it.

2. The easterners ask for a separation the legal way.

For now, the easterners can find solace in other countries of choice while their dream isn't realistic at the moment.
What is your own reason?

That's how they keep talking while the country is getting destroyed, one even opened a thread trying to blame obidients and Christians for exposing Christian genocide in Nigeria because Trump has added Nigeria to Visa scrutiny list, so indirectly they are telling you to keep quiet let corruption and killings be going on because you want foreign investors and Visa approval...

This is partly why Nigeria is where it is today.

The nonsense you're experiencing in the country is similar to Miltary rule.

The military rule was what led to the fight for a democratic government - so if the military rule was perfect, then there shouldn't have been any need for series of protests against the military.

Your clamour for a military government may simply be a reaction to a fact "your ideal candidate who shares your ideology" didn't win 2023 election.

Separation as your last option, can only be achieved by you as an "Individual". Separation is a long journey - so differing individuals can separate themselves by applying for visas to any country of their choice.

Also note that the eastern region is part of Nigeria's territory and therefore, the eastern land belongs to Nigeria.
You see why Nigeria should not be one, read your comment and read mine, what you want for a country is not what I want for a country, what your people want is not what my people want.

Why do you want Igbo land to be part of Nigeria?

And why do you want Igbos to be part of Nigeria?
PoliticsRe: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by Brendaniel: 7:56am On Dec 17, 2025
kayjordan:
Interesting!

I acknowledge your all your facts. The Igbos have a unique ideology and even though you do not want to go into details, I would think - the Igbos had a rather over-ambitious ideology that wasn't healthy for the country.

The other tribes had relatively good relations except the Igbos.

That doesn't mean other tribes don't have differing ideologies too, but somewhat, they have been able to work as a family for decades.

So, if ALL against ONE is the formula - then that probably hints us where Nigeria's division started from - and thus the creation of sentiments that Nigeria isn't meant to be together.
If that's how you see it, that's on you, that's not how I see it and not how most Igbos see it, reason why there is no need staying together with people who may never reason with the igbos and vice versa, you see why i said our ideologies are not the same, I would rather share country with people who reason and think the way i think, people who share my kind of ideology because it is easier to cooperate, solve issues, move forward and have less conflict....

That's why I look at all the nonsense being done in the country in the name of politics or democracy, I just laugh and shake my head, presently i prefer the military rule to this so called nonsense they tag here as democracy, I've experienced both so no need to tell me how the military rule is, I experienced 3 military governments in succession before democracy so, so i had years of experience on what it is like, but I can tell you that it is far better than the nonsense they are calling democracy in Nigeria today...

Why I won't work towards having a military rule is because it only fixes the problem temporarily but the problem might keep existing, the only way maybe is if the military rule stays without interruption for like 100 years straight, that may likely help.

But for now Separation is the best and fastest solution.

Bro calm down! No need for this harsh tune! No body is supporting illegality... I just stated the obvious in what is enshrined in the constitution it was not clear on whether or not during the course of State of Emergency can a president suspend an elected official it is also ambiguous and controversial how you can declare State of Emergency without sacking the head of that office abi you fit tell us how State of Emergency can be enforced?. However, I also made it clear that the constitution should be amended or reform to suit the yearning of the people. So how did I support illegality?
You can declare state of emergency without suspending anyone, you only limit his powers in terms of whatever you declared the emergency for, let's say security, you can then appoint someone to take charge of security for that period of emergency while the governor continues his work in other aspects....

Well, if one wants to leave Nigeria and everything that has to do with it, then it's a safer option.

Obviously, some igbos will still stay in Nigeria if they ever achieve their mission - but they won't bear the country's nationality anymore.

You still haven't told me your ideology?
That's one of the major points, So we can have our own separate government with our own laws and military...

If you are asking for my ideology, I'm just thinking of how i will answer that because it is a way of life, let me just make it simple for you, majority of Yorubas don't behave like igbos and vice versa, same with the north, it's the ideology that causes people to behave the way they behave, so we are not the same in Nigeria, we are people of different ideologies and most times these ideologies are at conflict with each other...

That's why Nigeria is not united, what an average yoruba man wants from and for Nigeria is not what and average igbo man wants, same with the north, so there is no common goal, unity cannot be achieved like that, and once there is no unity, there is no love and once there is no love, conflict arises easily...

That's the Nigeria of today...

I don't know whether or not I am the only one perplexed over this issue. The truth is that, that part of the section of the law (305) clearly stated in an unequivocally way that the president has power to declare State of Emergency in every quarter and section of the country if there is possibility of a brewing crisis or is in crisis. Nigerians should rather protest for clarity and pure statutory of interpretation in that aspect of law through constitution amendment and reformation than the obvious.
The problem is not declaring state of emergency, the problem is suspending a sitting governor or legislator, don't you people read?

Always trying to defend nonsense..

Back to the topic:

It means Tinubu has committed an impeachable offense, same man who fought against state of emergency as opposition is the same person using it illegally, talk about hypocrisy, the award goes to them...

In my own understanding, separation is when you denounce your nationality as a Nigerian.

Leaving the country is when you travel out of Nigeria to live temporarily or permanently in a foreign land without denouncing your nationality. That's what I implied earlier.

What I quoted was: in place of separating, you can travel out of the country just as every nigerian does and become a diasporan.

What is your ideology? Just give me a summary.
Leaving Nigeria doesn't mean leaving the geographical space called Nigeria but leaving everything that has to do with being a Nigerian, So no investment loss or anything, it will just be like a Nigerian living in Ghana with his investments but not as a Ghanian citizen, that's what I mean by leaving Nigeria, you think if the Igbos achieve Biafra today that they will leave Nigeria, no

And even if they are forcefully told to leave there must be full compensation for any investment they have in Nigeria...

