Is there any other Rice University in the US because the last time I checked for requirements, they ask for GRE and with quantitative score of 166
my friend was admitted two years ago without GRE,maybe they just added that to their requirements, but check praireview A&M university, they don't require GRE but they require toefl and ielts

I need some insights, from the professionals here,u guys are all wonderful, pls just think of a good response dat best suits this question;why pick this school, can one mention its because of distance which is 20mins from downtown, which will facilitate movement to n fro, during internship program, which requires one from conducting practicals in town and back in 20mins so as not to disrupt reports back on campus.
basically you can choose a school because of distance
But i don't think you should tell the vo this answer....find a solid reason,im not in support of you saying this, they're still better answers to this question....make a good research about your school and your department

After much denial i was fed up and just didn't want to apply again, but my brother urged me. I did,and this time i was FURIOUS and determined i will not waste 64k. 2 months before interview i fasted 3 days dry... on day 2,exactly at 3pm,there i was telling myself,...egn,it's not yet time,...i broke the fast...haaa! Was this not the devil playing me? Fast-foward to 4 days to interview. I fasted the dry and i didn't break inbetween....Lol.
Na God...
I prayed and cried my heart out to God. Thus time around i researched very ,very well, knowing the number of credit hours...the schools history..my faculty's board as in you would think i had nithing else to do,but in the long run it paid off... interview day i keft from igando that morning at 4am. got to walter Carrington at 6am. Can you believe i forgot my sevis rciept Lwkmd....bu right now i'm glad i did, thiugh i paid a heavy amount to print it...God forgive those people...God was planning,i was stupid...if you prove to be smart then there's no space for God.i went in and out of the embassy 3 times before and after interview.
1. I didn't have sevis.
2. i had a nail-cutter as my key-holdér and they said no sharp objects.
3. To go and withdraw money for reciprocal fees (after approval).

Do you all see how God delayed me but for good??

Now to the main course....

i was sent to the guy that interviewed me last time.. i was already broken when i saw his face.... i had seen my end,but i couldnot see what my God was seeing.

vo:good morning.
me:how are you today?
vo:fine and you?
me:i'm fine sir.
vo:so,why are you going to the USA?
me: To pursue my bachelor's degree in Construction management.
vo: why US?
me: The USA is a country that is well fecognized for it's academic excellence and enhanced learning experienced, also the USA has one of the best educational system in the world offering flexible educational opportunities accross 4000 institutions.
vo:tell me abut your school....
me:...I did,explicitly.
vo: why your school??
me: i chiose this school because their contruction management course is accredited by the American Council For Construction Education, which is a global advocate for construction education. Also,at this school i'd get to learn management skills which will enable me learn how to manage and coordinate policies ,equipment, budget and schedule as well as the safety of general public and employees, also i picked this school because i was given scholarship and their tuition is affordable.
vo:tell me about your school
me: this school is a public four year university, located in... they are part of the xyz state colleges and universities system, they also have over 125 student bodies and they offer 75 majors.Established in...., its is part of the tric-college university system...
vo.... i am going to approve your visa.

can you believe i didn't sign my i20 until i went back home?

i was disarrayed and unprepared mentally ,but God was prepared.

Here's what was funny,it was as if this bros, didn't want to ask me questions. It was as if he had made up his mind.
He asked me about my brother,i said the same nonsense, but this same guy who denied me for that reason, approved me. Now tell me why won't God be praised. Abeg help me thank God.

For thise applying:
This is a matter that needs utter concentration. No be joke. Treat it like a joke and it'd show you it's funny.
Olease read this few advice...:
1: Pray, pray and pray more...as my pastor says,'you can never overpray you can only under pray'
2. Don't cram o... You will regret it.Understand what you are saying ,because if they ask you question, you'd feel like a faulty car with no breaks.
3. Oractice ,practice and more practice...
4. Don't read testimonies and fail to remember you haven't gotten yours.
5. Be google friendly, the people here have their lives and remember you are not thr only one trying to get yours.
6..... The God that did mine, will do yours,if you have good intentions for going. God bless you and have a wonderful year.

Cc... Walspring, brightify, texrem, lagosismyhome, now i don forget names sef.... but thank you all fam....Your help all the way through was helpful and God will repay you dearly. The fact that you all left your busy lives to help me...i'd be damned not to say thank you. God bless all your hardwork for me and all those you have helped here.
#happy...
congrat bro

I want to know are there schools I can I apply in USA for masters and am a 2.2 Graduate from FUTO

I anticipate you guys contributions and best opinion.
your gpa is too low ,though some schools can give you admission with your gpa but youre not gonna get any scholarship or financial aid and you really need any form of scholarship to survive and make your tuition fee more affordable here in USA

Hello everyone. I have a question please and I need an advice.
Im filling out a form for a school in Nebraska and I was asked to provide Proof of intent to depart the United States upon completion of the course of study. I don't understand. Is it applicable to all schools or just this one as I intend to further to M. Sc and stay back to work as soon as I'm done with school there. Should I change to another school or what?
this is strange and my first time of hearing this, well if you have future employment, you can show them the future employement letter stating that they gonna employ you after your course of study....just ask your employer to write the letter

PLEASE WILL I NEED IT TO APPLY FOR VISA?

HOPE MY AGE WONT AFFECT MY VISA BECAUSE I AM GOING AS AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT?

