ComputersRe: This Virus by brianromel(m): 11:41pm On Apr 19, 2009
Its just a virus not a spyware.one that has the annoying capability of producing malwares that attack system registery, particulary your recovery points.
A good antivirus should get it off.
BusinessPartnership The Way Forward In Business. by brianromel(op): 2:44pm On Apr 19, 2009
Its quite common to hear people saying they have ideas but no funds to execute, more common is that of people with funds looking for where to invest to make more funds.
What gets at me most times are businesses being run on a sole one man ownership,no wonder businesses in this country die with their owners.
If one takes a look at truly global firms and world class organisations, one would notice a trend of evolution that brought these institutions to limelight.

Sole ownership or family owned.
Bought over or merged with another or other businesses.
Increase merger with other firms depending on the business interest of the firm or now conglomerate.
Sole ownership has disappeared giving room to a partnership based on majority interests and shares.

This has been the history of firms around the world, from shell,AIG,Hp and meryl lynch.
I did say its about time nigerian businessmen and woman, those with business ideas, and those with the finances, stop with this tact selfish beliefs and start thinking on running their businesses as world class establishments.

Of which the first step is partnership.

You have ideas, then partner with those seeking ideas to move their business to the next level.
You have funds, then partner with those with business ideas, who can adequatly show that they can achieve results from their ideas.

After all its all in the agreement signed between the two parties.

Its just that the auditor sc OS has more tools than backtrack3 OS.Thats why i need to install auditor.

ComputersRe: Mounting A Linux Os Without A Gui Installer. by brianromel(op): 2:06pm On Apr 17, 2009
I've burnt the iso file into a cd and can boot from the cd,my problem is installing the os on my harddrive.
Unlike windows,it has no place that says install to harddrive.i have created a partition for it also,i just need to know how to install it to that partition as it does not run like windows when installing from a bootable xp installation cd.

Its a simply magician trick called slight of hand.
Added with aid from an assistant to distract you.
They carefully watch your every move while the only thing you carefully watch is the money, any slight distraction from you, gives them the opportunity to strike.
Thank God for bureau the change in banks like diamond, union, uba and phb,i have said bye bye to alade and those trickstars

ComputersRe: How To Delete Former Window When Formatting? by brianromel(m): 11:28pm On Apr 16, 2009
Buy a bootable xp installation cd,e.g xp 05,08 or vista bootable.
Slot the cd into your laptop, shutdown and startup your system,as you press your on button, keep tapping f12 til an option comes up prompting you to select your booting device, select cdrom drive and just follow wat comes up next, you will see options asking you to delete partitions and create partitions.
BusinessMoving From Atm's To Universal Banking. by brianromel(op): 11:47pm On Apr 15, 2009
Its fun that banking has been made easy. You close from work on a friday evening, all banks are closed but there are the atm's to the rescue.
Since we can practically get our money from our bank through an atm machine in any bank with one.Ain't it about time that one can walk into any bank and withdraw from his account in another bank.A universal banking service.
E.g i own a gtbank account,i walk into a diamond bank, skye, spring, union or first bank and withdraw from my gtbank account.
Whats your take on this?
BusinessRe: Which Is The Best Bank In Nigeria? by brianromel(m): 11:34pm On Apr 15, 2009
If there were even the phrase 5 star banking,i did say gtbank is a truly 5 star bank. They just need to open more branches and really attack grassroot locations like uba does.In the long run, that's if they keep up this quality banking ethics they can really give other banks a run for their money literally.
ComputersRe: Please Help! Save My System. I Know Little About Computer Of A Thing. by brianromel(m): 10:21am On Apr 13, 2009
Step one. Download or buy kaspersky antivirus.
Step 2.start your laptop in safe mode by pressing f8 once you on it.
Step 3.once you have started your laptop in safe mode,go to control panel and uninstall your avast.after which reboot your system.
Step 4. Install kaspersky.its the only antivirus i know that that virus will allow its installation process cos it will either hang or close other antivirus installations even nod32.
Step 5.reboot and run antivirus.after seeing and quarantining errors and viruses, unstall kaspersky and run other antivirus softwares to ensure your system is totally clean.
WebmastersUnderstanding The Art Of Naming And Hosting. by brianromel(op): 11:42am On Apr 10, 2009
Hello house, sorry to pop this question but i need to find out the procedure for naming and hosting webpages to the net.
I'm basically a novice at design but i try in my own little way with dreamweaver and frontpage html editors.
My designs are ok,my pages are set my links are working in my pages and i saved them in the folder dreamweaver allocated for me to save them. Now comes the hard part, uploading via ftp to my web host.
What i want to know is.

If i save the pages with any name, does the webhost do the naming automatically?

Does the web host have a way of saving pages, pictures and media in separate folders, even when i upload everything in one folder?

How does one name his home page and others to avoid errors?
ComputersRe: Starcomm's Iboast: How Fast Is It. by brianromel(op): 8:57am On Apr 09, 2009
Yeah i see no different on evdo or izap but for those still using cdma there is a big different using it.
ComputersStarcomm's Iboast: How Fast Is It. by brianromel(op): 12:45am On Apr 09, 2009
For most of you on using starcomms, and know that sometimes the speed of your connection can drop.Or you are using 1x cdma.Well starcomms has introduced iboast to help up your game.
Iboast is more like onspeed or google web optimiser. It helps increase the speed of your connection depending on your selected mode, speed or picture. Its advantage is that it up's you speed and your browsing experience to a better level for those using cdma,evdo,3g or izap.
Its disadvantage is that it only works with starcomms internet connections.
Which leaves me asking, has anyone used it successfully on any other network.
Jobs/VacanciesSeeking Consulting Recruitments by brianromel(op): 7:56pm On Apr 04, 2009
I have a question for the house.

People who have gathered a track record in business consulting and research and development,is it possible to find consulting jobs in naija.

For someone like me who has worked with a consulting firm and gathered the experience to start a small recruiting and business consulting firm call Vicnigeria.I still seek to gather as much as i can from the consulting industry. In essense i seek employment within them but there are so few of them and they are never recriuting.

Can one please give advise as to what or when one can go online or offline for applications in consulting firms offering positions on business development and business analysis.

thanks
BusinessRe: Business Ideas Please, Anybody Smart Enough? by brianromel(m): 9:28am On Mar 31, 2009
If you thought that was an arguement then guess again.
If he read through the topics on this section and on the business you would understand what youths like us can think up interm's of viable business areas.
Before i pass blame on anything or anyone,i listen to arguements and do my research from from the points raised.
The previous poster showed his lack for listening or researching the our 300 pages on topics about business ideas ventures or information seeking on this section. He just posted without crossexamining this section,of which i can't stand for.
If he had anything constructive to add he would have based read through to complement and advice not to put us down and challenge youths.
But i'm also guessing that you support his view because you are him and you did not read through also, which is typical of nigerian's.

The processes you used in sending your resume or cv to firms.

Did you get it through someone, recruiting agents,IM or networking.
Or did you trek the streets, going to one office after another with a 300 copies of your resume.
Any other experiences you faced getting the job and keeping it.
Lets share this information so that others can get to learn what it takes.
BusinessRe: Business Ideas Please, Anybody Smart Enough? by brianromel(m): 8:39am On Mar 30, 2009
Sorry you are who.
Obviousily i'm guessing you did not read up on other topics on this section before you posted.
Do your research right before you post things.
Or maybe you are organising a competition for people who can develop viable business ideas and there is a price tag.