And so I can confidently tell you that more than 90% of the Igbos want to leave Nigeria...
PoliticsRe: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by Brendaniel: 7:48pm On Dec 15, 2025
kayjordan:
Exactly, the separatist idea has long been suspended.

Also, not everybody in your region want to leave. Some want stay in Nigeria because of their investments, some want to separate and some just want to travel out and get a green card in another country and never return.

So, your entire region is likely not to leave Nigeria - just a few.

The people who will fight against your region leaving are those that don't share your ideology and those that understand the constitution.
you seem not to understand what separation and leaving Nigeria means...
PoliticsRe: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by Brendaniel: 5:47pm On Dec 15, 2025
kayjordan:
War may happen if Nigeria doesn't agree to separatist's demand and if separatists forge ahead with the idea.

If family ideologies are easier to manage as you say - then one would have to see that happen in real life.

But what I just want to make clear for the meantime is: separatists should suspend separation ideas and see how they can manage the Nigerian situation. If they can't tolerate the situation, they are free to leave Nigeria and live in any part of the world as it's legal.

Separation may complicate matters more except if lawmakers consolidate to make legal changes which may be very difficult to achieve with a country with differing ideologies from separatist's.
They suspended the idea for decades and tried to do what you are asking and this is the Nigeria of today, you think separatists are just a few people, my entire region wants to leave Nigeria and be on their own, so how do you expect my whole region to leave Nigeria?

Secondly, who are the people who will fight against my region leaving Nigeria ?

That's quite a confident statement made by you about your division dream.

It's good that you clarified that Peter Obi was your ideal candidate. I have a firmer understanding of your arguments.

The facts I want to list here is:
1. Family problems you mentioned still means differing ideologies internally.

2. Division will lead to disasters like war, economic instability for both parties.

3. Creation of sanctions that will paralyze separating regions.

4. International countries may align with a stronger country than a weaker/newly formed country.

5. Creation of refugee camps across countries may occur due to instability.

And the list is long.

This is why Elders of certain tribes advocate unity and a working relationship with the Federal government because they have seen things in pasts.
Why must war happen for division to take place? secondly family ideologies are way closer and easier to manage than external ideologies..

I got your point. It's not about size but ideology.

Do not that your wish or the wishes of the people that share your ideology is trapped by law.

That's why I ask - If in this lifetime, separation doesn't happen - and you happen to still be a Nigerian, who would you prefer to rule Nigeria now or in the future - or what ideologies do you expect the current President to adopt to rule the nation the way you feel he should - or which candidate do you think holds your set of ideologies?
In the last election, I wanted Peter Obi but the outcome of the last election and Tinubu's governance made me give up on the unity of Nigeria not because Peter Obi lost but the fact that it made me realise that the regions in Nigeria do no share the same ideology and don't want a common goal and once a people don't have a common goal there is no need staying together, it is like a marriage...

For a marriage to work, both parties should have a common goal if not there may always be conflict and conflict of interest, that's the case of Nigeria, so for now I'm non interested in any election nor the outcome, I'm working towards the division of Nigeria...

And I pray for the grace of God to guide, protect, provide and see me through to achieve it...

Hmm!! Indeed, it's easier to solve family problems than community problems. Maybe if Nigeria's population is smaller than it is, the problems the country faces would be minimal and manageable. But that's not the point.

Nigeria was historically, groups of empires that got regionalised by the British colonial masters for administrative purposes. The constitution protects the territorial borders and sovereignty of the country - so separation is completely illegal.

Separation is a complex issue and it would probably require dialogue and a constitution amendment - so in the meantime, while Nigeria cannot separate at least maybe not in this lifetime - which person would you prefer to rule Nigeria while you anticipate regionalism?
You missed it again, it is not about the population, it is about the difference in regional ideologies, when I use the word family I was not referring to size but family as a group of people who share similar ideology. you don't share the same ideology with me as a Nigerian that's why we are even here arguing with each other, don't you see and we may never agree till this discussion ends but most people from my region will agree with what I am saying and most people from your region will agree with what you are saying, that's what I mean by family...

Don't you see you will hardly have issues with people who agree with you...

That's why Nigeria needs to divide to countries with people who share similar ideology, there may be issues but it will be lesser and easier to manage because there will be more agreement and understanding...

And lastly I am not anticipating regionalism but outright division, and for now I don't have anyone in mind to rule my country when divided, I will prefer the people setup a people's constitution according to our shared ideology and candidates can be picked to rule...or selected to rule accordingly..

The amalgamation of Nigeria was to last for 100 years, if I'm correct.

You support division because of differing ideologies. Beware, the same division will still occur in these divisions.

If a party can have factions - how much a region.

Nigeria is stronger and more attractive if kept together than separated. But if you support a regional government or state, then it's your view.

The only thing to be advocated for is:

- Regions that may wish to separate should conduct their administration only with their geographical territorial borders without extension into Nigeria's territory regardless if regionalists have vested interests or not in Nigeria.

I was expecting from you, a nationalist reason why Nigeria isn't working - i assumed you would say " type of policy" or certain decisions the President made - but it's newly clear that this is an agitation.

If I may ask - who would you prefer over the current President if you should change your mind on separation?
It is easier to solve a family problem than to solve an entire community problem, if you understand that statement then you will understand that it is easier to solve problems with people who share the same ideology than solving it with people with different ideologies..

Nigeria's problems may never be solved as long as it remains a country, division is the best, let those who want to remain in Nigeria continue if they want but I and my people are very ready to leave...

There are regions in Nigeria who may never agree with each other no matter what, even the bible says in Amos 3:3 Can two walk together without agreeing where to go?

Where the south west wants to go is not where the north wants to go, same with the south east , and once that disagreement is there, that's the result of Nigeria today.