I WILL REALLY APPRECIATE KIND RESPONSE.
is more advisable to take any test because the visa officer might ask if you take any standarlize test.in terms of your age it doesn't really matter, you just have to tell the visa officer what you've been doing since you left high school

The Chinese and Indians, and even Mexicans possess higher populations, and statistically more vices, how come they don't need Fasting and prayer. smh; same way people like you constantly think Nigeria is the world's biggest scam nation, when we are not even in top 10.
just chill, his saying the truth, some Nigerians as really messed here up,and this as really tarnished our country image, some Nigerians deny their nationality here, and about the Mexicans you see here not all of them came here with visa,75% of them swimmed to cross here,in Houston I think this was last here 3 Nigerians caught for credit card fraud,ABC news took it and they showed them on TV,and that's very bad, gradually they're tanishng our image, especially when it comes to green card level, naija don really mess that stuff up,there's an akata lady I do work with, was telling he can let any mother f***ker Nigerian marry her daughter because we're all after papers, even though you're for real they will also think you're after papers.

I don't know why people keep on derailing this thread about discouraging people who want to travel about falling out of status... do you know how many Nigerians work at home in difficult and dehumanizing conditions? ? I know alot of people who used the escape route and are living ok in US. please let stop all these act cause the truth of the matter is that not everyone is brilliant to get funding. and the rate nigeria is going and young graduate who have till or nothing going for them in Nigeria should take their destiny into their own hands and look for a way to liberate themselves from the mirage of problems plaguing the country if it maybe crossing the Mediterranean Sea. I greet you all my comrades in the hustle
though Nigeria is really difficult right now,but in terms of crossing Mediterranean sea na no go area o,at least when there's life there's hope, staying and hustling in naija is better than taking the decision to cross Mediterranean sea, though a lot of people are taking the route and few are making it,and if you could investigate about people making it to Italy, you will discover they're ready to die because is a decision where by the chance of your surviving is very low,not even upto5%,before some people got to Libya to cross the sea they've lost their life and some are beaten up and killed,so in terms of been out of status in the US;going to a country you know nothing about is really gonna be difficult, unless things are planned of you been out of status before u got here, I have a friend who came to US last year January, the first day he got to America he registered his self as an illegal immigrant, though he collected his drivers license and state ID before the school terminated his sevis ID,so definitely he can drive and as a state ID,so this actually make things easy a little bit,he later got a job and bought a car, now he already has his green card, and his now in school back, though he really suffered, but things are now very easy for him, because his eligible to get grants that can cover his school fees,America is a country that is really full of opportunity for the serious ones and is still better than naija, though is not easy as people thinks, because you need to work for any dime u spend here, and no uncle or brother is ready to give u any money, because everybody got their own responsibility and problems to solve, so Yankee is like a jungle for everyone,is very difficult now but still there's still hope for a brighter future, those that came here for during the 80s na them enjoy Yankee pass, though it was difficult then but u can work off campus for you to pay up your bills and tuition fees, but now things as really change, and bills here no be play play matter, not that u wanna go and beg baba sikira to give u some days to pay it up most especially apartment, you must pay it unless they gonna throw u out of the house, we have a lot Nigerians that are homeless here,I've meet a lot of them here,a naija man that is homeless told me this past Sunday at my work place that things is really difficult for him,his regretting for him coming here,he got no job for good 2yrs since he came,he has made his decision to go and meet immigration for deportation to naija, so pls guys when coming here you have to lay your plans well especially when u don't have anyone here,or any family, and even though u have family like your uncle or brother, you don't have to rely on them much because they can only help u for a limited time and as time goes on they will surely get tired of you,na for Yankee we dey see brother dey throw sister commot for house because no body got time for shit,America is an independent country
That's my own advice.

I Woke Up this Morning at 5 o’clock. Couldn’t stop Praying even while showering. My appointment was for 7.30. I left the house at 5.30 on getting to CMS bus stop I was stopped by Policemen. They where stopping virtually everyone holding an envelope or folder. They searched through my documents, specifically searching for my sponsors statement. They said I should call my sponsor to confirm the statement isn’t forged or I didn’t steal it. Unfortunately I didn’t go with my Phone after much argument and shouting one of them called me aside and said they don’t want to be an hindrance to my progress that I should shake body. The collected 2k and let me go after wasting my for about 15mins.
Fast forward I got to the embassy gate @ about 7am after all the checking and finger printing I was told to line up at window 3 behind an elderly woman. Her interview took a while because they had to get an interpreter. My interview went thus:
VO: Good morning
Me: Good Morning
Pass Your Passport and I20
Me. I did
V.O: Tell Me about your study plans
Me: I am going to Morgan state University to pursue a master’s degree in Project management.
VO: Why Project management?
Me: I seek a Masters Degree in Project Management because I am confident it would give me a competitive advantage among construction professionals in the Nigerian construction Industry.
V.O: What did you study in your first degree?
Me: I have a Bachelors degree in Quantity surveying.
V.O. And you have been working as a quantity surveyor.
Me: Yes I have
V.O: Who would be paying your fees?
Me: I have the support of my Uncle.
VO: What does he do?
Me: He is an architect and owns a construction company.
VO: Have you travelled to the US before
Me: Yes I have
The she kept typing for a while and dropped my passport in the box beside her.
You pick up your passport in three working days at she circled and passed me the white paper. Don’t forget to take your I20 with you. No Document was checked
NB: I had a valid B1B2 and was scared as hell because I heard so many stories that if I get denied my B1B2 would be cancelled. Thank you all for your contributions on this thread it has been so helpful. I wish all intending applicants Gods favour your testimony is on the way.

congratulations
